The officer handed him the citation, received his signature and was about to walk away when the man asked, "Officer, I know I was speeding, but I don't think it's fair - there were plenty of other cars around me who were going just as fast, so why did *I* get the ticket?"

"Ever go fishing?" the policeman suddenly asked the man.

It was about 7:00pm. Roti, a Nigerian guy, appeared with just T-shirt. We sometimes meet at this time on Sunday. As we joined Atlanta office on the same day, we talk a lot, comparatively…

He is also a nice and kind guy, so is Jerry. Every time we meet, he gave me a lot of favor. Once, he took me to the nice Jamaican restaurant near our office. I love his kindness…

He said he will go to Indiana next week. Take care of Indiana trip, Roti!!

We met at the Westin Hotel in the downtown at 4:00pm. Then we went quickly tour for Atlanta sightseeing places. Coca-Cola Museum (already closed), Atlanta Under Ground, CNN (already closed), and Turner Field.

The dinner was at Mary Mac’s Tea Room in the midtown. We enjoyed Traditional Southern Food such as Catfish, Meatloaf, Fried Tomato, Fried Okra, Cornbread, and others, as per his request. Southern Food is reasonable price and quite good. I believe we, Japanese, will be satisfied with catfish.

We also drove to Buckhead for more drink. As I had been curious about Jazz Café at piedmond street, we tried. It was the first time, and totally excellent bar. We really enjoyed a glass, mood, and live music. This type of bar should be for a couple, not for just two of men. However, I really enjoyed his visit. .

I hope he enjoy his assignment in the US in spite of the very busy season of January.

Time passed so slooooooowww… struggling with sleepiness by taking coffee and water over and over. I missed my school days, when I could sleep at the class with no concern…

As this all hands meeting was mandatory, it was a good opportunity for me to know Atlanta office people. It was a time to use this technique, I learned at the new expat training in Tokyo.

“MINGLE”

I tried to talk to people for about 10minnutes, then mingled. However, I just greeted to each other, failed to know themselves. It must be the point whether I can remind of them when we meet at the next time.

By the way, where was Jerry? I could not see him. He may have not attended the meeting. Mmmmm. He is so “going-my-way” guy…

It made me heavily impressed! Jerry, you are the best guy!!! I do paste a linkage between “Letters From Moomin” (for Japanese) and “EMoomin” (for English Speakers), even though I feel ashamed because of my poor English and broken sentences.

Moreover, Jerry’s wife is my superior in the same office. I had an opportunity to work with her. From then she have done a lot of favors for me. I cannot help but thanking her a lot. However, they and I are belonged to the different service lines. There seems not to be a lot of opportunities to work together, again.

Jerry said:“Lastly, if any of you is interested in farming, do let me know - we are redistributing land back in Zimbabwe!!”

This sentence has a strong will, similar to Japanese Shi-shi in the end of Edo-era, who brought the revolution. And that is the words what I cannot create.

What a wonderful friends they are !!

While I was working at the office, Jerry appreared with the short-sleeve polo shirt, and getting sweat.

"Jerry, it is not so much hot as you feel..."

According to "Economist" published in last November, Zimbabwe is the worst country to live. Under the Mugabe autocracy, severe problems have been occurred, such as the public peace getting worse, the oppression of white raced farm owners (there are about 100K of white race, which is equal to approximately 1% of total population of Zimbabwe), and the food shortage. By the way, the best country to live is Ireland. Japan is 17th. USA is 13th. North Korea is out of investigation. As the public langage is English, Jerry is not special one because of his ability of English.

That's it, about Zimbabwe.

Since I transferred from Japan, Jerry was the first staff who worked with me. Though he is musclar, he seems to be obedient nature, and to obey his wife everyday...

But Jerry, to be honest, I did not want you to go out for buying frech milk even though your wife asked. In addition, I did not also want you to come back without freshmilk. You should do that once you tried.
