Niagara Falls: Niagara Falls are heavy falls on the Niagara River, located between the city of Niagara in New York State and the city of Niagara in the Canadian province of Ontario. The highest elevation of the falls on the US side is 56 meters and the Canadian side 54 meters. It consists of three waterfalls: the Horseshoe Falls (Horseshoe) on the Canadian side and the American Falls, which are separated by the Goat Island. There is a small waterfall on the American side called the Pridal Valley waterfall (bride scarves) next to Luna Island. On average, 6 million cubic feet of water flow per minute, making it one of North America's strongest waterfalls. Waterfalls are used to generate electricity as well as attract many tourists, making it an important economic landmark in the region. The waterfalls were discovered by one of the red Indians, who erected a statue next to the waterfalls on the side of the American side. | #geology #ocean. @geologynat
