アメリカのドキュメンタリー映画作家のジョシュア・オッペンハイマーが手がけた『アクト・オブ・キリング』（原題：The Act Of Killing）は、1960年代のインドネシアに怒った大量虐殺を加害者の視点で捉えた衝撃的な作品です。

『アクト・オブ・キリング』

1965年9月30日、インドネシア大統領親衛隊の一部が陸軍トップの6人将軍を誘拐・殺害したクーデター未遂事件、いわゆる「9・30事件」が起こりましたが、この作品映画は、その後の大虐殺をテーマとしたもの。

1960年代に、秘密裏に100万人規模の大虐殺を行った人々は、現在も国民的英雄として暮らしています。人権団体の依頼を受けたオッペンハイマー監督は、当局から被害者への接触を禁止されたため、加害者に取材を敢行。

国民的英雄であるが故に、喜々として取材に応じる虐殺の加害者たち。虐殺の模様を彼ら自身の手で演技して再現していく姿は、人間の悲惨さ・愚かさ・滑稽さが溶け合い、笑い出ししてしまいそうでいて、同時に吐き気を覚えるような“人間のかたち”を描き出していきます。

2012年制作のドキュメンタリー映画ですが、完成前のラフカットを観たエロール・モリス、ヴェルナー・ヘルツォークという2人の巨匠監督が作品に惚れ込み、製作総指揮として参加し、劇場公開を全面的にバックアップしたエピソードがあります。

2013年の山形国際ドキュメンタリー映画祭では、インターナショナル・コンペティション部門に『殺人という行為』というタイトルで出品され、山形市長賞（最優秀賞）を受賞しています。

もっと好調が続いているのが、外国人向けヴィラ。３００平方メートルから５００平方メートルの敷地に、延べ床面積２００平方メートルくらいの建物。
だいたいがオープンになったリビングで、その前には１０メートル×３メートルくらいのプールが付く。バスルームが付属している２０畳近いベッドルームが２室か３室ある。

外国人の不動産所有には制限が課されているため、日本でいう所有権は難しいが、リースホールドと呼ばれる使用権なら誰でも取得可能。＊写真はイメージになります。

こういったヴィラを２０年（＋２０年くらい延長可能な場合が多い）のリースホールドで購入する場合、同島の都市デンパサールの中心地で３,０００万円から６,０００万円。
ちょっと田舎のウブド地区に行けば、１０００万円以下でもある。

そして、このところ価格は上昇気味で、先週３０００万円だったのが、今週は３５００万円…こういう話はザラにある。

なぜか？

日本の平成バブルや米国のサブプライム、さらに中国の理財商品と違うのは、バリで動いているお金は、ほとんどが現金で借金ではない。
だから、値下がりしたから慌てて売るという動きも起きにくい。

したがって、景気が少々悪くなっても価格が大幅に下がるということは考えにくい。

それに、その時々で景気のいい国からお金を持った外国人がやってくる。ちょっと前は、資源国のロシアやオーストラリアが多かった。今は日本や華人系らしい。

それに見たところまだ開発の余地がある。新しい空港建設の計画もあるとか。つまり、バリ島は今後とも大いに発展しそうだ。だから、バブルもいまだ４合目。今買うのは悪くない。

一寸先は何が起こるか分からない世の中になった。

入社するときは超優良企業であっても、３０年もたつと斜陽が目立つようになる例が多い。大手の電機メーカーなどはその典型。５０代社員はリストラの主要ターゲットだ。

　ただ、大手企業の場合は割増退職金が手厚かったりする。２０００万円や３０００万円の現金が手元に残るケースも多いだろう。

多くの方がそれを元手に「新しいビジネスを」と考える。でも、傍で見ていると８割９割が失敗する。サラリーマンを何十年も続けてきた方と、若い時に起業した人間とでは、ビジネスに対する嗅覚やスタンスが決定的に異なるからだ。

今回は、そんな無理をせずに楽しくリタイアできる手法の１つを紹介したいとおもいます。

まず、夫婦２人で現金３０００万円と持ち家があるとする。子供は手がかからなくなっていると想定。年齢は５０代半ば。

その３０００万円を持ってバリ島に行く。永住許可を取るのはさほど難しくない。そこで１０００万円くらいの住宅を購入する。それなりにゆったりとした家が持てる。

　仮に、残り２０００万円をルピアに替えて現地の銀行に定期預金したとする。銀行にもよるが、金利９％ほどのところもあるというから、単純計算で、年間１８０万円にもなる。

　これを夫婦２人の１年の生活費にする。そんなに贅沢はできないが、日本よりもかなり豊かな暮らしが実現する。バリ島の中では富裕層並み。メイドも雇えるくらいだ。そうやって、１０年ほどバリ島で暮らす。

気候はいいし、食べ物もおいしい。

　ただ、６０代の半ばになると、健康面で少し心配になる。バリ島を引き揚げて日本に戻ることにする。２０００万円分の定期預金はそのまま手つかず。ただし、＊ルピアが円に対して目減りしている恐れがあるから注意。

　それでも、１０年前に購入した住宅は値上がりしている可能性がある。バリ島は経済成長が続いているから、不動産はそれに合わせて上昇が見込める。特に外国人向けのヴィラは先進国の住宅価格を基準に取引されるから、定期預金のルピアが減価した以上に値上がりしているかもしれない。

　うまくいけばこの夫妻は、バリへ移住したときに持ち出した３０００万円以上の現金をもって日本に帰っている可能性もある。

　また、その間に日本で所有していた住宅を賃貸に回しておけば、その収入が積み上がっている。ローンが残っている持ち家なら、賃貸に回してローン返済にあてられる。
