ALONSO DON'T SIGN HAMILTON

FERNANDO ALONSO warned McLaren three years ago that signing Lewis Hamilton could cost them a world title.

Team owner Ron Dennis yesterday revealed the truth behind the feud that soured the young Brit's arrival in F1.

Dennis was asked on the eve of Sunday's British Grand Prix to talk about pandora glass beads the poisonous rivalry that still lingers - Alonso tried to get his former teammate kicked out of the race results in Valencia two weeks ago.

"It was very simple," said Dennis. "Alonso didn't expect Hamilton to be that competitive in his first year.

"He told me at the beginning it was my decision to sign a rookie like Hamilton but that it could cost me the constructors' championship.

"Fernando was calculating everything but not that Lewis would challenge him. That affected him massively."

The Spaniard could not have been more wrong with Hamilton making the best debut in the sport's history.
              Best Jordan Fusions Shoes Online
He finished his first race third, the next four second and won the sixth and seventh in Canada and America.

And he stole the world championship lead from reigning champion Alonso in only his fourth race.

Nationality 13-Australian, Ironically, it was not Hamilton who cost the Freephone: team both championships but Alonso as they were plunged into Spygate.

With Red Bull's Mark Webber revealing that Hamilton's friendship with Jenson Button was just "smoke and mirrors" on Wednesday, Dennis - who refereed many driver fall-outs including those between Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost - said clashes like the Red Bull duo in Istanbul were great for the sport.

"Every promoter, including Red Bull, should be happy about it. For weeks they have been in the media. Obviously nothing sells better than bad news," he added.

Alonso's team-mate Felipe Massa is warning McLaren that Ferrari can blast back at Silverstone after languishing in the doldrums since their opening-round win in Bahrain four months ago.

Massa said: "This weekend should provide a clear test of how much we have improved, 深圳搬家 both in performance and in terms of where we stand against the teams currently ahead of us."

Alonso added: "We are working hard and soon we will have a lucky weekend.

It is important to do well, not only here but with three races in four weeks, that's 75 points to play for in July."

   Nationality of British GP winner: 13-8 British, 7-4 German, 7-2 Australian, 9-2 Spanish Freephone: 0800 44 40 40

Other articles:
http://lkhgtyio.livejournal.com/9570.html
http://dogwaw1.blog.163.com/blog/static/16633568820105243539515/

Biden visits Iraq

BAGHDAD - Vice President Joe Biden brought Washington's concerns about Iraqi political tensions directly to leaders in Baghdad on Friday, but officials appeared to leave little room for outside mediation over whether to ban hundreds of election candidates for suspected links to Saddam Hussein's regime.
                              Bedat & CO Watch Replica
TAG Heuer Replica Watch Washington fears the blacklist - now more than 500 candidates and expected to grow - could set back reconciliation efforts between the majority Shiites who gained power with Saddam's fall and the Sunnis who hope to regain greater political footing in parliamentary LED Flexible Strip Crystal Series Crystal 5050 elections on March 7.

   The Associated Press

Other articles:
http://lkhgtyio.livejournal.com/7816.html
http://home.q.yesky.com/space-9211942-do-blog-id-588419.html

Biden urges both sides to make

US Vice-president Joe Biden yesterday implored Israelis and Palestinians to move beyond a diplomatic spat that has marred his trip to the region, urging the sides to waste no time in resolving their decades-old conflict despite daunting obstacles.

Biden used conciliatory language as he wrapped up a three-day visit to the area in an apparent attempt to get past the uproar sparked by an Israeli plan for new settlement construction in disputed east Jerusalem.

The Israeli announcement - seen as a slap in the face to Biden - drew a sharp condemnation from the vice-president as Marc Jacobs Handbags well as a Palestinian threat to withdraw from US-mediated peace talks before they even begin.

The 22-nation Arab League, which gave Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas the backing to resume talks with Israel, has recommended withdrawing support for indirect talks in the wake of the Israeli settlement plan.

Biden's speech appeared aimed at not letting the row Maurice Lacroix Fake with Israel derail the Obama administration's latest drive for peace. However, the vice-president's effusive praise for the Jewish state - saying the US has "no better friend" LED Street Light LU06-168W than Israel - could disappoint those who had hoped he would talk tougher in the wake of the new settlement plan.

Speaking at Tel Aviv University, Biden said the sides must get down to the business of making peace.

"To end this historic conflict, both sides must be historically bold," Biden said. "If each waits stubbornly ... this will go on for an eternity." - AP

Other articles:
http://lkhgtyio.livejournal.com/7816.html
http://ameblo.jp/dogwaw1/entry-10595979493.html

Allegheny General Hospital will conduct a free workshop from 8 a.m. to noon June 14 to help food banks and providers learn about celiac disease.
                                                  led mini down lights
When people with celiac disease eat foods that contain gluten, it creates an immune-mediated toxic reaction makeup brush that causes damage to the small intestine and does not allow food to be properly absorbed.
Maine's weight problem

Portland Press Herald

Maine employers are already coping with rising costs related to overweight and obese workers.
                        Nike Air Max Shoes
But they are in for a lot more if youth obesity rates stay as high as they are now, according to new research by the University of New England.

The study of 17 Maine employers with a combined workforce of 17,000 determined that the percentage of overweight and obese workers would increase from 62 percent now to 80 percent in nine years if current trends continue, according to William Perry, a data specialist at UNE's Center for Health Policy Planning and Research. And a rise in health problems such as diabetes and heart disease will be close behind, he said.

The companies' total annual costs -- due to lost work time and health care -- will climb from $6.1 million to $10.6 million. "The combined cost of overweight and obesity at these 17 companies," Perry said, "is estimated to be $75 million" over the next 9 years.

Perry's estimates are based on employer records and a national study of weight trends and employer costs. He presented the estimates last week at a childhood obesity conference in Auburn, adding to a growing body of evidence that is worrying health care experts, teachers and business leaders.

"This should scare the pants off employers," said Robert Ross, scientific director of the Maine-Harvard Prevention Research Center. "We have to go back into schools and do something about the next generation of workers."

Childhood obesity rates have tripled in the last three decades, and overweight kids tend to become obese adults, according to Ross and other experts.

About one-third of Maine kids and two-thirds of Maine adults are overweight or obese, said Victoria Rogers, a pediatrician at Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at Maine Medical Center. Roberts calls it the biggest threat to children's health, more common than asthma, lead poisoning, autism, eating disorders or ADHD. "None of it rises to the level of this."

There is some evidence that the 30-year increase in childhood obesity is slowing or leveling off, according to Rogers. But that still leaves one of three children at risk for a variety of health problems, as well as reduced success in school or at work, she said. The Auburn conference took place as childhood obesity is getting unprecedented attention, nationally and in Maine. "When you have an epidemic, you mobilize people," said Rogers.

Maine recently received a two-year $4.2 million federal grant to fight childhood obesity. A total of $1.8 million of that grant was given to the city of Portland, which has hired new staff to improve nutrition and promote physical activity, in part by expanding bike and walking paths around the city.

Some of the money has already been used to support three new weekly farmer's markets in Portland, all supplied by refugees, as a way to expand access to fresh vegetables and improve the diets of residents. The grant money also paid for machines that allow customers to Replica IWC Swiss Portuguese Watches use food-stamp allowances at the markets.

Christine Lokoware of Portland, who learned to farm in her native Sudan, stood behind a table of beets, radishes and collard greens at a new Brackett Street market last Thursday. She said she tries to keep her children eating fresh produce despite all of the soda and processed foods available in stores here.

"If you don't buy s
Other articles:
http://blog.ifeng.com/article/6083837.html
http://home.q.yesky.com/space-9211942-do-blog-id-554020.html

In August 1945, he was taken captive by the Soviet Red Army and sent to Siberia in October. In 1950, Sakakura was transferred to Fushun War Criminal Management Center and imprisoned there.

As a child, Sakakura began to receive militaristic education. " Born into a poor family, I yearned to become a soldier and serve my country," he said.

"I thought my involvement in the aggressive war was to open up a bright future for myself and was in the national interests, so we followed the policy of 'burn all, kill all, loot all,' and committed flagrant crimes," said Sakakura, adding that he killed three people altogether, Swiss Replica Submariner Rolex Watches and committed arson, grilled the captives and pillaged villages during the war.

Voicing his apologies for the heinous crimes he committed against the Chinese people, he said he felt thankful to the Chinese people, who were most lenient with the war criminals like him.

The old man said that he began to reflect on the aggressive war and the crimes he committed during the six-year imprisonment at the Fushun War Criminal Management Center, where he also read books such as On Imperialism.

"I was given a new life there," he said.

Sakakura said he has taken various opportunities to relate his experiences as well as his crimes in the war since he came back to Japan, in the hope that this period of history will never be forgotten.

"In the remaining years of my life, I will also write them down, leaving the historical truth to future generations," he said.
                          Pandora Bracelet Charm
In 2007, his book on Japan's war-time policy of "burn all, kill all, loot all" was published.

Other articles:
http://blog.eastday.com//sdbjlpoi/art/1097622.html
http://blog.csdn.net/dogwaw1/archive/2010/06/23/5689325.aspx

Interview with CEO of Russia`s

CHARLIE ROSE, HOST: Welcome to our program. With President Medvedev of Russia coming to the United States to visit Silicon Valley and President Obama in Washington, we have a conversation this evening about Russia with Andrej Kostin. He`s the CEO of Russia`s second largest bank, VTB.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ANDREJ KOSTIN, PRESIDENT AND CHAIRMAN, VTB BANK: The Russian government is not trying to concentrate more power in the economy. The Russian government accepts that they will not be in a position to manage this. So the focus is definitely on private enterprises and private investment, and there`s no party control on the Nike Air Max Shoes economy in Russia.

So I think the role of the government is still quite large taking into account the historical development in Russia. But Russian government would like to have economy when the government will play a less and less important role and see it as one of the important issues for fighting corruption, for example.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CHARLIE ROSE: And from the world of film, one of my favorite actresses in the world, Scotland`s own Tilda Swinton, talking about her new movie "I am Love."

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

TILDA SWINTON, ACTRESS: I never set out to do most of the things that I have done and I`m doing. I certainly never set out to be an actor, and I still find it embarrassing when I hear myself referred to as an actor. I expect people -- real actors to stand up and protest.

(LAUGHTER)

CHARLIE ROSE: And say she`s not one of us.

TILDA SWINTON: She`s a fraud.

CHARLIE ROSE: Do you feel that, actually? In any way do you feel like you`re a fraud that someday somebody`s going to catch up?

TILDA SWINTON: That`s why I`m trying to be so hard to be straight up honest about it and say "It was never my idea I should be described as an actor."

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CHARLIE ROSE: Kostin and Swinton, next. Replica Porsche Design Watches Asia

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

CHARLIE ROSE: Andrej Kostin is here. He is the chairman and CEO of VTB, Russia`s second largest bank. The Russian state owns 85.5 percent of the company. In recent years VTB has moved into retail and investment banking, shifting away from its traditional focus on corporate lending. It is also expanding overseas.

VTB`s moves come at a time when President Dmitry Medvedev has talked about modernizing the Russian economy and reducing its dependence on natural commodities. Economics will also be high on President Medvedev`s agenda when he visits Washington and the Silicon Valley later this week.

I am pleased to have Andrej Kostin at this table for the first time. Welcome.

ANDREJ KOSTIN: Thank you.

CHARLIE ROSE: You were just in St. Petersburg for the meeting there. What came out of that meeting?

ANDREJ KOSTIN: Well, it`s the largest economic forum in Russia, and important that Russian president Mr. Medvedev participated for a full two days, meeting businessman, bankers from all around the world, meeting leaders of different, other states, including Mr. Sarkozy.

So normally during the forum there`s some contract signed, and this year it was contract signed for about five billion euro, but also discussions between different businessmen from all around the world about
Other articles:
http://lkhgtyio.livejournal.com/5675.html
http://blog.sina.com.cn/s/blog_68f6956c0100jv9s.html
