Whichcountry do you image when you heard the word the discrimination of black people? Many people may image the United States. WhenI watched this movie, I
recognized I don't know the actual condition ofapartheid well. As Japan and the United States are relations close for a long time, most Japanesestudents study about King,
Martin Luther, Jr. at school and in 2009 Mr. Obama havebeen the first President as a black person, I can visualize the United States whenasked about the image of
discrimination of black people.

 I know that in Europeand America, black people had been ruled as slave by white people and discriminated from white people only forthe reason their skin color is black. But why in South Africa where many black people live apartheidhad been executed?  In South Africa a little white people live too. Mostof them are descendants of white people who migrated from Britain in early 20^thcentury when Britain had colonized
South Africa. After the Second World War, althoughSouth Africa became independent, white people had ruled South Africa and since 1948white statesmen had gradually divided white people from black people. Then whitestatesmen insisted that each race develop each themselves because in South Africa thereare many different tradition, culture and language. If this opinion were right, weshould praise them for promoting multiculturalism. But their action wasclearly discrimination. White statesmen just wanted only white people to live comfortably andforced black people not to see white lives in order not to have emotional gap. If thismovie is made faithfully, all white statesmen are criminals. The sight that even women andchildren were killed for their skin color was so awful that I wanted to avert myeyes.

 In 1991 Apartheidis over by many brave activists and new South Africa restarted by black statesmen for all people regardless of skincolor. But people in South Africa may
never be able to forget this terrible incident. When thefirst World Cup in Africa was held in 2010, I thought Thiscompetition was historically meaningful. South Africa had been internationally criticized for apartheid. But tohold an international event like world cup in South Africa means that all races inSouth Africa cooperate and show to
the world that they returned to the internationalstage.

 Now in SouthAfrica there are still many unsafe areas. But they will try to resolve problems with humane ways. And centering on SouthAfrica, the countries in Africa
will grow in economy or cultural field.

It isdifficult for Japanese to realize that people discriminate for skin color. Butwe must know human’s immorality history and convey themto future generations in order
not to happen again.

After seeing this movie, I studied about this. Then I knewthis movie was a true story.
Though it is wonder weather true Erin is like movieErin, It seems that this movie was
faithfully made. By this movie, I got to think abouttwo things.

First,about the relation between Erin and George, in this movie Erin works in an office and George does housework. Recently in theworld women'sadvance in society is
remarkable. In even Japan, the word "Ikumen", men whoactively taking care of their children, is in currency. I agree with this custom, becausethere are many each
advantages. I felt Erin could work hard not only forthree children but also for women fighting against pain which men cannot understand. Ineach workplace, there are many
scene which it is difficult for them to deal with. Andthis custom leads to the

But not allpeople go well. Erin is a single mother without educational background. Her success is based on the accidental encounter withEd and George. In fact, it is  difficult for women who finished child-care to returnto the office. Moreover like George there may be men who feel discomfort for working as ahousehusband. Besides for men,
especially Japanese, it is difficult to get paternityleave. I think can’t get along with
each other if each can’t understand each other’sgoodness.

Second, aboutPG&E, for money this company committed the major offense that it cheated the residents and threatened their lives. Thereare many cases like this in
industrial nations. In Kumamoto and Niigata in Japan, Minamatadisease was prevalent. This was caused by eating the seafood inthe ocean polluted with factory
drainage. And this illness paralyzes human's nervoussystem and, in a serious case, leads to death. Even now, thereare many people who are still suffering from that.
The trial about Minamata disease was performed from1967. But in PG&E, in 1993 Erin filed the lawsuit. If the executive of PG&Ehad paid attention to the world, they
wouldn’t have hurt the residents and needed to pay alarge amount of compensation.

When I sawthis movie, I had only a hate against PG&E. It is difficult to succeed by the manufacturing industry with consideringenvironment. But it is irrational to
manage a factory with considering only the profits of thecompany. Besides now people tend to buy environment-friendly goods. The era ofmass production and mass consumption was over. Now companies which hardly takesout garbage from the world is needed. I think that from altruism a useful thingis produced although from
egoism only a harmful thing is produced. If weconsider not only for money but for creature, the earth will change to the star where itis more easy to live.

 When I saw thismovie, I realize that there are many people who don’t understand the real problem of Global Warming. In the movie, therewas a scene that a frog was in a
beaker entered water and a man warmed gradually them. This represented the present situation. So most people don’t really feelthe phenomenon, although know the
word "global warming". I was one of them.

First, Ithought there was no relationship between global warming and our lives.  However the number of the landing of the typhoon decreases, Ibegin to recognize the
 
abnormal weather. Usually a typhoon hits Japan aboutfour times. For past ten years, a
 
typhoon hit except for 2004, although the number ofgenerating of the typhoon was

almost the same. This means typhoons hit other placessuch as China and Korea. The  most unusual phenomenon occurred in 2004; a typhoonhit 10 times. It is strange for
 
me that the number of landing of the typhoon hasdecreased, although some people may
 
feel that typhoon landing seems unusual.

Global Warmingcauses various phenomena. And these also bring about serious  problems like a genealogy. For example, by rising temperaturesit makes easier to
 
generate steam from the sea. Since it gets easier togenerate clouds, someone may think  that it is good for the area where the amount ofrainfall is low, but that is wrong. In fact,
in Europe the flood has happened frequently, and inAfrica the drought has occurred.

As GlobalWarming becomes more serious, the creatures which are pleased with it  
may be only animals and plants which break anecological system. And these are
 
dangerous for human beings and animals. And whileabout 100 species have been  exterminated per day, the unknown virus extinct at theice age has revived under the
 
influence of Global Warming.

As thisissue is what we have done, we must improve and resolve these. To reduce CO2, 
for example, we can use public transportation or saveelectricity, though it’s difficult for
 
developing countries. To save electricity means thatit isn’t necessary to burn the fossil
 
fuel used by thermal power station more than needed.

 In the movie, thenarrator said that many Americans aren’t aware of problems of
 Global Warming. But I think Japanese aren’t too. When Isaw the movie, I felt that this  movie was made in order to let people know theseproblems and the present situation.
 
Although this problem was produced by our parents andgrandparents, to make a
 
comfortable living we need to try to improve andresolve that. I think that we not only
 
leave this issue to the government but should act fromourselves. The time when we  must persevere has come.

Certainlythese opinions may be truth. But if that’s true, we have to try to cutemissions of carbon dioxide still more.
