DUBLIN, Ohio (Reuters) - Tiger Woods left himself with a mountain to climb in his bid for a sixth victory at the Memorial Tournament but said he was "not too disappointed" after carding a two-over-par 74 in Friday's second round.

The American world number one, the defending champion here at Muirfield Village Golf Club, struggled with his putting on slick greens in tough, windy conditions to finish at one-over-par 145, a distant 10 shots behind early leader Bill Haas (67).

"Tough conditions out there and I didn't exactly play my best either," Woods told reporters after bogeying his final hole, the par-four ninth, before trudging up the hill toward the imposing clubhouse.

"I'm just trying to get under par for the day for my round, and that obviously didn't turn out to be the case. I thought I had a good chance to at least get to even par for my round.

"The last hole I ended up making bogey. All in all, it was a day fought hard. I'm not too disappointed with it (his game). I'm not that far off. On a golf course like this, with the wind gusts like this, it's tough."

Woods missed only one fairway during the second round but hit just 10 of 18 greens in regulation and totaled 30 putts as he posted his worst score here after 36 holes since his tournament debut in 1997.

"It's a little rough out there," the 14-times major winner said after mixing two birdies with two bogeys and a double at the par-five 15th where he three-putted from just five feet.

"It's not that hard to make bogeys and doubles on this golf course. You miss it in the wrong spot, get the wrong gust, it's tough. We had a few shots in our group that ended up in special interesting spots."

SPECTACULAR CHIP-IN

Woods, who triumphed by two shots here last year after spectacularly chipping in for birdie at the par-three 16th, is known for his brilliant putting but even he struggled on the fast-running greens on Friday.

"I had a hard time with the speed," said the American, who has already won four PGA Tour titles this season in just seven starts. "They don't look that fast, but they're putting fast.

"They (putts) were moving all over the place. It's tough. You try and stay below the hole as best you can, but sometimes you have to get the ball on the green. It was kind of a little mental thing I was struggling with out there."

Though the fickle winds gusted up to up to 25mph on the challenging, Jack Nicklaus-designed layout, Woods felt good scores were still possible, as fellow American Haas proved.

"The way this golf course is playing right now, you have to take advantage of certain holes, the downwind holes for sure," he said. "Some of the par-fives are playing more difficult than others.

"But you can shoot a round under par here, you've just got to really play well."

WHO RUNS THE ELECTION: The Interior Ministry oversees the election. No outside election observers are permitted. Protesters in 2009 claimed vote rigging denied reformist candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi victory and handed victory to Ahmadinejad. The ministry data claimed that Ahmadinejad had strong backing in rural areas that overcame Mousavi's core support in Tehran and other cities. Mousavi and another 2009 candidate, Mahdi Karroubi, have been under house arrest since early 2011.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Ray Manzarek, a founding member and keyboardist of 1960s rock group The Doors, died on Monday at a medical clinic in Germany at age 74 following a battle with cancer, the group's manager Tom Vitorino said.

Manzarek, who lived in Northern California's Napa Valley wine country for the past decade, had been seeking treatment in Germany for bile duct cancer, Vitorino said. He died in Rosenheim, Germany, surrounded by his wife and brothers.

Singer Jim Morrison and then-UCLA film student Manzarek formed The Doors in 1965 after a chance meeting at Los Angeles' Venice Beach, and Manzarek's keyboard work would go on to be a touchstone of hits like "Break On Through to the Other Side" and "Light My Fire."

The band, which was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993, sold some 100 million records since its heyday with psychedelic-era classics such as 1971's "Riders on the Storm."

Manzarek's electric organ was a defining aspect next to Morrison's booming voice in the band's blues- and jazz-influenced take on rock and roll.

"I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of my friend and bandmate Ray Manzarek today," The Doors guitarist Robby Krieger said in a statement. "I'm just glad to have been able to have played Doors songs with him for the last decade. Ray was a huge part of my life and I will always miss him."

The Doors broke up shortly after Morrison's death from heart failure in 1971, but their mythology exploded following the 1980 publication of the biography "No One Here Gets Out Alive" and the 1991 film, "The Doors," by director Oliver Stone.

The band recorded a total of eight albums between 1967 and 1972. After the band's break up, Manzarek released two albums with the rock band "Nite City" in the late 1970s and six solo albums, most recently "Translucent Blues" in 2011 with blues-rock guitarist Roy Rogers.

Manzarek and Krieger became locked in a legal battle with drummer John Densmore in 2003 after the two reunited under The Doors name and later "The Doors of the 21st Century," but were finally forced to tour as Manzarek-Krieger.

Manzarek, who was born in Chicago in 1939, embraced old age in a 2006 interview with Reuters.

"We occupy these bodies for 70, 80, 90 years, and it's so much fun being alive on planet Earth that you want to keep this thing as fresh as you possibly can," he said.

"The spirit, the mind, the soul, what's inside of you just gets hipper and hipper as you get older. ... You get a whole broadened outlook on things," he added. "That just naturally keeps going, but the damn body slows down."

Manzarek is also the author of two novels and most notably the 1998 memoir, "Light My Fire: My Life with The Doors."

Manzarek is survived by his wife, Dorothy, two brothers, a son, daughter-in-law and three grandchildren.

While Canseco might have violated the laws of human decency and broke new ground — in notoriety and absurdity — in taunting an alleged assault victim, he may have only broken a few of Twitter's rules. Indeed, Twitter is as notoriously defensive of free speech as it is quick to suspend verified accounts with thousands of followers that, say, . And, again, this is an ongoing investigation. (A spokesperson for the Clark County DA's office confirmed in a phone call with The Atlantic Wire that no charges have been filed.) And , and even Westboro Baptist Church still tweets hate language about major news events all day long. But Twitter also has  that prevent the publishing or posting of "private and confidential information" or "direct, specific threats of violence." And in his initial rant Wednesday afternoon, Canseco shared private information that is my no means confidential any longer. The confessed steroid user and famous self-promoter's biggest specific threat may have been to take a polygraph about this incident on national TV, but he also brought back tremors of what happens when alleged assault victims get outed on Twitter (we've crossed out the woman's name in this case):

All of those tweets have since been deleted. So has another, which gave the woman's place of work and its address, asking the media to conduct a polygraph of the woman... at said place of work. And only one tweet referencing the woman by name remains as of this writing:

We watched as the bizarre series of tweets played out, and Canseco's account was not suspended at any time, despiteurging their followers to alert Twitter that Canseco abused the service. It's unclear whether or not Twitter or Canseco (or someone with access to Canseco's account) deleted the tweets among them that vanished. A representative from Twitter did not respond to multiple inquires from The Atlantic Wire on Wednesday afternoon, seeking clarity on the service's policy on the naming of alleged sexual assault victims — it is a longstanding practice in the mainstream media to withhold names, as research has shown that making them public tends to reduce the number of victims who speak out against their attackers to their families and the authorities. But if you look at recent high-profile rape cases and Twitter's Terms of Service, it's clear that Canseco may have only crossed the line in certain respects — and it's becoming more clear that the line may need to be moved. 

In Torrington, Connecticut, the witholding of police investigation documentsto theof two 13-year-old girls allegedly raped by a star football player and his friend. In Steubenville, Ohio, the 16-year-old victim's name was bleeped in court, but still slipped on air . As a guilty verdict in the Steubenville case was read and two high-school football players were found guilty, the Daily Kos caught these Twitter users using the Jane Doe victim's first name:

If you recall,  for threatening Steubenville's Jane Doe on Twitter and eventually pled guilty to telecommunications harassment and were placed on six months probation. But those girls were arrested for the threats, not for releasing her name. In the U.K., where there are stricter libel and privacy laws than here in the U.S. —  that a law there grants victims and alleged victims of rape lifelong anonymity — there is a case where people were punished and asked to pay a fine for leaking the name of a woman raped by soccer player Ched Evans, .

We have also seen the other side of this. Back in 2012, a teenager named Savannah Dietrich violated a gag order and named her teenage rapists, who she felt received too lenient a plea bargain. By doing so, she faced a . The boys, , did eventually receive a stricter punishment and Dietrich was vindicated. Again, Dietrich was in trouble for violating the gag order which she violated on Twitter. It's hard to tell if she broke any of Twitter's rules. If anything, her case shows that Twitter is an avenue to name names, however legally serious.

If you look at , there are those sections and policies against threats of violence and personal information, but there's nothing about naming someone who you might be facing in court, or who might be the victim of a certain crime:

Canseco appears to have broken one of those rules, by posting the phone number of the woman in question. It's not clear if tweeting the name and address of the gym where she apparently worked qualifies as her private street address. The other tweets, where Canseco calls the woman a liar and asks for the polygraph, do not seem to directly violate Twitter's TOS. "Twitter does not screen content and we do not remove potentially offensive content unless such content is a violation of our Terms of Service," . Though they're now deleted, the tweets which contained the photo, phone number, and work address of the woman were accessible to any of Canseco's 510,000-plus followers.  

It's not crazy to think Canseco opened up an avenue of harassment. Canseco gets wildly personal on Twitter as it is,of his manager while seeking publicity. Mind you, . But outings like this, before any case can get underway and with the track record of professional athletes and women on social media, could have a chilling effect on the victim and future victims. The  actually said that the national attention paid to Jane Doe harmed the case when it came to witnesses — and put stress on the young girl. 

Twitter loves its free speech. And people hate when . And in a sense, that free speech principle allows us to make fun of Justin Bieber or Ryan Seacrest or our sad dinners in 140 characters. It's also what allows Jose Canseco to be a jerk. We'll let you know if we hear back from Twitter.
