Yougashi is the general term of the confectionery of Western origin.

Confiserie: the confectionery of sugar such as chocolate or candy.

Glac: the frozen dessert such as ice cream or sherbet.

There are sponge cake, pound cake, tart, cream puff, chocolate, ice cream, pudding, jelly, soufflé, baumkuchen and sweet potato.

Especially I like chocolate in this.

What do you like?

Probably, every Yougashi is familiar and almost all persons have eaten them.

They are all sweet. Therefore, neither those who are careful of health and figure, nor person poor at a sweet thing eats.

I was eating chocolate before the game or test when I was young.

Because I had heard that chocolate heightens concentration.

This time, I introduce wagashi.

Wagashi is Japanese sweets.

Japanese sweets are made from the traditional manufacture method of Japan.It becomes the between meal refreshments of Japanese tea or powdered tea in many cases, therefor, there are many sweet things and most oil is not use.

Many kind of Japanese sweets are invented from the main raw material of comparatively few kinds, such as sugar, a starch syrup, rice, wheat, azuki and so on.

Then, there are Ohagi, Manjuu, Dorayaki, Monaka, Kintsuba, Kasutera, Youkan, Gyuuhi, Amanattou, Suama, Karintou, Arare, Senbei and so on.

It is classified 3 types.

★The dry confectionery(Higashi) : Japanese sweets of under 20% of the amount of moisture.

★The fresh sweets(Namagashi) : Japanese sweets of over 40%.

★The half fresh sweets(Hannamagashi) : These middle.

We eat Japanese sweets in many cases to the traditional event of Japan, such as the Girl’s Festival, Children’s Day, the night with a full moon, and an equinoctial week.

Although some people may like the Yougashi better than Wagashi, I think it is one of the Japanese culture.

The origin of a word is sango which means an Italian string. It is most famous pasta in Japan.

It is famous for the quantity of whipped cream. Although there are some kinds, the most popular menu is strawberry whip cream and macadamia nut. A price is 1100 yen.

I introduce my favorite omurice.

Omurice is the rice dish produced in Japan.

The main materials are rice, chicken, onion, carrot, green pepper, ketchup and egg.

There are many variations in omurice. Although simple omurice puts ketchup on an egg, there are also Demi Grass and original sauce, for example, rice with hashed meat, roux of curry, white sauce, spiced cod roe sauce and tomato sauce. Second, this picture’s shop is “Taimeiken” in Nihonbashi.

This restaurant’s famous menu is Tanpopo omurice which is using 3 eggs.

I cut thick egg, and was a soft-boiled egg. It simple taste, but don’t need sauce.

Price is 1850 yen. It is worth going although it is somewhat high.

And finally, this picture’s shop is “hokkyokusei” in Osaka.

It is known as famous restaurant of origin of omurice.

It is called the originator of omurice and is very derisious.

Chicken omurice is 690 yen, and there are other kinds various.

If you go to Osaka, please eat.

In addition, there are many omurice’s shops.

If you cook it, point to milk into egg and to stir with at fire.
