Pulp Beating In Paper Making Process

Cellulose fibers must be subjected to mechanical treatmenet before they can be made into paper. This treatment may be applied in a number of different ways, but it ordinarily includes a bruising, rubbing, or crushing action on the fibers. Certain pulps will develop some strength by simply agitating at high speeds with a stirrer, but most pulps require a more vigorous action.

Beating is probably the most fundamentally important process in papermaking. Paper made from unbeaten stock is low instrength, fluffy, porous, and unfit for most use, whereas paper made from beaten stock is strong, dense, and hard in texture. Well-beaten fibers can be readily formed into a uniform sheet of paper of quite high density, whereas unbeaten fibers can not. So the old maxim, "Paper is made in the beater", is still as basically true today as it was over two hundred years ago.

It is now believed that no major chemical changes in the fiber occur during beating, since the X-ray diffraction pattern is not changed. The principle effects of beating are physical, and among the most important are the following: fracture and partial removal of the primary wall of the fiber, decrease in fiber length, increase in fiber flexibility, formation of fibrils(fibrillation), and increase in the external specific surface of the fiber.

Email: leizhanpulper@gmail.com

WhatsApp: +86 13298311527

Paper Sheet Forming Of Paper Machine

Paper is made from the processed stock on a papermaking machine. Ordinarily there are two kinds of machines used for making paper. The fourdrinier invented by Louis Robert in France in 1799 and commercialized in England in 1804; and the cylinder machine invented by John Dickinson of Germantown Pennsylvania in 1809.

The fourdrinier section of papermaking machine is a framework, fabricated from steel, cald with a corrosion-resistant covering( usually stainless steel). This framework supports the wire, table rolls, stock save-all, suction boxes, and other fourdrinier parts. The most important part of the fourdrinier is the wire, of finely woven metal cloth which allows drainage, but retains fiber. Fundamentally, its action may be described as follows: as the stock emerges from the slice the shorter fibers, filler, and other additives are deposited; the drainage and filtration by the fourdrinier wire leave the sheet as a uniform, homogeneous mass; strength in both the machine and cross machine direction (random orientation).

Email: leizhanpulper@gmail.com

How many can you say about the effect of recycli

The effect of recycling white water quality on paper making
1. For making high-grade paper, the pulp, which is pulp workshop sent to the paper workshop, produce white water, because of the residual chlorine of the white water is high, it affects the paper machine color matching, sizing and so on, generally the white water will directly reuse to the paper workshop, and the water can be recycled to the pulp workshop for reusing.
2. Reuse white water usually contains small fibers, fillers, sizing material and other additives, when the suspended solids is high, will increase the ash content of finished paper, thus affect the paper strength.
3. After repeated recycling of reuse white water, microorganisms in the water multiply in large quantities, easy to cause pulp system appears rotted pulp mass, in the pulp chest and pipe wall will easy to form fog, microorganisms fall off and mix into the pulp, resulting in paper holes and paper machine broken.
4. Due to the use of fillers and other saline materials, calcium and magnesium in the white water increase, water hardness rise, hard water is adverse for paper sizing. For acidic sizing, because Ca2+, Mg2+ in the water will act with saponified sizing material, and form insoluble calcium soap and magnesium soap, thus result in the loss of rosin size.
5. In the white water with AKD sizing, due to the fiber content is higher than the filler surface, sizing material tends to adsorb on the filler surface, the AKD, which is adsorbed on the filler surface, doesn't have a positive effect on the sizing. If the filler is not retained, then the sizing material also will flow into the white water, if this white water reuse again, some of the original sizing material, which is adsorbed by the filler, will redistribute in the fiber surface, after drying to produce sizing chest effect.
6. White water reuse also have a great effect on paper dyeing. On the one hand, due to the white water contains a part of the toner, it is benefit for paper colour mixing, and the stability of white water reuse plays an important role in the paper stabilizing. On the other hand, because of the increase of white water hardness, will reduce the dyeing ability of dye.
7. In the process of papermaking, there are wood residue, resin acid, sizing agent, retention aid and other surfactants in the pulp, large number of foam produced in the white water, the gas in the reuse white water will cause the paper machine fluctuation, at the same time is not conducive to the wire part dewatering, the paper appears "needle eye" and eventually affects product quality.
8. Papermaking white water reuse is conducive to the stability of approach flow stock PH.

With 37 years experience and technology, Leizhan Paper Machinery Company is leading and professional in pulping equipment, the high quality are exported to 128 countries.
In August, 2017, Leizhan sucessfully deliver the pulping equipment for 450tpd corrugated paper making project, Jiangxi, China。

Email: leizhanpulper@gmail.com
