映画Monsters, Inc.をご覧になった方はお気付きかと思いますが、アメリカ・ヨーロッパの子どもは日本に比べてお化けよりもモンスターを怖がります。というよりホラー映画を見比べるとわかるように、日本の精神的にくる不気味なお化けよりも海外はびっくり系のキャラクターが多いことから、文化的にそもそも違いがあることが分かりますね。
