Court officials said they have only confirmed that 94 Social Security numbers were obtained and they don't believe the larger number was compromised, but they wanted to alert the public to the possibility as a precaution.

The broader information "just happened to be on a server in an area that was accessed," said Veronica Diseth, director of the courts' information services division.

The breach happened due to vulnerability in an Adobe Systems Inc. software program, ColdFusion, that has since been patched, court officials said. The hack happened sometime after September but wasn't caught until February, they said.

In a written statement, Adobe spokeswoman Heather Edell noted that the issue has been resolved.

"Adobe recommends that users follow security best practices by updating software to the latest version available," she wrote.

Mike Keeling, the courts' information technology operations and maintenance manager, said officials were alerted to the breach by a business on the East Coast that had a similar intrusion.

"They recognized our information in their breach log," Keeling said, which led them to install the patch provided by Adobe and start an investigation.

When court officials were first alerted to the breach, they believed all of the information accessed was public record, and didn't think confidential information was taken, but following an investigation by the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center, the broader breach was confirmed in April, said courts spokeswoman Wendy Ferrell.

Court officials said a law enforcement agency also investigated the case but they declined to say which one. They said the investigation was concluded and there was no information on who might be to blame.

Keeling said he didn't believe the courts were a specific target.

"The hackers were probably opportunistic," he said. "They were more than likely just fishing for data."

Ferrell said that once the breach was confirmed, it took additional time to go through the files and increase security to the website, which is why there was a lag in notifying the public. The 94 known names breached are being contacted by letter, she said. The rest of the people who are potentially affected come from a defined group:

Those booked into a city or county jail within the state of Washington between September 2011 and December 2012 may have had their name and Social Security number accessed.

Names and driver's license numbers may have been obtained from people who received a DUI citation in Washington state between 1989 through 2011, had a traffic case in Washington filed or resolved in a district or municipal court between 2011 and 2012, or had a superior court criminal case in Washington state that was filed against them or resolved between 2011 and 2012.

Keeling acknowledged that confidential information should have been kept in a different area, "and now they are."

"I can say nothing more than it was an oversight on our part," he said.

Keeling said officials have added a number of additional security measures, including isolating anything that could be sensitive into more protected areas, implementing code to prevent hackers from getting to other parts of a server, and new encryption rules.

Ferrell said no one from the Administrative Office of the Courts or any court in Washington state will be asking for personal information over the phone or via email related to the breach.

Michael Cockrill, the state's chief information officer, said security experts have determined there were no breaches at state agencies, which are on a separate network.

"Cybersecurity and cyberterrorism attacks continue to rise in number and sophistication every year, affecting the private and public sector, and countless individuals," Cockrill said in a written statement. "The AOC data breach is a sobering reminder for every branch and every level of government that protection of personal and confidential data entrusted to government is a paramount responsibility."

Cockrill said Gov. Jay Inslee has directed his office and Consolidated Technology Services in the executive branch to assist the Office of the Courts to enhance the security of its judicial data.

Washington state Court Administrator Callie Dietz said that if any of the 94 people who are contacted by the court request credit monitoring, "we certainly will provide whatever we can do for them."

(Reuters) - Chesapeake Energy Corpwon the right to redeem $1.3 billion of notes early, as a federal judge rejected an argument by the notes' trustee, Bank of New York Mellon Corp , that the company waited too long to tell investors of its plans.

Chesapeake, the No. 2 U.S. natural gas company, said it intends to refinance the notes, and that Wednesday's decision by U.S. District Judge Paul Engelmayer in Manhattan will save it more than $100 million in interest payments.

That could ease Chesapeake's debt burden and other strains exacerbated by the lowest natural gas prices in a decade.

Engelmayer ruled that Chesapeake's March 15 notice to redeem the 6.775 percent notes, which would have matured in 2019, did not come too late.

He rejected the contention by Bank of New York Mellon that Chesapeake had missed a deadline a month earlier. The redemption price for the notes was 100 cents on the dollar plus interest.

"Chesapeake's notice was effective, not defective," and the bank's interpretation of the bond documents was "tortured and incoherent," Engelmayer wrote in a 92-page decision.

The evidence "convincingly establishes a meeting of the minds among the negotiating parties as to the deadlines," he added. "These parties intended and agreed that March 15, 2013, would serve as the deadline for Chesapeake to give notice."

PRICE OF NOTES TUMBLES

Engelmayer held a week-long trial in late April, and ruled before the scheduled May 13 redemption date.

Bank of New York Mellon spokesman Kevin Heine declined to comment on the decision, and said the bank will continue to represent bondholders' interests.

Domenic Dell'Osso, Chesapeake's chief financial officer, in a statement said he was pleased with the decision.

By early afternoon, the price of the Chesapeake notes had tumbled 7 cents on the dollar to 100.5 cents, with the yield rising to 6.67 percent from 5.27 percent, according to bond pricing service Trace.

Shares of Chesapeake rose 21 cents to $19.34 in early-afternoon trading on the New York Stock Exchange.

Investors favoring the bank's view included Archer Capital Management LP, Ares Management LLC, Aurelius Capital Management LP, Carlson Capital LP, Cetus Capital LLC, Latigo Partners LLC, Monarch Alternative Capital LP, P. Schoenfeld Asset Management LP, River Birch Capital LLC and Taconic Capital Advisors LP.

FUNDING GAP

Chesapeake has been cutting spending and focusing more on drilling its best properties after former Chief Executive Aubrey McClendon spent heavily and took on more debt to amass large acreage positions in U.S. shale basins.

The Oklahoma City-based company plans to sell as much as $7 billion of assets, but faces a $3.5 billion gap this year between estimated cash flow and capital expenses. It ended the first quarter with $13.4 billion of long-term debt.

Chesapeake also faces other legal issues.

These include probes by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission into a perk that gave McClendon a stake in company wells, and by the U.S. Department of Justice into possible antitrust violations over Michigan land deals.

McClendon stepped down as chief executive on April 1 and was succeeded on an interim basis by Steve Dixon.

Chesapeake's board has also been overhauled, with several directors installed by large investors, including Carl Icahn and Mason Hawkins of Southeastern Asset Management.

Officials did not rule out the possibility the death toll could rise more as emergency workers continued sifting through the charred remains of vehicles and homes built near the highway on the northern edge of the metropolis.

Residents pitched in to rescue people from the wreckage of crushed and burned cars and shattered homes. Television footage showed plumes of flame shooting out of homes in the pre-dawn darkness.

"We just pulled burned people, and put out the fire in the houses, but we don't really know what happened," said Rogelio Martinez, a resident of the neighborhood where the crash occurred.

A huge piece of the truck's gas tank was blown 50 yards by the force of the blast, landing atop the wall of a house and cars parked outside. Charred wreckage of cars littered the blast site.

Hundreds of police, ambulance drivers, paramedics, soldiers and firefighters gathered at the scene, where a giant plume of smoke rose over the area after the explosion around 5 a.m. Tuesday local time.

Pablo Bedolla, the mayor of Ecatepec, a mainly working-class area, said 20 homes and one school had been damaged in the blast. The explosion happened before class hours, so there were no apparent injuries in the school, but emergency personnel at the scene reported pulling dead victims from their homes, some apparently burned in their beds.

"People are very shaken, above all because of the injuries and the large number of dead," said Bedolla. "I've spoken with the families of the victims, and they are just sobbing."

The explosion closed the highway between Mexico City and Pachuca for hours.

The pre-dawn accident exposed two recurrent public safety issues in Mexico: extremely heavy trucks that are frequently involved in serious accidents, and the construction of improvised homes just feet away from major highways.

Some of the cinderblock homes hit by the massive explosion were just steps away from the busy, four-lane highway.

Mexican trucks, often overloaded or unsafely operated, have been involved in a number of spectacular, deadly accidents in recent years.

The truck involved in Tuesday's accident was a double tanker: one cab pulling two gas tanks. The driver was injured in the crash, and was under detention at a local hospital.

One year ago, the Mexican government announced measures to tighten inspections and lower maximum allowed weights for freight trucks after protests over a string of deadly accidents involving double-trailer trucks.

Mexico had allowed trucks to travel two-lane roads with loads of up to 80 metric tons and lengths exceeding 100 feet, compared to a U.S. limit of is 80,000 pounds (40 tons) on interstate highways. It subsequently reduced that limit by about 4.5 tons.

In April 2012, a double-trailer truck on a two-lane road in the Gulf coast state of Veracruz lost its rear trailer, which slammed into a bus carrying farm workers, killing 43 people.

LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) - It's retro week at the box office.

"Evil Dead," a remake of Sam Raimi's gleefully gory 1981 horror classic, and Universal's 3D re-release of Stephen Spielberg's 1993 sci-fi smash "Jurassic Park" are the only two movies opening nationwide this weekend.

That means the overall box office, which is running about 13 percent behind 2012, won't do much catching up this weekend. Last year at this time, "The Hunger Games" was about to cross $300 million with a $33 million third weekend.

On the specialty front, Fox Searchlight is debuting Danny Boyle's crime drama "Trance" on four screens. James McAvoy, Rosario Dawson and Vincent Cassell star in the R-rated tale of an art auctioneer who gets mixed up with a group of criminals partners and a hypnotherapist in order to recover a lost painting.

Sony Classics is opening the R-rated thriller "The Company You Keep." It's directed by Robert Redford, who stars with Shia LaBouf in the story of a former Weather Underground activist who goes on the run from a journalist who has discovered his identity.

Advance ticket sales have been strong for Shane Carruth's "Upstream Color," which indie distributor ERBP is opening at the IFC Center in New York. It's Caruth's second film. His first was the 2004's time-travel thriller "Primer,," which won the Grand Jury Prize for drama at the Sundance Film Festival. Caruth wrote the screenplay, diected, stars and composed the score.

The Weinsstein Company has its horror thriller "6 Souls" in 30 theaters.

As for "Evil Dead," Social-media activity has surged for "Evil Dead" over the past few days, and analysts say it should wind up No. 1 with around $22 million. That will be a win for Sony's TriStar, Film District and Ghost House Pictures, since its production budget is an estimated $17 million.

That's not a lot by Hollywood standards, but it is compared to the budget on Raimi's original "The Evil Dead," which was $375,000. That one made less than $3 million at the box office, with most people seeing it on VHS. Its over-the-top style and gruesome effects made it a cult favorite and set off waves of imitators.

The buzz around the remake took off after it premiered at the South by Southwest Film Festival last month. Good, and gory, was the takeaway. "It makes the 'Saw' movies look like 'The Care Bears," said one fan.

The timing looks right for "Evil Dead."

"Its pedigree and cult appeal give this film a built-in following," BoxOffice.com editor-in-chief Phil Contrino told TheWrap. "Add in the fact there hasn't been a horror film in the market for more than a month, and you've looking at a strong opening."

It's the top selling movie at online ticket seller Fandango.

What's more, "Evil Dead" already has more than 629,000 "likes" on Facebook, compared to the 69,000 that last April's homage/send-up of the genre, "Cabin in the Woods," had three days prior to its release. On Twitter, it's more than 55,000 to 17,000.

Raimi, who has gone on to direct three "Spider-Man" movies and "Oz the Great and Powerful," is a producer, along with Robert Tapert, who produced the original film, and Bruce Campbell, who played the heroic Ash in the original.

Director Alvarez will be making his feature film debut, after catching Raimi's eye with his short film "Panic Attack." He and Rodo Sayagues co-wrote the script, which got a polish by Diablo Cody.

Jane Levy (TV's "Suburgatory") plays the lead, who is taken by a group of her 20-something friends to a remote cabin to get off drugs cold turkey. There, the discovery of a Book of the Dead leads them to unwittingly summon up demons living in the nearby woods, and the blood-letting - and there's plenty of it - begins. Shiloh Fernandez, Lou Taylor Pucci, Jessica Lucas and Elizabeth Blackmore co-star.

"Evil Dead' is rated R, which in theory puts a ceiling on its box-office prospects. But there was really no other choice, if the filmmakers wanted to remain true to the spirit of the original, which was NC-17 for violence and gore. It makes sense to cater to hardcore fans, since the chances that "Evil Dead" will play beyond its genre base are slim. That's why even horror films that open well rarely show staying power at the box office.

"Evil Dead" will be on more than 3,000 screens in North America, and is opening in 20 foreign countries as well.

"Jurassic Park" - for which Universal spent $10 million on the conversion by Stereo D, the same outfit that worked on James Cameron's "Titanic" - will be on roughly 2,600 screens, about 300 of them Imax. T - and that's in line with the recent re-releases of of a couple of other blockbusters.

Last February, "Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace" was given a 3D re-release in 2,655 theaters. It opened with $22 million and went on to take in $43.4 million domestically.

A couple of weeks later, on this weekend last year, the 3D version of "Titanic" was able to bring in $17.3 million from 2,674 theaters before grossing $58 million total in North America. The 3D "Titanic' was a huge hit in China, however, where it took in an eye-popping $145 million.

Analysts see the 3D "Jurassic Park" landing in the mid-teen millions this weekend and taking in around $40 million over the course of its domestic run Universal is also opening it this weekend in Australia, Hong Kong, Lebanon, Russia, Ukraine and India, with the rest of the foreign rollout starting next week.

Wong, currently legal director at Twitter, could not immediately be reached for comment.

The new adviser will work with federal Chief Technology Officer Todd Park, and will join the White House as Obama focuses more attention and resources on fighting hackers.

Congress and the White House have been arguing about how best to address cybersecurity for more than a year.

Last month, the House of Representatives passed a new cybersecurity bill which will next be considered by the Senate. It is designed to help companies and the government share information on cyber threats, though concerns linger about the amount of protection it offers for private information.

Turkey's largest cell phone operator filed a $4.2 billion lawsuit in Washington last year alleging the Johannesburg-based company used bribery to win a mobile license in Iran that was first awarded to Turkcell.

But the court delayed the case in October pending a U.S. Supreme Court decision on the Alien Tort Statute, the U.S. human rights law on which Turkcell's suit is based.

In April, the high court limited the ability of foreign plaintiffs to invoke the 200-year old law without a strong U.S. connection to the conduct.

In a Wednesday filing, lawyers for Turkcell asked to dismiss the case in light of the Supreme Court ruling.

"From an operational perspective, there is an insatiable appetite for overhead imagery to build situational awareness. Currently, platforms keep growing to collect and disseminate the necessary information. This information is not timely in its response, it's unwieldy in its deployment and it lacks the flexibility to enable cross-domain interoperability," said Vollmecke."Unless we get our arms around all of this, the amount of data will be overwhelming and we will miss precious days trying to get the right information to the right international stakeholders so they can do their work and not sit waiting on the sidelines."

Vollmecke said the use of a cloud computing environment will improve the ability to quickly share critical information between nations and non-governmental organizations. He described the Cloud Concept and Demonstration project that NCOIC is working on for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).

The NGA project is a collaborative effort by NCOIC and its member-companies to show the interoperability and movement of data in an open cloud-based infrastructure. NGA is providing unclassified data that supports a scenario depicting the 2010 earthquake in Haiti. The project builds on a series of successful lab interoperability demonstrations based on Haiti that NCOIC conducted in 2010.

"In Haiti, we collected a huge amount of data compared to the Tasmanian tsunami of 2004. Tomorrow the amount of data could be 100 fold and one organization alone will not be able to manage the inputs," said Vollmecke, who is also a major general in the U.S. Air National Guard and, while on active duty, commanded two airlift wings during the 2010 Haitian crisis. "With the NGA community cloud project, NCOIC is testing a collaborative, real-time environment that has both suppliers and consumers of data at different security levels."

Information technology solutions provider NJVC is serving as team leader of the NGA project and participants include Boeing, The Aerospace Corporation and Open Geospatial Consortium. "NCOIC has assembled a team you would not normally see on a government-led project," Vollmecke told the NATO audience. "Using a consortium is the most rapid and effective way to facilitate the advancement and deployment of technology. The parties can set aside their traditional roles and aren't subject to the contractual and legal walls that typically are put up between government and contractors. The exchange of information and ideas is more free-flowing."

Vollmecke, who is NCOIC program director, reported that Cycle One of the NGA project is complete and the cloud infrastructure has been defined and built, with the team establishing standards and processes, utilizing best practices, and addressing potential problems such as ownership, bandwidth, latency, availability, access and security.

In Cycle Two, set to begin in May, NCOIC member-companies will test out the infrastructure. They will function as "actors" information consumers and providers like police, firefighters, rescue workers, medical personnel, etc. who plug into the clouds and use the geospatial data to activate unique, sometimes proprietary, applications that demonstrate end-user capabilities.

"The key is to have a core or resident capability in the cloud that can be rapidly expanded on demand, when there is an event or disaster," said Vollmecke. "This will free up intelligence analysts to work their problems, while putting geospatial information into the hands of other users. Cloud technology can improve everyone's capability and effectiveness, while reducing cost, time and risk."

Following his acclaimed debut last year, the pressure has been stacked on the Belgian designer to deliver again in what is only his second ready-to-wear show in one of the most influential jobs in fashion.

At Paris' Hotel des Invalides, fashion editors fought through swelling crowds to take a glimpse into the storied house's future.

They saw Simons live up to their expectations.

Other shows of the day expressed fall fashions through vivid color, like in the strong showings from Issey Miyake and Roland Mouret.

Some like Isabel Marant got into the wintry mood through muted palettes, serving up some great comfy knitwear.

CHRISTIAN DIOR

Raf Simons confidently evolved the angular portions of previous seasons' work into softer, more saleable silhouettes. The new Bar jacket, looser and in trendy wool denim, seemed to point to a man who's finally settled in to his role.

This season was the supplest fusion so far of his minimalism and the house's ultra-femininity and curves.

Fall-winter saw a parade of "memory dresses," some 48 looks that delved into the iconic houndstooth, peplums, and the original '40s designs of Monsieur Dior himself. They hit the catwalk reimagined, sometimes asymmetrically, alongside enormous mirror ball decor.

Like thought bubbles, the silver spheres set the tone for the musing, which included an embroidered tulle bustier A-line dress an archive piece called "Miss Dior 1949" reworked in hip embroidered black leather. Elsewhere, blown-up houndstooth had a surreal quality, in vertical slices down column silhouettes. It was a great re-working of the classic pattern first used by the house in the late '50s.

Apart from one burst of vermillion, the muted palette of black, navy, white and pale pink was further proof of his evolution. After all, while at Jil Sander, it was Simons who started the bright color trend that's now spread across the world.

There was plenty of imagination with silhouettes delving into the fashions of the '50s and even '60s. And prints and embroideries of surreal eyes and tears that resembled ants, gave the show a surrealistic edge, reminiscent of Salvador Dali. However, the show could have done without the motifs by Andy Warhol, such as a sparking stiletto print, which sometimes jarred as overly adolescent, and a tad tacky.

Overall, the show was a success; one step further on in Dior's mission statement for the designer, to "propel its iconic style into the 21st century."

ISSEY MIYAKE

Issey Miyake cast a few minutes of sunshine over a gray Paris sky on Friday with a show brimming with color.

Checkered patterns added to the fun, and it was invigorating to see them on models, who actually smiled as they walked.

The show's inspiration, said designer Yoshiyuke Miyamae, "comes from landscape seen from the sky."

Optical crisscrosses of varying thickness created great dynamic movements on stretch fabric, as he imagined an aerial view of a dense forest.

Not all of the 42 looks worked. Some came across as busy, especially toward the end. But the mastery of tonal color really stole the show.

Tops in rich ultramarine, vivid jade and vermilion saw colors blocked together in changing intensities. And discords such as green with bright turquoise made pockets stand out.

ROLAND MOURET

The most Parisienne of the silver screen icons, Catherine Deneuve, was the inspiration behind Roland Mouret's playful, colorful and womanly show.

But this was not the shy Deneuve of New Wave classic "Belle de Jour," but the actress of the glamorous 1983 film "The Hunger" with sharp '80s shoulders and garish eye makeup.

The bold palette popular of that era with its blue marine, russet, beige, black and dark red worked with panache here in setting off the saleable va-va-voom silhouettes.

As ever, Mouret's derrieres were the most flattering seen this season. But the most interesting feature was his square details and paneling.

Sometimes softly asymmetrical, three-dimensional fabric folds gave the collection the feeling of being slightly off-kilter.

Sublime statement coats hung down from an incredibly strong retro shoulder-frame with the best look in ultramarine.

ISABEL MARANT

"The starting point was that in winter you just don't want to dress up," said Isabel Marant of her relaxed Paris show that played with layers and featured some great cosy knitware in off-white and black.

The loungy attitude was a neat contrast to the show venue: Paris' monumental Place Vendome, which is steeped in grand history.

Gone were the signature Marant motifs; as were the embellishments, apart from the odd set of studs on a belt or a black jacket.

In their place: comfy silhouettes for an uncomplicated fall.

Elongated T-shirts were mixed and matched with vests, truncated sweaters and some menswear pieces.

On-trend peekaboo slits near the bust were a reminder, though, that Marant may have forgotten to get complicated, but she hasn't forgotten to be sexy.

Saturday's shows include Viktor & Rolf, Vivienne Westwood and Jean Paul Gaultier.

A late-inning substitute, Valdespin hit a grand slam in the 10th as the New York Mets rallied past the Los Angeles Dodgers 7-3 Wednesday to save early sensation Matt Harvey from his first loss of the season.

"Coming back and winning a game like that, that's huge for us as we move forward," manager Terry Collins said.

Matt Kemp hit his first homer of the year and drove in three runs as Los Angeles grabbed a 3-1 lead against Harvey. The budding Mets ace pitched pretty well, though, and was bailed out when his teammates came back.

David Wright tied the game with a two-out single in the ninth off closer Brandon League, handed his first blown save in a Dodgers uniform.

Pinch-hitter Mike Baxter hustled for a leadoff double when his sinking liner to left glanced off the wrist of a sliding Carl Crawford. Baxter advanced on Ruben Tejada's sacrifice, and League had a chance to get out of it after third baseman Jerry Hairston Jr. crashed into the railing to make a spectacular catch on Daniel Murphy's foul popup.

Wright, however, lined the next pitch to right-center for his first hit of the night.

"Definitely a tough one," League said.

John Buck led off the 10th with a single against Josh Wall (0-1), and Ike Davis walked on four pitches. Both runners moved up on Marlon Byrd's sacrifice, and Lucas Duda was intentionally walked to load the bases.

In the dugout, Harvey was encouraging Valdespin.

"I told him they're going to walk Duda and you're going to win this game," the pitcher said. "He was sitting there nice and loose, then he walked up there and delivered."

With the Dodgers playing five infielders and two shallow outfielders, Valdespin drove a 2-1 pitch to right for his first career slam and game-ending RBI.

"I'm not thinking about the infielders. I want to hit a good pitch," Valdespin said. "I'm ahead, it's time to be aggressive and hit the ball."

Valdespin, who grounded out as a pinch hitter with a chance to tie it in the eighth, tossed his helmet high in the air and hopped on home plate into the arms of excited teammates.

"He gets pumped up for that stuff," Collins said. "He just relishes that big moment during the game."

The Mets said it was the sixth walk-off grand slam in club history and their first since Kevin McReynolds connected on June 25, 1991, against Montreal, according to research by the Elias Sports Bureau.

Bobby Parnell (1-0) worked around a leadoff walk in the 10th.

Kemp's two-run shot off Harvey in the sixth, originally ruled a triple before a replay review, snapped a 1-all tie and ended the slugger's drought of 86 at-bats dating to last season.

Ted Lilly tossed five effective innings in his first start since shoulder surgery, giving the Dodgers' injury-depleted rotation a boost. Los Angeles had won five in a row at Citi Field.

The 37-year-old Lilly allowed one run and struck out seven, wriggling out of two jams in his first big league outing since last May. The two-time All-Star opened 5-1 last season before he was sidelined by a left shoulder injury that required surgery in September.

"First time out, pretty good. Yeah, really good. I thought he was sharp," Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said. "That's what Teddy does right there."

Harvey, who beat Washington phenom Stephen Strasburg last Friday, entered with a 0.93 ERA. He fanned seven in six innings against the Dodgers but failed in his bid to become the first five-game winner in the majors. The Mets said he was the first pitcher since 1900 to win his first four starts in a season while allowing no more than 10 total hits, according to research by the Elias Sports Bureau.

Three days later, Tampa Bay left-hander Matt Moore matched that feat.

Hoping to cash in on Harvey's success, the Mets offered a special ticket promotion that included Harvey T-shirts. A crowd of 24,130 showed up on a windy night in Queens to watch the 24-year-old right-hander make his 15th major league start.

"I don't get caught up in the marketing stuff too much," Collins said before the game. "When you're around this guy, he's not caught up in that, either."

Harvey was cruising until he walked Adrian Gonzalez on a full-count pitch with two outs in the sixth. Kemp drove a 2-0 fastball, clocked at 95 mph, toward the right-field corner where a security guard stationed at the foul pole tried to catch the ball just behind the wall.

The ball caromed off his hands and back onto the field as umpires ruled it in play and Kemp pulled into third base. But the umps went inside for a look at the replay and, after a 2-minute delay, correctly called it a two-run homer that gave Los Angeles a 3-1 lead.

"I didn't have my good fastball, so I knew I would be counting on everybody behind me," Harvey said. "I was pretty happy with my changeup. Looking back, I wish I had used it more."

A sacrifice fly by pinch-hitter Justin Turner pulled the Mets to 3-2 in the sixth.

Harvey, a legitimate threat with the bat, doubled off the left-field fence leading off the fifth and scored the tying run when Tejada grounded a single just inside first base to snap an 0-for-18 slump.

One hit later, the Dodgers appeared to have trouble with the bullpen phone in their dugout the second time that's happened to a visiting team at Citi Field this season.

Harvey was nicked for a first-inning run on Kemp's RBI groundout. Beginning with that batter, he retired 16 of 17.

Mets LHP Jonathon Niese said he might push his bullpen back a day this week but he'll definitely make his next scheduled start Sunday against Philadelphia. (Reuters) - Twitter has struck one of its biggest advertising deals to date with media agency Starcom MediaVest Group (SMG), the companies said, in the social media site's latest effort to boost revenue.

The multi-year agreement, which includes preferred inventory and a direct pipeline into Twitter's data feed for media planning purposes, is worth up to hundreds of millions of dollars, according to sources familiar with the deal. They declined to be named because the transaction details are private.

"In about 18 months, Twitter has gone from an experiment to essential," said Laura Desmond, global chief executive of Starcom, in an interview about the partnership on Monday.

"The deal is about research and experiences on behalf of SMG's clients," said Adam Bain, president of global revenue at Twitter.

As part of the worldwide firm Publicis Groupe, SMG buys and plans media on behalf of clients ranging from Samsung Electronics Co Ltd to Kellogg Co. The partnership marks a significant win for Twitter which has been courting Madison Avenue to expand its advertising business.

With 200 million users, Twitter has become extremely popular for its effective way of sharing short, 140-character messages. But the fast growing social media site now in its seventh year is furiously ramping up its ability to make revenue in the face of stiff competition from Facebook Inc and Google Inc.

Twitter is expected to generate less than $600 million in revenue this year, according to the research firm eMarketer.

The partnership with SMG culminated last fall after a strategy planning session between Desmond and Twitter Chief Executive Dick Costolo. SMG is making a push to connect traditional media buys like TV commercials and glossy ad pages in magazines with chatter on social media across the Web.

As part of the agreement, Twitter and SMG will co-create a virtual lab to research how people tweet and watch TV.

Twitter has also partnered with TV viewership company Nielsen to measure what people are saying on Twitter about TV shows.

Additionally, Twitter and SMG will launch a mobile product to survey users in real-time.

"We think agencies play a big role bringing interesting new ideas to the platform and we want to support that," said Bain, adding that Twitter plans to form more of these types of partnerships. "We want to create a great framework to measure."
