The William Morris Gallery, located in the artist's family home in Walthamstow in northeast London, opened in 1950 but faced closure in 2007 before securing funding for a major redevelopment. It reopened last year.

The gallery displays the life and work of Morris, a radical Victorian textile designer, craftsman, writer, and political activist who died in 1896 aged 62.

The gallery was one of 10 museums and galleries on the shortlist for the annual prize awarded by the Art Fund, the national fundraising charity for art.

"Its extraordinary collections, beautifully presented, draw the visitor engagingly through Morris's life and work and through the building itself," said a statement from the panel of six judges deciding the 100,000 pound ($150,000) prize.

Last year's winner was Exeter's 144-year-old Royal Albert Memorial Museum which underwent a 24 million pound refurbishment to better display its collection of more than a million objects ranging from medieval coins to modern art.

"We do not vacuum up the contents of communications under the president's program and then use some sort of magic after the intercept to determine which of those we want to listen to, deal with or report on," then-CIA Director Michael Hayden told a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing in July 2006.

But on Friday, President Barack Obama himself acknowledged the existence of such programs even as he gave the government's standard rationale to ease fears that Americans' privacy rights are being violated.

"By sifting through this so-called metadata, they might identify potential leads of people who might engage in terrorism," Obama said during an exchange with reporters at a health care event in San Jose, Calif.

Obama's comments marked the first time a U.S. president publicly acknowledged the government's electronic sleuthing on its citizens. They came in response to media reports and published classified documents that detailed the government's secret mass collection of phone and Internet communications.

When top officials in the Obama and Bush administrations have been asked in recent years whether U.S. citizens' communications were swept up as part of government surveillance, they've often responded with swift, flat denials. The denials were often carefully constructed to avoid any hints of the activities they were denying.

Even Obama's predecessor, George W. Bush, sidestepped what he described as a kerfuffle about his administration's secret electronic intelligence-gathering.

During a March 2006 appearance at the City Club of Cleveland, Bush described the NSA effort only as "a program that will enable us to listen from a known al-Qaida person and/or affiliate from making a phone call outside the United States in or inside the United States out, with the idea of being able to pick up quickly information for which to be able to respond in the environment we're in." He added: "I believe what I'm doing is constitutional, and I know it's necessary. And so we're going to keep doing it."

His vice president, Dick Cheney, was more blunt during a radio appearance, denying the government was engaging in domestic surveillance.

"This is not a domestic surveillance program," Cheney told radio host Hugh Hewitt, adding that "what we're interested in are intercepting communications, one end of which are outside the United States and one end of which we have reason to believe is al-Qaida-related."

Technically, Cheney's description of the program was accurate. His insistence that the Bush administration was not engaged in domestic surveillance is more debatable.

Reports that first appeared in Britain's Guardian newspaper and The Washington Post indicate that the NSA pulls in phone records, though not the actual content of the calls, from its secret warrants allowing it to collect data from major telecom companies. The program is aimed at detecting the calling patterns of terrorist suspects. A separate government program also collects massive amounts of data from at least nine Internet and electronic firms, pulling in everything from emails to photographs. Obama said Friday that the electronic data-mining is not aimed at American citizens or inside the U.S.

Several top Bush administration officials adamantly insisted that the government was not engaged in mass data-trawling as part of its secret NSA programs.

After a New York Times expose raised concerns about NSA targeting Americans' phone records, Hayden told a National Press Club audience in January 2006 that there was no effort to cast a wide net over communications data.

"This is targeted and focused," said Hayden, the principal deputy director of national intelligence at the time. "This is not about intercepting conversations between people in the United States. This is hot pursuit of communications entering or leaving America involving someone we believe is associated with al-Qaida."

Bush's attorney general, Alberto Gonzales, also minimized the reach of the NSA data-gathering, telling a Senate Judiciary hearing in February 2006 that "this surveillance is narrowly focused and fully consistent with the traditional forms of enemy surveillance found to be necessary in all previous armed conflicts."

Bush administration officials were repeatedly pressed by Congress about the NSA efforts in 2005 and 2006, as the Senate and House debated whether to extend the Patriot Act and many of its provisions that gave the government broad power to conduct surveillance and data collection. But once the Patriot Act's main provisions were reauthorized and signed into law by Bush in March 2006, public congressional concerns over the NSA's authority seemed to dissipate.

A review of congressional transcripts shows that from 2006 well into Obama's first term, top administration officials were rarely questioned publicly about the NSA's data-gathering activities. Instead, the agency's new director, Keith B. Alexander, was most often pressed about the NSA's growing efforts in cyberwarfare and security.

It was not until May 2011, as the Patriot Act again faced another reauthorization, that the NSA's secret programs began to receive cryptic attention from two Democratic senators, Ron Wyden of Oregon and Mark Udall of Colorado. Hobbled by the classified nature of the secret programs, the two senators offered up only guarded warnings.

"When the American people find out how their government has secretly interpreted the Patriot Act, they will be stunned and they will be angry," Wyden said during a floor speech in May 2011. He added: "Many members of Congress have no idea how the law is being secretly interpreted by the executive branch, because that interpretation is classified."

Still hamstrung by the programs' security classification in 2013, Wyden pressed National Intelligence Director James Clapper at a Senate Intelligence Committee hearing in March about the NSA. "Does the NSA collect any type of data at all on millions or hundreds of millions of Americans?" he asked.

"No, sir," Clapper replied. He added: "Not wittingly. There are cases where they could inadvertently perhaps collect but not wittingly."

This week, after the new revelations about the NSA's massive data haul, Clapper acknowledged the existence of both of the agency's secret operations and denounced the media disclosures as "reprehensible."

When contacted by the National Journal about his earlier exchange with Wyden, Clapper stood by his earlier comments denying that the NSA is collecting massive troves of data.

"What I said was, the NSA does not voyeuristically pore through U.S. citizens' emails," Clapper said. "I stand by that."

LONDON (Reuters) - Angelina Jolie made her first public appearance since announcing her double mastectomy on Sunday, joining fiance Brad Pitt on the red carpet in London where she welcomed the debate on women's health that the surgery had sparked.

The Oscar-winning actress has stayed out of the spotlight since announcing her operation in a New York Times column last month, saying the decision was made after finding she carried a gene giving her an 87 percent chance of getting breast cancer.

The 37-year-old mother of six, praised for her courage in publicly announcing her surgery, is now reported to be planning another operation to remove her ovaries as the BRCA1 gene also gives her a 50 percent chance of ovarian cancer.

On the red carpet for the world premiere of Pitt's latest movie, zombie blockbuster "World War Z", Jolie praised her partner as being "a wonderful man and a wonderful father.

"I'm very, very grateful for all the support ... and I have been very happy just to see the discussion of women's health expanded and that means the world to me," she told reporters.

"After losing my mom to these issues, I am very grateful for it," added the American actress, wearing a long black, backless Yves Saint Laurent dress.

Jolie's mother, actress Marcheline Bertrand, died from ovarian cancer in 2007 at the age of 56 and her aunt, 61-year-old Debbie Martin, died last week as a result of breast cancer.

Jolie missed her aunt's funeral to accompany Pitt to London for the premiere of "World War Z", an adaptation of Max Brooks' 2006 apocalyptic novel.

Pitt's production company Plan B Entertainment bought the screen rights to the novel about six years ago and it is one of the big box office releases this summer, but it is under pressure to perform before even opening.

It was due to be released late last year but suffered setbacks amid reports that the budget had ballooned above $200 million and Pitt clashed with director Marc Forster.

In "World War Z", Pitt plays United Nations representative Gerry Lane who is enlisted to help stop a zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to destroy mankind.

Pitt said he was proud of the film and also of Jolie for her decision to have a mastectomy for the sake of their family and to share that experience.

"When she's faced with a problem - and we have known this was coming for some time - she takes it by the horns," Pitt, 49, also dressed in black, told reporters. "I'm super proud of her. She's a bad ass."

Asked how important it was to have her on the red carpet with him, Pitt said: "It's just more fun to do these things with each other. More fun when she's around and same for her."

"World War Z" marks Pitt's first foray as the star and producer of his own potential franchise.

Pitt said his own children's reaction to the book sparked the project which ultimately was about survival and family.

"The boys love a zombie," he said.

Clinton received a standing ovation the Lincoln Center ceremony before she presented the CFDA's highest honor, its Founder's Award, to Oscar de la Renta, whom she called "a dear friend." She recounted first meeting him as first lady in 1993 during a White House receiving line for a Kennedy Center event.

De la Renta came up to her and said, "that's one of my dresses," Clinton recalled. She added, "He looked me up and down." That had the audience giggling.

The designer joined her on stage and said, "She might not like me to say this, but I think she's going to be our next president."

That launched into enthusiastic applause.

There was a running joke between Clinton and the show's host, Andy Cohen, about the former secretary of state pitching a pilot to Bravo called "Project Pantsuit."

Cohen also riffed on the popular online parodies called "Texts from Hillary." One showed Vera Wang asking Clinton, "How do I change up my look?" Her response: "Same thing I told 'Chelle: bangs," referring to Michelle Obama's hairdo that caused much buzz earlier this year during President Barack Obama's inauguration.

A bit of a more serious political undertone came during CFDA president Diane von Furstenberg's speech as she pledged to pursue more manufacturing in the U.S.

The other honoree to get the country's top designers and their celebrity and model friends on their feet was Wang, who received the CFDA lifetime achievement award from her former boss Ralph Lauren.

"To all the women and men I have dressed, thank you for your trust," she said.

The annual award show draws a mix of Seventh Avenue and Hollywood: Jessica Chastain presented the international award to Riccardo Tisci of Givenchy; a Thakoon-clad Rose Byrne handed Lim his trophy; "Downton Abbey's" Dan Steven's called out Browne's name; and Kerry Washington gave the prize to Proenza's Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez. "The fighters are the ones who fight, not the fathers," Mayweather said calmly.

If it's an act, it's a pretty good one. Armed with a new six-fight television deal with Showtime that should keep him the world's highest paid athlete, Mayweather has for the most part taken the high road while promoting his fight against Robert Guerrero as must-see TV for anyone who has an extra $69.95 for the pay-per-view.

Mayweather weighed in at 146 pounds on Friday. Guerrero checked in at the weight-class limit of 147.

The two meet in a scheduled 12-round welterweight title match at the MGM Grand hotel in what will be Mayweather's first fight in a year. It's also his first ring appearance since serving a jail term for assaulting the mother of his children, an experience he said helped him grow up.

Sometimes, though, he just can't help himself. The old Mayweather surfaces, complete with the bad-boy persona that has made him the biggest draw in boxing.

It could be that Mayweather as the promoter is trying to give a fight that still hasn't sold out some much needed buzz. More likely, though, is that he's looking for a bit of a mental edge for a bout that, despite the odds, could be very competitive.

He called Guerrero a hypocrite for promoting himself as a devout Christian, and then getting arrested on gun charges in New York. He mocked him for bringing up his jail sentence when he may be facing one himself.

And a few days before the fight he even accused Guerrero of trying to win fans by using his wife's leukemia which she overcame with a bone marrow transplant as a way to get sympathy.

"I'm glad she was able to beat leukemia, which is a great thing," Mayweather said. "But they keep selling the same story. It's time to talk about something different."

Guerrero has had his share of things to say about Mayweather, too, though it was his father who made the loudest statement when he repeatedly called Mayweather a woman beater at the final prefight press conference. The game plan in the Guerrero camp is the same as it will be in the ring not to back off when challenged.

"That's part of his game, getting under your skin and getting you off your game," Robert Guerrero said. "It's not working. He's in for a fight and he knows it."

None of the talk matters, of course, once the two men finally meet. The title belt at stake doesn't matter all that much, either, in an era of inflated and cheap titles.

Mayweather has a franchise to protect, one that has made him untold millions of dollars since he beat Oscar De La Hoya in 2007 to catapult into the top seller ranks. He'll earn $32 million to take on Guerrero and try to remain perfect in 44 professional fights.

He hand picks his opponents these days, but had to do some studying before giving Guerrero the biggest fight of his life.

"I didn't know who he was a year ago," Mayweather said of Guerrero, who waged a very public campaign to get the fight. "I probably heard his name in passing but didn't know who the guy was. But he's earned his shot, and now he'll get it."

No one questions Mayweather's ability after crafting both a career and an empire with his fists. But he got hit with more punches than usual in his last fight, against Miguel Cotto a bout he won even while admittedly not at his best. He's also an aging fighter at 36, hasn't fought in a year and spent two months since then doing pushups in solitary confinement in a small cell in downtown Las Vegas.

"I don't want to make the same mistakes I made in the Cotto fight," Mayweather said. "I think I trained too hard for that fight. I'm a better fighter than I was in the Cotto fight."

Mayweather claims he's going to fight more regularly including a bout in September but he hasn't fought twice in a calendar year since 2007 and must deal with the real possibility of ring rust against Guerrero.

"'I feel unbeatable," Mayweather said. "I'm in the sport to go down as the best and I'm not going into a fight thinking I'm beatable. Anything is possible in life, but I feel I can adjust. I feel I can adapt."

Adjusting and adapting may be the key in the fight, which pits Mayweather against a rugged challenger who fights as a southpaw. Guerrero seems intent on putting pressure on Mayweather and making him fight every minute of every round something that other opponents have for the most part failed to do.

Oddsmakers have Mayweather a 6-1 favorite against a fighter who moved up to welterweight just two fights ago and got the fight mainly on his impressive win in his last outing against Andre Berto. Guerrero who won two world titles at 126 pounds and another at 130 will get $3 million for the fight, but understands the rewards for being the first one to beat Mayweather would be a lot more.

"A lot of people underestimate how strong I am in the ring. People underestimate my strength and it really is a big downfall for them," Guerrero said. "You have a strong body, you have fast hands, you have heavy hands and you have the skill and talent to put things together and be able to change up things in the ring. It really is a game changer for a fighter."

Both fighters will have their fathers in the corner, with Mayweather bringing back his after a long absence. Floyd Mayweather Sr. is replacing Roger Mayweather, who has been in his nephew's corner for 13 years. Mayweather said his uncle's diabetes makes it hard for him to see now, and he needs someone in the corner who can help him make adjustments.

Ruben Guerrero trains his son, and injected some spark into the prefight buildup with his tirade at the press conference. Ruben Guerrero and Floyd Mayweather Sr. then began jawing at each other before being separated.

On Saturday night, they'll be confined to their corners. Their sons will be the ones doing the fighting.

MADRID (Reuters) - Spain's national police force is using social network Twitter to track down criminals through jokey messages to citizens that has led to 300 arrests on drug charges in the past year and become a model for other forces worldwide.

The account, @policia, is on track to reach 500,000 followers this weekend and is the second biggest of any law enforcement agency after the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

Officers in Madrid handle 1,200 messages on the account in an average day and answer queries for 17 hours a day, giving it greater reach than any public or private Spanish institution.

Carlos Fernandez Guerra, a former journalist and the only member of the team who is not a police officer, writes all the account's tweets which can be retweeted up to 10,000 times and shrugs off criticism that the tone is too jokey.

"We use language that is attention-grabbing, related to things that are being tweeted at the moment," Fernandez, 39, explained in his office on the third floor of a police station in central Madrid.

Fernandez is behind messages such as: "Ah, a few beers on a terrace laughing with your girlfriends, watching the hot boys go past ;) Don't take your eye off your handbag and your phone."

He readily admits that not everyone in the police likes using humorous tweets to warn citizens about email and phone scams and to discourage teenagers from "sexting", or sending nude photos to friends, that can be uploaded online and are officially classed as child pornography.

"Turn on the passion ... SWITCH OFF the camera. NO TO SEXTING!", one tweet advised.

"Some people like it, some people don't. There are some that want us to be more formal," Fernandez said. "We are focused on the average citizen and what they will like."

He set up the account in 2009, using it to post press releases, before deciding to expand the reach beyond media professionals. Now police forces in Latin America are using @policia as a model to reach citizens, Fernandez said.

While the police do not want people using Twitter to report emergencies, they do offer contact details to spot criminal activity, focused especially on drug and sex offences.

Fernandez said in the past year over 300 people have been arrested on drugs charges thanks to tip-offs, one criminal handed himself in after the police posted a message about him, and the force tracked down a British fugitive after 5,000 people retweeted that the police were looking for him.

Parodying the police account would be impossible, Fernandez said, especially when they themselves upload content like a video of police driving around Madrid to Bob Marley singing: "Bad boy, bad boy, whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do when they come for you?"

"People couldn't believe it. It's quite a common question, 'Is this a fake account?'"

President Thein Sein will inaugurate the meeting Thursday and is scheduled to share the stage with the prime ministers of Laos and Vietnam to discuss opportunities for development in Asia. Organizers boast that it is the first international conference of its size and importance to be held here, saying more than 900 participants from 50 countries are attending.

While the conference has the inclusive theme of "Courageous Transformation for Inclusion and Integration," the focus of most participants will be on host Myanmar, emerging from almost five decades of military rule into the challenges of transitional democracy and the potentially lucrative status of a frontier economy.

"It shows that the outside world recognizes Myanmar as a country that has potential. It's also an indicator that there will be more investments in the country," said Nay Zin Latt, an adviser to Thein Sein. "The country earns lots of attention and interest in investing. Then, we will have more job opportunities and our economy can be improved."

Outsiders make much the same point.

"For much of the 20th century, Myanmar largely missed out on the spectacular growth seen across most of the global economy and most recently in its Asian peers," Richard Dobbs, a director of the consulting group McKinsey & Company, said last month. "It now has the potential to be one of the fastest-growing economies in emerging Asia."

McKinsey predicted in a report last month that "Myanmar could potentially quadruple the size of its economy from $45 billion in 2010 to more than $200 billion in 2030, creating 10 million non-agricultural jobs and potentially lifting 18 million out of poverty in the process."

There's quite a long way to go, pointed out Sushant Palakurthi Rao, head of Asia for the World Economic Forum, with much improvement needed in sectors such as education, health care and job training.

"The main goal is to show that the doors are open," he said. "But challenges remain. It's a country where still 26 percent of the population live in poverty, 37 percent are unemployed, and it's important to use those investments now to really have rapid change and impact for a wide range of people in the country."

Another note of caution was sounded by the British development charity Oxfam, which warned recently that "without targeted policy efforts and regulation to even the playing field, the benefits of new investment will filter down to only a few, leaving small-scale farmers the backbone of the Myanmar economy unable to benefit from this growth."

It urged Myanmar's leaders to "address power inequalities in the markets, put small-scale farmers at the center of new agricultural investments, and close loopholes in law and practice that leave the poorest open to land-rights abuses."

Human rights concerns are another potentially destabilizing holdover from the old military regime. The government has so far failed to reach a comprehensive peace with its fractious ethnic minorities who have sought more autonomy for decades, and has been fighting a bloody war against the Kachin minority in the north for the past two years.

It has also seen the rise of vicious sectarian violence directed at the country's Muslim Rohingya minority in western Rakhine state, with hundreds of people killed and about 140,000 made homeless in civil strife last year. Deadly anti-Muslim violence spread to other parts of the country this year, damaging the government's credibility.

Salil Shetty, secretary general of the human rights group Amnesty International, who is attending the forum, said the government should make it a priority "to put an end to all forms of discrimination. People need to feel as equal citizens of this country whether they are from one ethnic group, one religion or the other."

"I know it sounds pretty fricking bizarre, but we pray a lot as a family," Hendricks told investigators in a room at the Pickens County Sheriff's Office, just hours after authorities discovered the bodies.

They all got on their knees and held hands, Hendricks said. Less than 12 hours later, she said, she found Matthew, 23, dead from a gunshot wound to the head. When paramedics who rushed to the home found the bodies of her other family members, Hendricks claimed Matthew had first killed them before turning the gun on himself.

In April, Hendricks pleaded guilty but mentally ill to all four of the Oct. 14, 2011, slayings and will spend the rest of her life in prison with no possibility of parole.

The audio of her three-hour interview with investigators, as well as 324 pages of documents and more than 600 crime scene photos, were released for the first time in response to a Freedom of Information Act request from The Associated Press.

The documents include details on Hendricks' suicide attempt behind bars nine months after her arrest, as well as the fact that her younger son, 20-year-old Marshall, had just moved back home two days before the shootings. They also revealed that Hendricks had papers from insurance policies and wills spread throughout her motel room at the time she was taken into custody.

Hendricks' acquaintances, whose statements are contained in the documents, said she kept large insurance policies on all the victims, fired gunshots at her sons' feet when she was angry, and would often remind people that she shot and killed a man who broke into her home in 2006. She claimed self-defense and was never charged in that killing.

The ballistics and other crime scene reports contained in the documents detail a quick, brutal ambush. Matthew and Hendricks' 64-year-old stepmother, Linda Burns, were killed in the Liberty home they shared with Hendricks, while Marshall and Hendricks' 52-year-old ex-husband and the father of her sons, Mark Hendricks, were killed in their own home next door.

Blood stains and three cartridge cases show Hendricks cornered Marshall in a hallway between his bedroom and a bathroom. He eventually got around her but she managed to fire one more shot that took him down. He died on the front porch, where he was covered with a sheet. Mark Hendricks was killed lying on the couch.

A report from the crime scene said Burns' body was covered up in her bed as if she were sleeping. Five cartridge cases were found in and around a closet in her room. Matthew Hendricks was found in his bed with one gunshot wound to his head. His body had also been covered up.

Hendricks' sister Evelyn Burns told police it was she who dialed 911 after Hendricks called her and casually remarked during what started as a routine chat that her son had shot himself.

In her interview at the sheriff's office, when she still was claiming Matthew committed suicide, Hendricks explained why she didn't call authorities immediately.

"I didn't want to call EMS," she said. "I didn't want to call anybody because I didn't want them to come take him. I know it sounds crazy. I just thought, well, if I can sit here with him, it will all be OK."

She didn't speak much about Marshall, Mark Hendricks or Linda Burns during the three hours of questioning, but instead repeatedly turned the conversation back to Matthew.

She told investigators she heard nothing during the night and had walked to the kitchen past a trail of blood in the living room to make coffee when she found a note from Matthew. She said when she read it, she became alarmed he had harmed himself.

In the note, which reads more like a kind Mother's Day letter, Matthew thanked his "mama" for making him the man he has become and said he couldn't ask for a better mother.

"I don't really know what else to say, but I know we have our differences, but I will always love you unconditionally," he wrote at the end.

Although handwriting experts confirmed the note was written by Matthew, authorities said they believe it had been written at a previous time, and that Susan Hendricks saved it, then retrieved it at the time of the killings.

In the audiotaped interview, Hendricks doesn't cry much and her voice sounds flat, emotionless and tired much of the time. Most of the sobs come at the end of the questioning when she says she can't give a written statement and wants to go home.

"I'll have to help you another time, OK. I need to go. I need to see my family," Hendricks said. "I need to see somebody that I know. I haven't seen anybody I know. I don't know what's going on. I don't know where my kids' bodies are at. I need to get out of here, OK? Please?"

Detectives fanning out across Pickens County gathered dozens of statements detailing a fractious relationship between Hendricks, her sons and her ex-husband.

Mark Hendricks' sister, Rhonda "Suzy" Chappell, told deputies that Marshall lived with her for two months after his mother kicked him out, and that at his father's request, he had moved back two days before he was killed.

"This has been a very dysfunctional home for many years and she saw that the boys were working their way out and she was losing her grip," Chappell wrote in a statement to investigators.

Mark Hendricks' second ex-wife, Barbara Hendricks, told investigators Susan Hendricks followed the couple to Myrtle Beach and had told people she wanted to kill them.

An ex-boyfriend of Susan Hendricks, Rudy Parra, told deputies that Hendricks told him she had shot a man who came into her house uninvited in 2006. She then showed him three guns she kept in a safe in her closet.

In that same safe, detectives later found insurance policies for each victim, payable to Susan Hendricks and with a combined value of more than $680,000.

A Pickens County printing shop owner told detectives Hendricks came to his shop six days after the killings and asked him to notarize her changing the executor of her will from her sister to one of her brothers.

When she was arrested 10 days after the shooting, an officer noted numerous wills and financial documents on the floor.

Nine months after her arrest, Hendricks tried to commit suicide, according to a police report included in the cache of released documents. A female cellmate told authorities Hendricks squirreled away 40 pills she was given for her mental problems and tried to overdose. Hendricks left a note to her family telling them not to fight.

"I'll be okay with Mark and the boys," she wrote. "See ya another day."

During her plea hearing, a psychiatrist identified as David Price testified that she was abused by both of her parents, and that her parents also let others abuse her. Hendricks declined to speak at the hearing.

Price said Hendricks developed several personalities as a coping mechanism during the abuse. While the dominant one knew right from wrong, the one in charge the night of the killings didn't, he said.

Included in the crime scene photos are images of Hendricks' home, including her bedroom, which was clean and tidy and equipped with a disco ball that she said she used when she danced as part of a weight-loss program.

Other photos show the rest of the house in disarray.

And then there is image No. 84, a photo of a photo, tacked with a push pin next to a fly swatter, on a wall of what looks to be a kitchen.

It shows a smiling Hendricks in a dress standing next to her ex-husband in coat and tie, their two well-dressed sons flanking them on either side.

(Reuters) - GameStop Corp raised the lower end of its full-year earnings forecast on Thursday after beating fourth-quarter estimates, counting on a boost from new gaming consoles due later this year and further growth in digital and mobile sales.

The videogame industry, which has struggled with declining sales as gamers migrate to mobile and social media platforms, is hoping for a strong finish to 2013 with the release of new titles like Take-Two Interactive Software's "Grand Theft Auto V" and Electronic Arts Inc's "Battlefield 4."

New gaming consoles like Microsoft's Xbox One and Sony Corp's Playstation4 are expected to launch in coming months. Investors hope the advent of new gaming hardware will give the video game industry a shot in the arm.

GameStop raised the lower end of its full-year earnings forecast to $2.90 to $3.15 per share, from $2.75 to $3.15 per share previously.

"The expectations are that we're going to have a tough first half until we see titles like Grand Theft Auto and new consoles," Chief Financial Officer Robert Lloyd told Reuters.

Sony Corp said in February it would release its next-generation PlayStation this year, its first videogame console in seven years. And on Tuesday, Microsoft unveiled the Xbox One, its first new gaming console in eight years, making its strongest push so far to dominate consumers' living rooms with an array of exclusive media and video game content.

GameStop shares, which have risen about 46 percent in the last three months, were trading flat at $36.20 in the afternoon.

Analysts say there remained confusion over whether Microsoft planned to take a cut on revenue for used games played on the Xbox One, following news reports that suggested the software company may charge used-game users a fee.

"It appears that Microsoft will assign a unique ID to each game disk loaded onto the Xbox, which could require a second user to pay Microsoft a fee to access Xbox services," R. w. Baird analyst Colin Sebastian said in a note on Tuesday.

GameStop executives said they would wait for the software company to communicate that.

"The majority of how the stock is going to trade is going to be the market interpretation of how "Xbox One" is going to handle used-game sales," National Alliance Securities analyst Mike Hickey told Reuters.

Total U.S. sales of videogame hardware and software in April saw a 25 percent drop, following a downward trend that has continued month over month since last year, according to a report by market research firm NPD.

Quarterly profit of the world's largest video games retailer fell to 46 cents per share, but beat analysts' estimates of 40 cents per share.

The company, which said its year-to-date market share of PS3 and Xbox 360 software in the United States was 47.7 percent, reported first-quarter revenue of $1.87 billion. Mobile sales rose 290 percent to $46.8 million.

Analysts on average were expecting sales of $1.82 billion, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.

For the second quarter, GameStop expects earnings of 1 cent per share to 7 cents per share. Analysts are expecting a profit of 8 cents per share.

The demand relates to certain tax benefits on income from software development done overseas at the clients' location and revenue from special economic zones in India, Infosys said in a statement.

It said the latest tax demand disregards a clarification by the government in January.

Infosys is also contesting similar tax demands for the fiscal years 2005 through 2008, according to a recent filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

"Infosys is in the process of filing an appeal before the Commissioner of Income Tax," the company said.
