ERP for SMEs

Been noticing a pattern with a few SME owners I've talked to lately: they already use "a system" (spreadsheets, basic accounting software, sometimes a full ERP) but their team still burns hours on repetitive stuff — reconciling invoices, restocking based on gut feeling instead of actual demand data, replying to the same customer questions over and over on WhatsApp.
The issue isn't that they lack software. It's that most systems just record data — a human still has to do the actual thinking and follow-up.
Curious if others here have run into the same thing. Anyone tried an ERP where AI actually handles the repetitive parts instead of just logging them? I've been looking at a few (ERP ID is one, built with Indonesian SMEs in mind) but would love to hear real experiences before committing.
