The duct will turn to flat when the fabric ductwork squeezing, but the sectional area will be the same, so the squeezing the ducts will not have too much impact to the airflow if the squeeze height less than 50%.</p><br><p>If the squeeze height larger than 50%, the internal airflow will be influenced, with a high airflow velocity, the fabric duct may shaking, so we recommend to set a upturning or down turning unit to avoid the squeeze.<br></p>

<title>DurkeeSox system can be work with greener unit</title>

<![CDATA[ <br><p>The principle of the greener unit or the evaporative air cooler is using the exchange of cold water and air to achieve the cool down purpose. Because these kind of A/C equipment are without the refrigerating part, so the energy cost is much lower than normal Air conditioner. But the airflow transporting and air dispersion systems are the same as the normal air conditioner, so the DurkeeSox fabric duct system can be using to replace the traditional duct and outlets. </p><br><p>But in particular, these kinds of air conditioner use the axial flow fan normally as the power source, within the same air volume, the ESP will be much smaller than the normal air conditioner, so the ESP needs to be particular check if the ESP achieves the requirement of the DurkeeSox fabric duct system while designing. The DurkeeSox air dispersion system will work perfectly with the greener unit or the evaporative air cooler system if the design is reasonable.  </p>

<title>Difference in calculating pressure between Durke</title>

<![CDATA[ <br><p>The pressure calculation of Durkeesox fabric duct system is basically as same as traditional air duct, including all calculation formula. The friction coefficient of Durkeesox system is almost the same as traditional spiral duct, only when we calculate the pressure of Durkeesox system can we ignore friction loss along the duct, what we need to do is the calculation of local resistance. For the Durkeesox system, friction loss along the duct will decrease as the air velocity inside the duct is reducing, the total friction loss along the duct is almost equivalent to static pressure regain, the difference is small </p><p>even it does exist, besides, the static pressure regain is often more than friction loss along the duct. Sometimes, we even use PAD (pressure adjust device) to balance off some dynamic pressure. In complex system, it is requested to calculate pressure loss when elbow and T-connections are available.</p>

<title>What is the friction coefficient of the DurkeeSo</title>

<![CDATA[ <p><br> <br>The friction coefficient of the DurkeeSox fabric air ducting is less than 0.024, similar to the GI duct system. In fact, the actual resistance of DurkessSox fabric duct is much smaller than the traditional duct system, because the shape of most DurkessSox fabric duct system is round, the average air-flow velocity especially the mid-end part are smaller than the tradition duct system.</p><br><p> For a simple straight fabric duct system, the resistance inside the fabric duct is much smaller than the static pressure regain, so the resistance can be ignore. For a complicate fabric ductworks, the resistance is only 1/3 or 1/5 compare to the tradition metal ductworks. The airflow pressure are totally enough for the DurkeeSox fabric duct system while designing. Also, the fabric   permeability and the orifices of the DurkeeSox fabric duct system can be modified according to the airflow pressure, in order to secure the volume of the airflow supplied and no extra requirement of the AC equipment. <br></p>
