On 7/16 I visited Gion Matsuri Festival with my co-workers. This ivent is so famous that many people visit every year. Nowadays the shops alongside the streets have become stylish so that you definitly enjoy this festival by seeing many exciting things.

Tortoises' taking a rest

Today I was taking a walk in Kiyomizu Temple. Fortunately I found two tortoises were taking a rest by a pond. There are three tortoises in this pond. Two of them were resting today. When you come to Kiyomizu Temple, please try to find them.

Summer is coming in Kyoto. Leaves of trees around Kiyomizu Temple are getting deep green every day. Kyoto is famous for its beauty in Spring and Automn but I recommend Summer beauty.

Terrace on Kamo River

Today I visited a terrace on Kamo Reiver for the first time this year. Many restaurants along Kamo River open a terrace where people can eat or drink every summer. I chose a tofu restautant "Tousuirou" today and ordered a famous Yudofu (tofu in boiled water) and Tempra. I like this restaurant because we can order another Yudofu for free !

Terraces on Kamo River has started

This year's terrace on Kamo River have been opened ! These terraces are set up by restaurants facing Kamo River every summer. We can select whether we eat or drink inside a restaurant or on its terrace. Perhaps I will go to this terrace soon this year, so I will report this later !

Kyoto Diary has started !

Today I decided to start keeping a diary of Kyoto Life. The reason why I decided it is... I have to go to foreign counties every year on my job. I wholesale traditional dolls made in Kyoto or Japan and retail them at my shop. I have to participate in exhibitions held in foreign contries. So I got interested in foreign contries' life and culture. United States, Italy, Australia, China etc... And I thought that if I can read a diary written by a person living such a country on the Internet, I feel very excited ! So I decided to write my diary. I will write topics which especially we can experience in Kyoto City and Japan. Please check my diary from now :)
