Erica had had a pain on her back for weeks and weeks. We arranged to meet on Wednesday and go to a
Victorian tea house, but she sounded alike she was in so much pain when I phoned her, so I suggested to postpone the date.
I started packing which I didn't really want to. I packed one suitcase and tried to carry it...oh my gosh. That was freeking heavy. I don't think the airline would allow it. I want to bring a lot of things backhome. Everything my friends and family gave me is prescious. I can shipthem home, but I want to take them home as much as possible. Yeah, itis difficult.
Plus, I felt so sick in my stomach. I had been feeling bad sinceTuesday and finally I felt like throwing up or something. I didn'tthrow up, but I was stuck at home the whole day and felt so hopeless for some reason. I arranged to go to a hockey game with Emily and Rick, but I couldn't decide whether I wanted to go till the very last moment.
My host sister was leaveng for Kelowna, so I stood up and went outside. It was cold but the wind touched my hot face and I felt fine. On the way to Emily's house, I was crying and crying. I felt so tiny and meaningless.
I was just emotional, I think. You know, I have to leave soon. I feelthat I have to ditch all the things I made and all the people I met. Ididn't go back home before, but I am getting ready to leave Kamloopsand excited to go back home to Japan. However, it is always tough to leave something you cherish very much.
When I arrived at her place, Emily and Rick said happy birthday to meand gave me a present. There was a very pretty and really thoughtfulcard on it. I opened the present. "Thank you, it is a very prettyscarf." I pulled it out to wear it and found Cheesies underneath!!!HAHAHAHAHA They made my day. I was a little bit depressed, but I was sohappy that they thought about me and chose what I would like. The cardwhich Emily made was very beautiful, too.

We went to the hockey arena.There were so many people in front of the arena. We were waiting in aline to get a ticket. Then, a guy came up to me and said, "Hey, youwant a free ticket?" I froze and thought...what's the catch?? Yeah, Igot a free ticket! I wonder why he chose me though. There were somepeople who were buying tickets.
I bought shaving ice called tropical snow. There were lots of flavors and I chose pink lemonade. It was pretty good. yum yum...
The game was so thrilling and exciting. At first, I was so scaredbecause the players and the pack hit on the windows and made bignoises. The players fought and the judges didn't stop. But as the gamewent on, I got used to it and at last I was like "Let's go go go go!!!Blazers!!!" I enjoyed it a lot!! I should have known how much fun a hockey game is before...I would be a big fan of hockey and would have come to the arena to cheer for the Kamloops Blazers again and again!!! Well, I can't help it though. I should be happy that I have at least watched a game!
They won the game against Seattle. It was my perfect birthday present. I wish I can find a hockey team which I like in Japan, too, I had a wonderful night thanks to Emily and Rick. They are awesome.

Ok, Tuesday...I met my Canadian brother again at a game arcade. Heloves Dance dance revolution, and we promised to play it together inOctober. I had been avoiding the topic because I thought it would betoo embarassing. I was unwilling to go there, but I was like, "OK, itshould be the last time to see him, and I should keep the promise as asister."
Actually, it was quite fun. I was still embarassed, but the more Iplayed, the more excited I got :) But the thing is...my Canadianbrother is SO GOOD at the game! He should use his talents forsomething else! Like...maybe he should become a dancer or something. Hewas that good at the game. He was fast and professional. I was quiteimpressed! Maybe we should go to a game arcade when he comes to Japan.It should be fun. I'm actually looking forward to it ;)

After I got home, I made sushi for my sick host sister as I promised. I couldn't find any good fish at the super market, so I used imitation crab meat, green onions, cucumbers and fish flakes. She seemed to enjoy the sushi :) I hoped she would get better soon.

Monday: Brunch with Emily - A movie at her house - Desert with my Canadian brother and his parents
Tuesday: DDR with my Canadian brother - make sushi
Wednesday: Lunch with Erica - Dinner at Emily's - Hocky game
Thursday: My birthday!
Friday: My farewell party.
Yeah, I know all these plans are fun...hehe
カムループス最後の週はすごい忙しい毎日です！！！

Ok, on Monday, we went to hello Toast for brunch. I had Bennies and stole Emily's toast ;p Hello Toast is one of my favorite restaurant. They serve breakfast all day from 7 to 3 usually.
月曜日はエミリーとブランチに行ってエッグズベネディクト（ビクトリアで食べたやつと一緒）を食べてきました～エミリーのトーストもしっかり盗むあたし(笑)

We watched "My bestfriend's girlfriend". It was a weird movie...but what made me happy was Emily bought a snack called "Cheesies". Oh my god, it was so addictive. It was very salty and cheesy, but the more I ate, the more addicted I got...couldn't stop eating :O
そのあと、彼女の家で映画鑑賞。何かわけわからん映画やったけど、エミリーの用意してくれた「チージーズ」っていうスナック。。。めっちゃ塩っぽくてチーズっぽくてかなり病みつき☆食べれば食べるほど止まらない！！！ハハ

My Canadian brother (we hosted him in Japan) came over after dinner with his parents. My host mom made a gorgeous yummy desert!! Yum! He gave me a jewely as my birthday present!!! It was surprising! I am going to put a chain through and wear it!! It is sooooooo pretty. He knows me ;)
He seems to study Japanese hard. Keep it up!!
I realized that his parents also read this blog...I wonder what I have written. I might have said something so silly!!!!! well...whatever. haha
I really like blogging, I should keep writing in english after I go back home, too :)
それから夜はカナダの弟、ジェイコブが遊びに来てくれました～☆誕生日プレゼントに宝石を貰ってしまった!!何て素敵な弟なんや～(>_<)すごい綺麗で、はやくチェーンつけて付けたいよ～～！日本語の勉強も頑張ってるみたいで、良かった良かった（●＾o＾●）ていうか、ジェイコブのお父さんとお母さん、このブログ読んでるらしい。。。（恐）今まで、変なこと書いてへんかったかな。。。まあ、うちのお母さんも見てることやし、どうでもいいかｗどうにでもなれ！
英語で「書く」ということを続けてきて、飽き性のうちがずっと書いてこれたんやから日本でも続けるべきかもね。。。

My first Candian friends

I went to Emily's house for dinner to see Emily and Alex. They are my first friends who I made at school. I took English composition in summer. I couldn't understand what was going on at all, and they helped me a lot!
I am very proud of them. Emily is a very good gymnast and Alex is very smart and she wants to become a vet. Emily showed her scrap book and there were photos we took before. I was so moved. I am going to be in her memory forever... I should make mine, too!
It was the day I came back from Wells Grey, and I was so tired, but I had a wonderful time. Hopefully I can see them again!!!
エミリーのおうちに晩御飯をご馳走になりに行ってきましたエミリーとアレックスはあたしが夏セメで英語作文を取ってた時に出会ったあたしが自力で作った最初の友達二人とも可愛くて優しいのです初めてのカナダでの授業に全くついていけてへんかったあたしを色々手伝ってくれて、励ましてくれて、彼らのお陰で乗り切る事ができたも同然エミリーはすごい体操の選手で地方に大会にいったり、コーチが日本人という事もあって日本語で「あたしの名前はエミリーです」って言えるねんアレックスはほんまに頭良くて将来は大型動物専門の獣医さんになりたいんやって二人とも自慢お友達です又会えたらいいなー

Snowshoeing

滝二ヶ所と凍っている川を見に行きました滝は完全に凍ってるわけじゃないけど、（もう少ししたら完全に凍るらしい！！）下に氷の山が出来ててその穴に吸い込まれるように水が流れ落ちててすごく不思議な光景でした。雪の世界ってすごく綺麗で、白い山々が永遠に連なっているような景色は圧倒的Ｖ字の谷になっているところは4万年以上もかけて作られたのかと思うと歴史を感じました。
ほんまにほんまに寒くて、これでもかってくらい着込んでカイロも貼ってるのに、つま先と指が痛いでも、そんな壮大な景色を見ていると寒さも痛さも忘れちゃうねんな。。。
スノーシューイングもめっちゃ楽しかった競争したり、坂を駆け下りたり、ゴロゴロ転がったり。。。スキーよりもスノーボードよりも簡単でオススメです
We went to two waterfalls and one frozen river. None of thewaterfalls were completely frozen, but there were ice cones at thebottom and the water ran straight into the hole of the cone. It was soneat. And the scenery was spectacular. Trees were covered by snowand the mountains looked like they went on forever... The V valley mademe think that the scenery has been made over 40000 years or more, and feelthe history of that nature.
The weather was very very cold and my toes and fingers were numb.I was totally bundled up...I was the one who wore the mostlayers...hehe, but I forgot how cold it was when I looked at thegorgeous scenery. Snowshoeing was also so much fun, we raced, climbeddown the hills, rolled around and made snow angels. It was a lot offun!!

キャビンに戻ったらもちろん飲み会こっちの人一晩で一人20本くらいのまはるんよね。。。すごいというか、感心するわ(笑)
あたしのカナダ滞在にほんまに大きな大きな幸せをもたらしてくれた地学部のメンバーにはほんまに感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです今回のウェルズグレーキャンプもあたしの出発日を考えて日にちまで設定してくれはって、あいされてるなーうち(笑)特に地学部に誘ってくれたシュネードには、感謝しても仕切れへんくらい皆がいなかったらあたしのカナダ滞在は楽しさ半減やった絶対一生忘れられへん思い出をありがとう絶対又カムに戻ってくるぞ!!!!!
We got back to the cabin and had a boozeup as usual(lol).
I really appreciate TRUGS (TRU Geography Society). They took me tomany places and let me experience a lot of activities. They set thedate of this camp in Wells Grey last weekend because I am leaving thisweekend. I especially appreciate my friend, Sinead, the organizer ofTRUGS. She is very caring, kind, fun and very special. Without them, mystay in Canada would have been much less fun. I am lucky that I metthem
and I will never ever forget the trips we took and the members I met.

Winter Wells Grey Weekend

ウェルズグレーにまたまた行ってきましたもちろん地学部のメンバーと目的はスノーシューイングスノーシューズっていう、平たい金具の靴を履いて、雪の上を歩くんやけど、もし、普通の靴履いてたら、雪がとても深く積もってるから、ズボズボ沈んじゃうねんな～そのくらい雪が積もっているのです
朝ＴＲＵのキャビンを出て、車二台で目的地を目指していたら、前を走っていた車がスリップして雪にぶつかり、軽く事故えっナンバープレートは壊れるし、ドアも閉まらなくなっちゃって、結構悲しい朝のスタートやったけど、全員無事ってことが不幸中の幸い
スノーシューズ初体験の感想は「こんなんで一日中歩き回れるんかいなんー」やったけど、歩けば歩くほど慣れていって早く歩けるようになって、結構コツを掴むのは簡単走ると、踵で雪を蹴って雪のしぶきが舞い上がるねんめっちゃ楽しかった
I went to Wells Grey again last weekend with my Geography members. We left Kamloops around 5, and arrived
at the TRU cabin around 7:30ish. After we had dinner, we startedplaying drinking games, but I felt like dancing with music, so I danced andplayed with a hula hoop...haha
The next day, we left the cabin around 11 and headed to the firstwaterfall by car. We had two cars and I was in the bigger truck withthe other 5 people. We drove behind. When we turned the corner, the cardriving just ahead of us was facing toward us. We thought they wanted to head backto the cabin or something, but "wasn't it too quick to turn???" Actuallythey slipped on the icy road, then flipped, and hit the snow by theside of the road. The passenger door was damaged and the license plate and so onwere broken, but all the people in the car were fine. Thank God! Thedriver freaked out and cried a little bit, but luckily we were allsafe. That's the most important thing. We changed our moods and drove to atrail.
Yeah, we went there for snowshoeing! Hooray!
My first impression was "Hmm...I don't know if I can walk withthese snow shoes for all the day..." but the more I walked, the more Igot used to them and the faster I could walk. When you run with snowshoes, you kick the snow and make splashes. It was really cool.

オタワに行く前、飛行機がキャンセルになって結構落ち込んでたあたし。家に帰って「何でやねーん（ジタバタ）」してたら、ローリーがやってきて、あたしの事を見上げてちゅうしてくれた。慰めようとしてくれてた。
ということで、家の近くの中国系墓地までお散歩。
Before going to Ottawa, I had a day off thanks to the cancelation of my flight. I came back home and was kinda desappointed. Then, Rory came, looked at me and kissed me. He knew how I felt.
So, I decided to go for a walk with him. We went to a Chinese semetry.

心細い時はいつもあたしの傍にいてくれる。話を聞いてくれるし、一番敏感にあたしの気持ちを分かってくれるから、ほんまに感謝してる。ローリーに出会えてよかった。
I live with him and he is my family now. He is gentle and sweet. When I feel alone, he is the one who listens to me. I love him.

カルガリー空港　Calgary airport

Actually, I was planning to fly to Ottawa on the 6th, but the flight was canceled because of fog, so I left Kamloops on the 7th.
My flight was from Kamloops to Calgary to Ottawa. It took almost 16 hours...because I had to wait for my flight at the Calgary airport for 4 hours.
Hmm...I had nothing to do and it was so boring to be alone..."OK, I can treat myself at restaurant!"
Lunch time! Yay~~~
実は6日オタワに出発する予定やったんやけど、吹雪で飛行機がキャンセルしたから、予定より一日遅れの出発となりました
カムループス→カルガリー引継ぎ（4時間待ち)→オタワ
うーん、一人ぼっちの空港は暇な事半端なく、待ってる間レストランでランチングうふ

日本女子力！　Japanese girl's ability

When I was in Ottawa, my friend's parents let me stay at their house. So, I made Japanese food for them! I am a representative of Japanese girls, so I have to show off!! hehe
Everyone ate 2-3 servings and said that all the food was very good. That made my day! The chicken was marinated with soy sauce, cooking sherry and garlic for a few hours. The salad dressing was made of soy sauce, sesame oil, vinegar, sugar and ramen soup, and I added baked almonds and ramen flakes as toppings. I thought I did well, too ;p
If you want me as a wife, please pick me up in Kamloops! (lol)

オタワにいるときにお世話になった友達に料理を作りました日本女子力見せ付けなきゃね(笑)
チラシ寿司と焼き鳥（串ないけど）、和風サラダ
美味しい美味しいって皆2～3皿も食べてくれはった～～作った甲斐あるよね
ちなみに焼き鳥は醤油と料理酒（シェリーを使った）一対一にニンニクを摩り下ろして混ぜたものに数時間漬け込んでから焼きました和風サラダには炒ったアーモンドスライスと手前一丁ラーメンを細かく潰してトッピングドレッシングは醤油、ごま油、酢、砂糖にとんこつスープのもとを混ぜて作りました自分で言うのもなんやけどお肉は柔らかいし、サラダは触感が色々楽しめて美味しかったし、チラシも上手くできましたお嫁に欲しい人はカムループスまで迎えに来てxxx
