Went to see "0% Down, 100% Screwed" at Second City last night. Most (not all) of the skits revolve around the economic downturn mainly in Canada and the US. Unfortunately, didn't quite get all the comments/jokes because I don't follow the political world that closely but if you have a reasonably general knowledge of it, you will enjoy it nonetheless.

For those who want some free live comedy, around 9pm, they have free improv show so we also stuck around for that one. Still funny but not as good as the 'real' show.

After the show, felt like getting a late night snack so we ended up going to Dutch Dreams for ice cream.I ordered a Maple Walnut ice cream on a cone and it was R E A L L Y good!!

Humour and sweets make an excellent combo...

Been up to not much of late... Except that I'm officially a year older... the first amongst my close friends. Yay?

But, as always, my close friends know exactly how to kill the Old-Maid-Doom-Gloom. We went to the Drake Hotel for dinner and got myself a Porn Star Martini. Luv the interiors and food.

But y'know what? At the end of the day, no matter where they take me or what they treat me, being surrounded by friends was what I really wanted. I can't ask for more from any of them. (o^-')b

Also went splurging on the day before with my other set of friends, followed by dinner at Sushi Inn in Yorkville. Just luv my new Rocks!

And lastly, that Buxom Lip gloss stick from Bare Escentuals is amazing! Thanks Ruffie! Haha..

So to keep her warm this winter, I decided to get her this chocolate coloured Faux Fur Throw (127 cm x 152 cm) from Pottery Barn. Apparently, this colour is HOT! I saw it just last week and on Tuesday, it was all gone!! The only location that had any left was Yorkdale. I drove there today and found only ONE left! Its on sale for $144... um.. forgot what the original price was but I'm sure its a better than paying the premium... hehehe...

Now she can have this with her on the couch or the bed.

Harry Rosen was having a sale of up to 40% off today so I decided to check it out. My lil' bro wanted something preppy so this is what I got him for x'mas:

A Fred Perry argyle sweater in gray wool for $99 (already discounted price). I did a price check online and average price is around U$120 so I got a good deal!!!

And so two knocked off my list... .

I just thought it was so funny that I ended up giving them their x'mas present early. (Thank goodness she has a sense of humour, I was kinda nervous when my bro said he wasn't sure abt it...)

These giant microbes are really cool... You can find many different types of microbes like bookworms, rabies, bed bugs and Ebola to name a few!! Plus, these plush microbes come with a tag that details some quick facts about them. Its fun and educational.
