ここまでAPUの入学式、授業をお見せしましたが、今日は全てがここから始まるといっても過言ではない、APUにとって命でもある大学寮、APハウスをお見せしま～すﾍ(ﾟ∀ﾟ*)ﾉ
Previously on my blog, I showed you guys the entrance ceremony and class of APU! And today, I'll show you the dorm called AP house, from which I'd say everything about APU starts.（‐＾▽＾‐）








まず最初にAPハウスとは何なのか。APハウスは世界80カ国以上から集まった国際学生が日本人学生と共同生活を送る大学寮です！国際学生と日本人学生の比率は7:3となっており、日本人で入寮できるのはごく一部です。国際学生は基本的に1年間住むことができて、その後は山を降りた別府市内に住むことになります。（APUは山の上に立地しているということを申し遅れました）
What is AP house? AP house is the dorm where international students from more than 80 countries in the world live along together with Japanese students. The ratio of international students and Japanese ones is 7;3. Only a few Japanese students are allowed to live here. International students basically live here at the first year in APU but after then they have to move out to downtown in Beppu city.(Thats my bad that I haven't mentioned APU is located on the top of the mountain.)

これはとある日の夕飯時です(^∇^)　こんな感じで日によって色んな国の料理を食べることができるのもAPUならではですね
This is a pic of a dinner time sharing with my friends!(^O^)/ It only happens in APU that you can eat multicultural foods everyday!







こちらは世界祭とよばれるフェスティバルです各フロアが出し物を準備し競い合いますこの世界祭では世界中のエスニック料理を食べて周れることも魅力のひとつです
This is a festival called "World Festival".It's kinda competition where the residents living at each floor has their performances or food stuffs. Eating around all kinds of ethnic foods is one of the most interesting points at the world festival.







これは餃子パーティーをやった時です！ﾍ(ﾟ∀ﾟ*)ﾉみんなで協力しておいしく頂きました！嬉しかったのが、何人かが餃子の作り方を覚えて自国に帰ったあとも友達に作ってあげたりしているということです
This is a Gyoza(Chinese food) party!(・∀・) We made them along together and it was soooo good!!! What made me happy was that some of them learned how to cook Gyoza and try it out to their friends back home after they left Japan.

こちらの飲み会は少し人数抑え目で静かなパーティーでしたねこのメンバーは全員ネイティブスピーカーなのでとにかく英語、特にアメリカのスラングをいっぱい教えてもらいました(*^▽^*)
This party was bit small and quiet. This members are native English speakers so they taught me English especially American slang!ﾍ(ﾟ∀ﾟ*)ﾉ






今回のは賑やかです！このメンバーだけ見ても10カ国の人がいるというのは驚きです！
This party had more people! It's amazing that the people from 10 countries get together in the room!






これは誕生日パーティーですね(^O^)/こうやってみんなで誕生日パーティーをインターナショナルに祝えるのもAPハウスの特権ですね
This is a birthday party!(^-^)/ Thanks to AP house, we can internationally celebrate together.






実はこういうパーティーが英語力向上のチャンスの場なんですよね～お酒を飲みながら気軽に英会話できるし会話も自然と弾むんですよ！逆に国際学生に日本語を教えて交換することで相乗効果もあるんです！
As a matter of fact there are chances to improve English in these parties! You can have a conversation with some drinks, which let you talk easily.Vice versa you can teach Japanese to international students too!




さて今日はAPハウスをお見せしましたがどうでしたか？楽しそうですか？実は辛いこともいっぱいあるんですよ～いつもパーティーしているわけではありません。大学も大学寮も山の上にあるということなので、他の大学生よりは遊ぶ場所は限られていますし、普段は勉強を真面目にしております。それでもやはり勉強、食事、イベントを通して語学はもちろん、異文化交流や友人の輪を広げてくれるAPハウスの意義は大きいです。上に挙げたパーティーやイベントというものは基本的に私が開催しているのですが、もっと日本人と国際学生が交流を深められればなあと思っていて、これからイベントをさらに増やしていくつもりです
So how was AP house? looks fun? Actually there are lots of tough things too in AP house. We don't always party. Since the univ and its dorm are on the top of the mountain, there aren't really whole a lot to do, so we basically study. But still there are a lot of things that we can learn and get by living in AP house such as like　languages, intercultural communication and friendships. The parties and events that I showed you above are basically what I organized and I'm planing to have more events to build good intercultural communication among Japanese students and international students.



次回は番外編でかずまのアメリカ友人訪問記、または別府天然温泉キャンプのどちらかを書こうと考えています！お楽しみに！！！
I'm thinking of writing about Kazuma's American trip to visit a friend, or Beppu natural hot spring camp next time! Don't miss it!!!

Hello Everyone!!!



今日はAPUの授業に少しお邪魔してみましょう～(^-^)/
Okay today we're going to see class of APU.(^O^)/







これは国際戦略の授業です！写真ではわかりづらいのですが、いくつかのグループに分かれていて、それぞれのグループが日本、アメリカ、イスラエル、ロシア、北朝鮮を演じ、それぞれの国の視点から核兵器について国際会議さながらの討論している様子です！
This class is International Strategy! It might be a little bit hard to see from this pic but the people are divided into some groups and each group has plays a role of countries such as Japan, U.S, Israel, Russia, and North Korea. They are discussing nuclear weapons from their each perspectives like a real international conference!







こちらは戦略分析と意思決定という授業です写真はボードゲーム型国際関係シュミレーションゲームをしている様子です(・∀・)生徒が７つの国に分かれて陸軍、海軍を動かし領土を奪い合うというゲームです！ボードゲームを通して戦略分析と意思決定について学びました　私のチームはフランスで３位でした。まあまあですね(￣∩￣あ、ちなみにこのゲームの勝敗は成績の25%に影響するほど貴重なゲームでした！笑　
This class is Strategic Planning & Decision Making.We're playing a simulation board game on international relations.ヽ(ﾟ◇ﾟ )ﾉ The students are divided into 7 countries and each one tries to obtain as much territories as possible by operating their army and navy! We learned Strategic Planning & Decision Making through this game. My team was France and got 3rd place! not bad...By the way the result of this game was accounted 25% for the final grade so it was quite important!!!lol







こちらは先程のものと少し似ているのですが、それぞれの国の視点になって核兵器について考え、他国と交渉するというゲームをやった時の写真です！あそこにいる金髪のアメリカ人は皆さんご存知の通りアレックスです
This is kinda similar to the previous one that I wrote above, each group considers nuclear weapons from their countries and had negotiations against other countries. The guy with blond hair is as you probably know Alex.







こちらはパイレーツオブカリビアンでお馴染み、ジョニー・デップが特別講師としてAPUに来た時の写真です(-^□^-)
This is when Johnny Depp famous for Pirates of the Caribbean came to APU.(・∀・)



ごめんなさい嘘です。笑

これは戦争とメディアという授業です！いや～騙されたあなた、似すぎですよね！！！笑　実は近くから見てもジョニーそっくりなんです最初はちょっと授業に集中できませんでしたね。笑　教授はカナダ出身で昔米軍のジャーナリストをやっていたそうですとても真実味があるお話が聞けました！
This class is War and Media! Well those who believed he was real Johnny, thats totally understandable. He looks completely Johnny Depp!!! In fact he really looks like Johnny even when you see him in person. To be honest I couldn't focus on class at first class.lol He is from Canada and was a journalist in American military. So the stories that he told us sound really true.







さてこちらが最後の写真ですが、とんでもない方が来られました！！！大分県、別府市に！！！
So this is the last pic today. This pic is when some one we have never imagined came to APU located in very country side in Japan!!!



なんとアメリカ合衆国国務次官のタラ・D・ソネンシャイン氏がAPUに特別講義をしに訪問されたのです！！！講義の内容はアジア太平洋地域の連携の重要性を述べたり、米国と日本の結びつきをもっと深めたいという内容でした。
Tara D Sonenshine, Under secretary of the U.S visited APU to have a special lecture!!! She mainly talked about the importance of the cooperation in Asia Pacific area and the link between Japan and the states.




いや～大変貴重な体験ができたと思います！ヽ(ﾟ◇ﾟ )ﾉ　APUならではのイベントですよね～！この大学にいると本当に世界が広がる！と改めて実感しました！
That was a definitely precious experience in my life! This kind of event only happens in APU! I felt that I could have a lot of chances to have sights to see the world in my university!!!



今日はAPUの授業に参加してみてどうでしたか？楽しそうですよね？でも辛いこともいっぱいあるんです！APUってどんな授業をしているのかな～って少しでもわかっていただけたら嬉しいです(・∀・)

今日はAPUの入学式について書きたいと思います(-^□^-)
Today I'm gonna write about the entrance ceremony of APU.(^-^)/



入学式もインターナショナルですよ～
Even the entrance ceremony is really international.








APUの入学式は日英両言語で行われます！あ、言うの忘れてたけど、授業も掲示板も資料もすべて日英両言語です！
The ceremony was taken place in both Japanese and English. Oh, I almost forgot to mention, everything in APU such as class, bulletin board, document stuffs is taken or written in both Japanese and English.



入学式でスピーチしたのも日本人と外国人両方でした(・∀・)なんとこの大学、学生の半分は外国人なんです(￣▽+￣*)
There are two guys who did the speech at the ceremony. One is Japanese and the other is an foreign student. Yeah, the half of the students of this univ is made by international students!o(^▽^)o








真ん中が私で、左がルームメイトでニュージーランド出身のLukeです！右がアメリカ出身で大親友のアレックスです！
The middle one is me, the one on the left is my room mate Luke from New Zealand, and the one on the right is my best friend Alex from America!



隣でアメリカ英語とニュージーランド英語が聞こえてくるのがおもしろいですヽ(ﾟ◇ﾟ )ﾉ
It's very interesting that I heard American English and New Zealand English at the same time!(^-^)/







実はAPUの入学式がとても素晴らしかったんです！パフォーマンスとか圧倒されました！これが終わった後の写真。なんか懐かしすぎて泣きそうです
The entrance ceremony of APU was actually very awesome! I was quite overwhelmed by some performances! And this is a pic I took after the ceremony. I'm almost crying because this pic brings me back. Good memories....







入学式終わった後公園で民族衣装を着ているのはトンガ人の友人達です(・∀・)

My name is Kazuma! I'm a 3rd year student of Asia Pacific University.



なぜ日本語と英語両方で書いているのかというと.....
The reason why I write this blog in both Japanese and English is because.....



日本人だけでなく外国人もこのブログを理解できるように、そして英語の練習をしたいからです
foreigners as well as Japanese can understand my blog and I want to improve English by writing in English.

私の学生生活です！！！
My student　life！！！



学生生活？！おまえの学生生活なんて興味ねーよ！って思った方いらっしゃいますよね？笑(・∀・)
Your student life?! Some of you guys just might think "What the hell serious this kid? I don't wanna see your student life at all", right?lol (・∀・)



待ってください、私の学生生活は少し普通とは異なるのです！
Wait a minute! My student life is a little bit different from a normal one.








こちらは先程も紹介しましたが立命館アジア太平洋大学です！通称APU(Asia Pacific University) です(^O^)/
As I said before, this is Asia Pacific University called APU.



ちなみに外国にあるわけではありません！笑　大分県別府市にあります
By the way this univ is located not abroad, but Beppu city in Oita prefecture in the west side of Japan.



何が普通と異なるのか.....
What makes this university different?



私の友達を見せるのが一番早いですね
Showing you a pic of my friends would be an easier way for you to understand what I mean.






そうです！日本にあって最大の国際学生数を誇るインターナショナルな大学なのです！！！
Yes! My univ is an international university which has the highest number on international students in Japan!!!



すごいところは世界80カ国以上から学生が集まっており、中には日本にたった一人しかいないとされている出身の方も在籍しており、まさに世界の縮図といった感じです(≧▽≦)
The amazing point is that students from more than 80 countries in the world get together in my univ and some of my friends are the only people living in Japan from their countries. It completely looks like a world map!!!(´∀｀)

The picture above is what I took at Hanami event (going to see cherry blossoms) at Beppu park!
