申し込みが開始しました。

テーマは、「OVERFLOW 満ちあふれる」です。

昨年から、2回目の開催です。

昨年は15の他の教会の先生やリーダーが参加しました。

地域教会が日本に福音宣教の使命を果たす為に立ち上がるように、またヒズコールの家族が力を受けるために、社会をキリストの影響を与えることができるように。

今年400人から500人のサインアップを祈っています。

His Call Destiny Conference is soon! 3 more months!
His Call Destiny Conference 2017 registration has begun. The theme is "OVERFLOW". This is the second conference, the first being held last year. Last year, pastors and leaders from 15 other churches participated. 

I am praying that local churches rise up to fulfill the mission of evangelization in Japan and for the His Call family to be empowered to spread the influence of Jesus throughout society.

This year we are praying that we can increase the number of sign-ups from 400 to 500. Pastors Mike Kai and Shane Baxter of the Inspire Network are our close friends and teachers. "OVERFLOW", it will be an overflowing June. It's  almost here!

12歳で、オーストラリアでデビュー。

昨年は、アメリカ大統領出席の祈り会の演奏で招かれたという経歴の持ち主です。

このようなクリスチャンのアーティストが日本でも沢山活躍して欲しいと思います。

神様をともに礼拝できる恵みを感謝します。
 

来週は、私達の教会にとっても友人であり

先輩であるスティーブンケイラー先生が、土曜日の夜キングダムビルダーズディナーから日曜日の９時、１１時の礼拝でメッセージしてくださいます。

先生は、私が、１８歳で救われた滋賀の母教会時から、親しく応援してくださっています。驚くべき恵みという口癖は、先生のお人柄をあらわしています。

信仰に、愛に、神様への情熱にあふれた、オーバーフローの先生です。
 

９時と、１１時と違うメッセージをしていただきます。

普段９時の来られない方もぜひ、お越しください。２時のサービスでは、若者への励ましのことばを話していただきます。

こうご期待。神様に期待して、祈って集ってください。

An Overflowing Special Guest
This week, violinist Mr. Christer Tepper will perform during our Sunday services. Tepper made his debut at the age of 12 in Australia. He was even invited to play at the prayer meeting where the President of the United States was last year. It is my desire that many Christian artists like him will be successful in Japan. I am thankful for the grace that we can worship God with him.

Next week we are welcoming, friend to the church and mentor, Pastor Steven Kaylor to speak to us at the Kingdom Builders dinner on Saturday as well as our Sunday services (9am & 11am). He has been a great friend to me and has been cheering me on ever since I got saved when I was 18 at my mother church in Shiga. His favorite phrase is “amazing grace”, and that shows how he is. He is a pastor overflowing in faith, love and passion for God. 

Pastor Kaylor will give us different messages at 9am and 11am services. Maybe you don’t usually attend 9am service, but this will be a great opportunity to come. He will also give us a word of encouragement to the young people at our 2pm service. Don’t miss it! Let’s be expectant, pray, and come along!

私達夫婦は、この牧師の大会には、30年も参加しています。

ペンテコステの流れの教会にとっては、50年以上続くカンファレンスです。

今回は、シティーバイブルチャーチの主任牧師 マークエスティス牧師が、数回のメッセージを話して下さいました。

「福音を中心にする教会」についてでした。

「福音の素晴らしさを大胆に伝える教会」になることがメインテーマでした。

主任牧師自身も、7000人のメンバーをリードしながらも

クリスチャンでない警察署の友人や沢山の友人と時間を過ごし福音を伝えておられます。
 

ヒズコールチャーチには同じ文化があることを感謝し、さらに満ち溢れて、福音を日本全土に満たしていきたいです。

今週は、韓国のサミルチャーチが犠牲をもって福音宣教のために来て下さっています。一緒に礼拝して、友達を導きましょう。

Last week we attended JPF Conference 2017 in Tsumagoi, Shizuoka where pastors and leaders gathered from all over Japan. My wife and I have been attending this pastors’ conference for 30 years. This Pentecostal conference has been held for more than 50 years now. This year the senior pastor of City Bible Church, Pastor Marc Estes, gave us several messages. The theme was, “Gospel Centered Church”. It was about becoming a “Church which shares the greatness of the gospel boldly”. The pastor himself leads 7,000 members and at the same time he spends time with non Christians such as policemen and other friends and shares the gospel.
I was grateful that we had the same culture and I want us to overflow even more and fill this nation with the gospel. This week our Korean friends came from Samil Church for the evangelization of the gospel with sacrifices. Let’s worship together and lead our friends together.

ヒズコールのリーダーリトリートをもちました。

リトリートとは、撤退とか退去という意味があります。

普段の戦場から離れて、ゆっくりと整えることです。

今回のリトリートは、由美先生が本当に細かく準備してくれました。

参加されたリーダーは、いかに準備されたものであったかを理解されると思います。また、学びだけでなく、聖霊に満たされ、祈り賛美する時間もありました。
 

リトリートの中で、短かな物を手に取って福音を語るゲームがありました。みんなとても上手にメッセージしていたのを感心しました。
 

私達は、いつでも福音を語る準備をしていなさいと聖書にあります。

発想と思いつきからでも、福音を語れることにインスパイアされました。

ミッキーマウスを手に、大胆に福音を語れるとすれば

私達の人間関係でもさまざまな機会があることを覚えたいです。

準備してくれた妻やスタッフに心から感謝をします。

９月は、さらに多くのリーダーが育っていると信じます。

Blessings of the leaders’ retreat
We had a 2 day His Call Leaders’ Retreat at Nagara-gawa training center on Friday and Saturday. The meaning of "retreat" is withdrawing or leaving a place. It means to leave the battlefield of everyday and have some time to equip ourselves. 
This time, Pastor Yumi meticulously prepared the retreat's program of activities. I believe the leaders there understood how well prepared it was. We not only learned, but we also had time to be filled with the Holy Spirit,  and for prayer and worship.
Also, we played a game where we shared the gospel using objects around us such as toilet paper and newspapers. I was impressed with how well they were able to share the Gospel using those items.
The Bible teaches us to be prepared to share the gospel at any time. I was inspired to see that we were able to share the gospel even by coming up with our own ideas. If we can share the gospel boldly using a Mickey Mouse toy, then we should remember that we have plenty of opportunities in our relationships. From the bottom of my heart, I am thankful to my wife and our staff members who prepared for the retreat. I believe that more leaders will be nurtured and will attend the next leaders' retreat in September.

新年明けまして、おめでとうございます。

皆さんは、年末年始をどのように過ごされたでしょうか？

Happy New Year!How did you spend your New Year's vacation?

私は、今年は1月1日が日曜日の礼拝でしたので、慌ただしく過ごしました。

子供達もアルバイトや友達との約束で外出が多く、成長と共に夫婦だけの時間が増えたと実感します。子育て時期の皆さんは、忙しいでしょうが、十分にその時間を楽しんでいただきたいです。

For me, because New Year's Day was Sunday, I was rather busy!My kids also aren't home as much as before, due to part-time jobs and meeting with their friends. I really feel that as they have grown, I have been spending more time with just my wife and me.

ヒズコールの2017年も、主への期待でワクワクしています。この時期、6つの領域で主からの夢ビジョンをお祈りすると良いと思います。

Those who are raising children may be quite busy, but I hope you enjoy that time to the fullest!
I'm excited for what God has in store for His Call in 2017!

I recommend that you pray to the Lord about your vision in 6 areas of your life for this season.

1、自分自信のこと。信仰、健康や学び。12年目ジムのトレーニングを続けます。

1. About yourself. Your faith, health and learning. I'll continue going to the gym and doing weight training.

2、夫婦や家族。来年息子は受験なので、祈っています。

2. About marriage and family. I'm praying for my son because he will take the entrance exam next year.

3、教会のこと。新しい弟子が生まれるよう。ライフグループや奉仕ミニストリー。今年は、聖書学校である拓成学院がスタートします。

 3. About church. For new disciples to be born. About lifegroups and ministry. Our Bible school, Takusei Institute, starts this year.

4、経済について。十分の一をして経済的にも祝福されて、祝福を与える一年を祈りましょう。ヒズコールでは、ドリームプロジェクト献金を発足しました。

4. About finances. Be blessed financially through giving tithes and let's pray for a year of giving blessings. At His Call, we started the Dream Center Project Offering.

5、仕事やスキル。仕事や学校生活。多くの人がこれだけでを考えて一年を過ごすのは残念です。人生は、もっと豊かです。

5. Work, skills and school life. It's a pity that so many people spend a whole year thinking only about this area. Life is  more than that

6、楽しみや趣味。今年は、7月から海外に語学留学に行く準備をしています。48歳のチャレンジです。この一年も、イエス様について行きましょう。宣教が、弟子つくりが、自分の人生を通してなされていくことをいつも思い祈って行きましょう！
 

来週は、成人式なので、教会でお祝いします。神様の祝福のある成人をヒズコール全員祈ります。

6. Enjoyment and hobbies. I'm preparing to study abroad from July to study English. It will be a challenge for me at 48!Let's follow Jesus this year too. Let's always keep praying that evangelization and discipleship will be done through our lives!
We will have a Coming of Age celebration at church next Sunday. All of the His Call family will pray for new adults to be blessed by God.

Congratulations on your baptism!

I’m writing this column on my way back from Tokyo.

東京の開拓が始まり5か月がたちます。
佐藤夫妻とメンバーが開拓をしていますが、来週は、社会人の女性が洗礼を受けます。ハレルヤ。(神を賛美します。)東京では、2回目の洗礼式です。

It’s been 5 months since we started planting a church in Tokyo.
Mr & Mrs Sato and the members are planting the church and one working lady will get baptized next Sunday. Hellelujah!

名古屋では、先週に13人の方々が、イエス様を信じるバプテスマを受けられました。

式のあとの聖霊のバプテスマの祈りも素晴らしかったです。

来年は、パワーナイトといって聖霊に満たされるサービスにアップグレートします。
昨年は、80人、今年は、60人以上の方が洗礼を受けられました。洗礼は、「古い自分の葬りであり、キリストの復活に預かること」ですが、ジャスティンビーバーは、洗礼についてマスコミにインタビューで聞かれた時に、「内側に起こっていることを外側に表すこと。」とカッコ良く語りました。(批判が多い彼を祈る側になる事は大事です。) 彼の言葉を借りるなら、大事なことは、「外側にわかるように内側に起こり続けること」です。「内側に聖霊が、神の言葉を通し働き続けること」です。それを聖化と言います。

That’s going to be the second baptism in Tokyo. 13 people got baptized in Nagoya last week. The time of prayer to ask for the baptism of the Holy Spirit after the ceremony was amazing, too. We are going to start having a service to ask for the filling of the Holy Spirit called “Power Night” from next year.
75 people got baptized last year and 55 people this year. Baptism means to “bury the old self and start a new life through the resurrection of Christ”, but Justin Bieber, when he was interviewed by the media told them that it is "an outward sign of what God's doing inwardly." (While there are many who criticize him, it’s important to be those who pray for him .) Borrowing what he has said, what’s important is for “God’s work to keep being done inwardly so it’s shown outwardly”. For “the Holy Spirit to keep working inwardly through God’s words”. This is sanctification.

それが、私たちの使命なのです。キリストに聖霊の働きと信仰によって似ていくことです。活動的な12月ですが、外側の使命より、私たちの内側の使命が優先されることを覚えつつ福音の光を届けましょう。

That is our destiny, for us to become more like Jesus by the work of the Holy Spirit and through faith. December is an active month but let’s deliver the light of the gospel remembering that our inward destiny is more important than our outward destiny.

ソウルのマイナス10度が堪えました。

Last week as I was coming back from South Korea and going to Tokyo,

 I caught a bad cold. It was probably because of the -10°C temperature in Seoul!

自宅で、一日中休むどころか、たくさんのメール、ラインを送っています。

また、ドリームセンターのことを考えて思い巡らすと寝ていられません。

At home I was trying to rest, but kept sending so many emails and LINE messages. I was thinking about the Dream Center so much that I couldn't sleep. 

2013年今の建物が建って、2014年3月9日(結婚記念日センキューユミ)に献堂式をしました。

思いもよらず、今年、夏に隣の土地が売りに出されました。

あまり皆さんに伝えていませんが、結果15銀行にあたりましたが、融資がおりませんでした。悔し涙を流しました。「神の計画でなかった。」といえばそれまでですが、融資があればおさえられ、駐車場を新しい建物に進めたと思います。この悔しさは、私に信仰の火をつけました。

In 2013, we built our current building, and we dedicated it on March 3rd 2014 (our wedding anniversary - thank you Yumi!). Then suddenly, in summer this year, the plot of land next to us went up for sale. I didn't talk about it much, but we tried at 15 different banks to get a loan to buy it. We were declined at them all. I was so upset and frustrated. It could end with "It just isn't God's plan", but I can't help thinking that if we just had that loan, we could build a new parking deck there.

時々正しい憤りが、夢を与えてくれます。神様は、信仰に火をつけたかったことがわかりました。「この地は主のものなのに、主のためび使えないわけがない。

他人様の土地ですが、、」そして、悔しさから夢が与えられたのです。

「もっと広くもっとすばらしい場所へ、社会貢献や教育、NPOや音楽ダンススタジオ、マンションもあり、ビジネスもできる総合センター、ドリームセンター」プロジェクト。

My frustration ignited the fire of faith. Sometimes righteous anger births dreams within us. I knew that God wanted to kindle the flame of faith in me. "This land is the Lord's, we should be able to use it for Him. It belongs to other people though..." My frustration gave me a dream. "A place that's bigger and better. Where social justice and education can happen, which can host an NPO and dance studio, with apartments, a place businesses can meet... a dream center."

夢の更新です。

ヒズコールチャーチの今の物件は、借地に立っています。

10年後、契約更新する計画です。

私は、更新を信じていますが、他人の土地ですから何が起こるかわかりません。

その備えにもなります。

10年で10の教会は、神様に可能です。

同時にどんな大きな夢も天と地を創造された神様には小さいのです。

名古屋に住む私たちの家族、生まれてくる子どもたち、孫、ひ孫まで信仰の目で見ています。ぜひ、このために祈って下さい。

プロジェクトの過程で神様を経験することがもっとも興奮することです。

Go for destiny あなたも、あなたの家族も神の使命に呼ばれています。クリスマス献金は、ドリームプロジェクトの初穂にします。

The Dream Center Project. My dream took on a whole new level. His Call Church's building right now is standing on rented land. In 10 years, it will be time to renew the contract. I believe that it will be renewed, but it's someone else's land, so there's no telling what they might do. This Dream Center project would provide for that. 10 churches in 10 years is possible for God. And any dream, no matter how big, is small for the God who created heaven and earth. I'm looking forward in faith to our family who will live in Nagoya, our children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren. Please pray for this project. The fact that we can experience God during the course of this project is the most exciting thing. "Go for destiny" - you and your family have a special calling from God. The Christmas offering this year will be the first sowing into the Dream Center Project. 

成功したい人への8つの助言

1、恐れや臆病を克服する

愛や好意を沢山受けてきた人は、恐れにくい。天の父親の恵みを経験すると大胆になれる。失敗を恐れないためには、父なる神様との愛の関係が強くないといけない。愛は、恐れを締め出す。

そこで、わが子よ。キリスト・イエスにある恵みによって強くなりなさい。

2、忠実さと実り両方が大事。

忠実は、当たり前。実りがないといけない。

相手の人の思いがどうかを考えて、話して、教えて、一緒に成長する。一生懸命頑張っているのにとふてくされない。実り、成果が出る知恵、工夫、改善を毎日取り組みのも忠実さ。

多くの証人の前で私から聞いたことを、他の人にも教える力のある忠実な人たちにゆだねなさい。

3、戦いと競技を意識する

人生にの戦いがあること、生活に、アスリートのような意識が必要。食べ物、睡眠、自分の状態をスチュワードシップで、最善におけるように。思いを健康にすることは、生き方を健康にする。

キリスト・イエスのりっぱな兵士として、私と苦しみをともにしてください。

4兵役についていながら、日常生活のことに掛かり合っている者はだれもありません。それは徴募した者を喜ばせるためです。

また、競技をするときも、規定に従って競技をしなければ栄冠を得ることはできません。

4、真実を信じる。

先が見えないこと、成果が出ない時がある。

また、理不尽な扱いを自分の上司からも受けることがある。でも、神様はちゃんと見ている。

約束のものをえるために必要なのは忍耐です。

私たちは真実でなくても、彼は常に真実である。彼にはご自身を否むことができないからである。」

 

5、熟練する。

人格的に成熟を選ぶ。神様からの言葉に信頼するならぶれないリーダシップを発揮できる。

務め励みなさい。とは、熟練には、努力がいる。

あなたは熟練した者、すなわち、真理のみことばをまっすぐに説き明かす、恥じることのない働き人として、自分を神にささげるよう、努め励みなさい。

 

6、友人を選ぶ。

「将来を見たいなら友人を見るがよい。」と言われる。愚痴が多く、自分を蔑む人と一緒にいないで、自分が尊敬できる人に友人になってもらう。また、自分が、与えるための友人になってもらうかどちらか。

俗悪なむだ話を避けなさい。人々はそれによってますます不敬虔に深入りし、

彼らの話は癌のように広がるのです。ヒメナオとピレトはその仲間です。

7、肉欲との戦い方を知る

肉欲から遠ざかる。女性とお金に気をつける。肉の弱さを自覚して、社会人の成功より家庭人の成功が、優先されないといけない。この弱さを言い合えて助けあえる友達をもつことは、大きな力になる。

それで、あなたは、若い時の情欲を避け、きよい心で主を呼び求める人たちとともに、義と信仰と愛と平和を追い求めなさい。

8、争わない。

怒りや憤りをその日の夜には捨てる。次の朝は、新しい奇跡の日として神様は用意している。

心を守ることはとても大事。短な祈りでも心は解放される。即座の祈りが私たちを変える。

主のしもべが争ってはいけません。むしろ、すべての人に優しくし、よく教え、よく忍び、

反対する人たちを柔和な心で訓戒しなさい。もしかすると、神は彼らに悔い改めの心を与えて真理を悟らせてくださるでしょう。

 

１５００人が集まる礼拝堂

They had a worship hall where 1500 people gather and worship God,

６００台規模の駐車場

a parking lot where 600 cars can park,

ピカピカのトイレ

restrooms which were so clean,

官僚をもてなすような食事

and meals that were as good as if they were hosting government officials.

何よりも一番贅沢だったのは、主任牧師の大川従道先生が、高速の事故で時間が遅れたにもかかわらず、わざわざ、玄関で笑顔で迎えてくださいました。

夜遅くまで私達と過ごしてくださり、ざっくばらんにお話しくださったことです。

The best part was that the senior pastor Tsugumichi Okawa welcomed us at the gate, even though we arrived late because of a traffic accident on our way there. He spent his time with us until it was dark outside and he spoke with us like an old friend.

先生のジョークやメッセージは、プロですが、この教会に人が押し寄せる秘訣を見つけました。それは、「親切」です。初めての人から、長年の信仰者まで、「親切」が行き届いていました。トイレを使うことまでもきれいで親切でした。何か大和の先生がたと過ごすと、私達も重要な人物になった気がします。私達の教会も、この点で成長したいと思いました。「親切」は、心の余裕がいります。それは、日頃の備えと神からの愛が人々に届くことを長年培っておられるからでしょう。
「親切」を行える教会や牧師でいたいです。

Their kindness extended to even how they cleaned the toilets. I somehow felt like an important person when I spent time with the pastors at the church. I want our church to grow in this area. “Kindness” requires us to have extra space in our hearts. I believe that they have it from many years of training themselves to prepare their heart daily, and allowing God’s love to reach people through them. I want myself and our church to have “kindness”.
