Arizona Folklore Preserve opens 17th season

The Arizona Folklore Preserve is ready for another season of outstanding musical performances every Saturday and Sunday afternoon starting Aug. 31. For his first show of the season, Arizona's Official State Balladeer and AFP founder Dolan Ellis will present "Summer Is Over." Kids are back in school, leaves will soon be turning, and Thanksgiving and Christmas are just around the corner, it seems. Dolan will take a look back at Arizona's summer in songs that will remind you of visits to Arizona's high country. He's traveled more than a million miles of Arizona's highroads, back roads, and sometimes no roads, documenting the stories of Arizona's special places and special people in song and photographs.
