We Joiuns is planning to go to Kawagoe Festival on Oct. 20, Saturday.
In there, we can enjoy many food shops on the road, and there are also a lot of Omikoshi, which is Japanese traditional stuff, maybe. lol
why don't you all guys come and have a special Matsuri time with Joinus!?!?
It'll be one of a great memory in your Japan dayz.haha~~

10/20土曜日にJoiuns membersで埼玉県川越市の川越祭りに行こうと思っています。
祭りでは本当にたくさんのお店と、おみこしのパレードを楽しめるそうです＾＾！
夜のお祭りはかなりきれいらしくて、すごく盛りあがるとのこと～！
当日は東武東上線「志木駅」に16:30集合です。遅めの設定なので、ゆっくり休んでから参加できますよ。笑

Let's Jin JOINUS!!

Anyway, first of all I just want to say that JOINUS has been such an awesome club.

They make me feel as if I am at home and there is nothing to worry about because JOINUS members will

definitely help you with whatever problems that you face.

AND! They organize so many activities for us throughout the semester that you have no time to get homesick, seriously.

For example, within a short span of two weeks, I have attended three welcome tours organized by JOINUS, namely, the “Asakusa and Skytree tour”, the “Tokyo Tower tour” and last but not least the “Kamakura & Enoshima tour”.

All three tours were planned thoroughly and I have to say that I really appreciate the effort that was put in by the board members in organizing the trips for us.

I particularly loved the Tokyo Tower tour because the view was so magnificent, especially because we went at night. A wonderful place for couples~~~!!! It was 820 yen per entry into the tower but the money was definitely worth spending!

I had such a good time with all of those who went to Tokyo Tower. It was my first time vising the Tokyo Tower and I am sure it wouldn’t be the last!

Of course, I enjoyed the trip to Asakusa too! There were so many people though. For once I thought I would try the fortune-telling thing (100 yen per try) but I got a super bad reading. So, kind of regret paying for that, HAHA. But it was all in the name of fun! Good luck to those who are planning to get your fortune read!

The trip to Asakusa was, I would say, a very hot -- no pun intended -- but satisfying trip!

The delicious okonomiyaki that we ate for dinner after the trip made the whole tour even more fulfilling!  (Not forgetting nomikai after dinner…)

Tour to Kamakura and Enoshima

On 2012.9.12, we went to Kamakura and Enoshima with the Joinus members and international exchange students.

It took us over an hour to go from Ikebukuro to Kamakura. Although it took us long time to go there, we took the time to chat with one another. After we arrived at Kamakura, we went to a restaurant and had lunch.

Afterwards, we walked along the street in Kamakura, there are so many shops selling local souvenirs.We also went to see a big buddha, we really had so much fun there.
We also went to a beach and took so many nice pictures.

It was a great experience to go there with all the people from Joinus! We had so much fun there taking photos and chatting with each other.

We met so many new friends from all over the world and I was so happy to have such a great tour!

Hello mates XD!! haha We had an amazing welcoming party last Friday night!! =>>>

The purpose of this party was to give good opportunity to interact with new members.**

And I hope that every guys had an awesome time, and I' m sure it is right!! LOL

さて　ここからはJapaneseでwriteしていきますよ！hahaha

今回はなんと、70人近くものメンバーがattendしてくれました！ Thank you guys～～haha :**

最初にgroupingをしてメンバーを分けました。　それからおいしいご飯を食べながらself introducing, free talking.　

そして私たちはgameをしました。その名も Name Memorizing BINGO Game!!! XD

Bingo cardに交流をした、初めて会った人の名前を記入しました。　これでみんなばっちりメンバーの顔と名前を覚えられたよね！＾＾

こんな感じでみんな楽しくおしゃべりしたりしました！　みんな笑顔でgood atmosphereでしたよ！huhu

その後で何人かにはbig prizesもありました。lol Congratulation～＾＾

そしてJoinus PR Videoを見たり　仲良くなった友達でfree talkingをしたりと　最後までにぎやかでした。

On Friday the 28th of September, JOINUS held a welcome party, especially for the new exchange students who started their studies at Rikkyo University this autumn semester. A lot of new and old exchange students attended, and also the Japanese students of Rikkyo.
All students were given name tags, and a group number. Most of us were seated with people we had never met, or didn’t know too well, and this was great as we got to know more students, and to make new friends!
At first we listened to Mika introduce JOINUS to all the students, exactly what JOINUS is about, and what sort of events they hold. Afterwards we, had a little mingle with our group members, introduced ourselves and ate the delicious food JOINUS had organized for us. We got to know where each person was from and what they were studying, their hobbies etc. Then we were told that we would play a little “get-to –know-each other game”, we were to take a sheet of paper with 16 blank boxes, go around the room meet 16 new people (preferably 8 Japanese students and 8 international exchange students), introduce ourselves to them, get to know a little bit about them, and write their name in each box. As we collected our 16 names, we sat back down with our group members again, and played a bingo game with the names on our sheet. The JOINUS people randomly read out some students names and if we were to get 4 names in a row, we shout out “BINGO” and won a prize! This was a nice creative game, and a fun way to get to know people 
Afterwards, we continued on with eating and talking to other students. All in all, it was a great night, a fantastic way to start the new semester. I really enjoyed myself and I know a lot of other people did too. Looking forward to all the other events that JOINUS will hold for us in the future!
