Saturday Nov 2, 2013, the Badaling section of the Great Wall was spectacular today. As Chairman Mao said - "You are not a hero if you have not climbed the Great Wall!" After the continues fog/smog of Beijing, the last 3 days, the Wall was a welcome sight, literally and figuratively. To walk the historic battlements in the company of the throngs was a lifetime experience. Great Wall of China is just amazing and marvellous! The walls around the mountains are really magnificent and historical. I can really feel history when I stand on the grounds. The Great Wall of China is truly A Wonder of the World! Although the slopes are a little sleep, but I really enjoyed climbing it! The scenery from above is simply spectacular!
However one thing that can be improved is the price of the souvenirs and drinks, it was really cold when I went there but a hot drink costs about US7! The souvenirs are really overcharged and bargain seldom works.
