Beijing Forbidden City Tour

This place is enormous. And crowded. Make sure to allocate enough time, & preferably do it first thing. Also be sure to wander off to the sides, & visit the various exhibitions - ceramics, stone drums, jade etc. (make sure your ticket covers these as well as main entry). If you have a private guide, discuss what you want to see with your guide before going, as many tours only cover the main pavilions up through the centre, which after a while can get very wearisome due to the huge crowds - & it was not very busy when we were there! The gardens & halls off to the sides are very peaceful - not many people seem to venture there, but the exhibitions are very interesting.
Although it seems to make sense to visit Tian'anmen Square before crossing the road to the Forbidden City, do it afterwards or preferably on another day. It is worth it to get to the Forbidden City before the big tour groups, which will eventually drive you mad.
The Palace Museum (The Forbidden City) is directly across the street from Tienanmen Square. The traditional entrance to the Forbidden City complex is from the southern end, right by the picture of Mao Zedung. The Forbidden City is set out as a series of buildings/halls on the north/south axis. Each of these major buildings has a courtyard area and smaller buildings perpendicular on both the right and left sides. The "City" is said to contain 800 buildings and over 8,000 rooms. Even though not all of them are open to the public it will still take up a good portion of your day to view this site. The buildings are more and more impressive as you travel in this direction through the "City". After the last building you will find the Imperial Garden which contains very old cypress trees and plantings. Just past this you will see the fake "mountain". Apparently, a mountain to the north of a residence is good feng shui, however the Forbidden City does not have a mountain nearby so one was built.
Beijing forbidden city is a very famous tourist attractions now, and beijing forbidden city tour is low price. During forbidden city tour you can feel history of China. in a word forbidden city beijing if you come here it never let you down!

Jinshanling Great Wall BeijingLandscapes

Everything that I had read about The Jinshanling Great Wall did not prepare me for its actuality. Yes it is crowded, but deservedly so. It is one of the great wonders of the world and should be seen by anyone who has an interest in Chinese history. To walk on the Great Wall is to be reminded of the remarkable achievement of Chinese building. The views are beyond extraordinary. Wear walking shoes and ignore the crowds. Reflect upon the history of the Wall and the fact that it stretches for almost four thousand miles across China, and was built as a buttress against invaders.
Saturday Nov 2, 2013, the Badaling section of the Great Wall was spectacular today. As Chairman Mao said - "You are not a hero if you have not climbed the Great Wall!" After the continues fog/smog of Beijing, the last 3 days, the Wall was a welcome sight, literally and figuratively. To walk the historic battlements in the company of the throngs was a lifetime experience. Preparation for the Wall walk should be begun at least one month before, if you want to do any justice to the inclines, some of which are 45 degrees, as my legs tell me. However, using the handrails helps. All in all, superb views, ambiance, and historical perspective.
One of the world's most famous sites and still hugely impressive. We all know it from the photos and documentaries, but being there and walking the Wall is spectacular. I was told that the Chinese believe that every man, to consider himself a 100% man, must walk the Wall. The power, cruelty (and madness) of the Emperor seem to be still hanging in the air as you walk the steps which were laid literally on the bodies of workers who died of famine while building the Wall. A definite must-see if you're around Beijing!
Great Wall of China is just amazing and marvellous! The walls around the mountains are really magnificent and historical. I can really feel history when I stand on the grounds. The Great Wall of China is truly A Wonder of the World! Although the slopes are a little sleep, but I really enjoyed climbing it! The scenery from above is simply spectacular!
However one thing that can be improved is the price of the souvenirs and drinks, it was really cold when I went there but a hot drink costs about US7! The souvenirs are really overcharged and bargain seldom works.
OK Jinshanling Great Wall id a real good place for you .when you are in Beijing and want to have a meanful holiday,No matter plan a Great Wall Hiking or Jinshanling Great Wall tour ! Great Wall of china tours choose Jinshanling !
