LIVE THE HIGH LIFE AT MOTOGP

Each Flagroom ticket includes a general admission ticket, paddock pass, reserved seat for Saturday and Sunday at Turn 4 grandstand, souvenir program, parking pass, and the legendary Flagroom hospitality area that includes breakfast and lunch buffet and complimentary beverages.

If you would rather be near the front straight, the Laguna Club with turn 11 grandstand seating may be the perfect spot to experience the bikes in the fastest part of the track.

HISTORIC STOCK CARS TO RUMBLE

"Look out, Junior," might be the call in the paddock during the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion as a group of historic Stock Cars take the grid. For the first time in the event's celebrated history, Stock Cars with drum brakes will be roaring through the corkscrew at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca August 13-15.

Joining the Ferrari GTOs, Bugatti Type 35s and Cobra Daytona Coupes in the paddock is an impressive field of championship cars, such as the two-time Stock Car Champion Ned Jarrett's 1966 Ford Fairlane, David Pearson's 1969 Ford Talladega and 1968 Ford Torino Cobras, Dick Hutcherson's Ford Galaxie, Junior Johnson's 1963 yellow "banana" Ford Galaxie, Dan Gurney's 1963 Ford Galaxie and Bill Champion's 1971 Mercury Cyclone.

The United States Auto Race Marshals (USARM) and Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) are the providers of professional race marshals for the races at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. USARM and SCCA not only provide us with track safety monitoring, they recently donated $3,000 and $2,000 respectively to the race track for the corner worker awnings. Each corner worker stand at the track will have brand new awnings to keep the corner workers cool and focused on race safety.

【５月２２日～２３日の】

昨年も走った紀伊半島一周６００ｋｍを５月２２～２３日に走りました。

２２日土曜日は

今年一番の暑さでしたが、順調に潮岬を越え三重の尾鷲まで到着。

尾鷲から予報どおり雨が降り出したのですが、

紀伊長島から南勢五ヶ所までのＲ２６０で暴風雨に遭いとても自転車で

走れる状況では無くなりました。

ただでさえ厳しいアップダウン、真っ暗なこのルートで、

深夜にたった一人で暴風雨の中を走ることは恐怖でした。

もしここでパンク、転倒等に遭ったら

俺はいったいどうなるんやとか考えながら、慎重にかつ必死で

南勢の五ヶ所まで辿り着き伊勢市から近鉄特急で帰阪しました。

残念ですが、

残り２００ｋｍ弱を残して途中リタイヤでした。

豪雨をなめていました。

夏ならなんとかなったでしょうが、５月深夜の豪雨は想像以上に

体の熱を奪いました。

しかし僕が長距離を走る時は、

どうして何時も豪雨になるんでしょう？＝雨男か～。

ちなみに稲本さんが一番鍛えたい筋肉は…ハムストリングス

まぁ、ハムストリングスと聞いてスグにわかる人は、

筋トレオタクでしょうかね

HOW TO GET TO THE AMERICAN LE MANS SERIES MONTEREY PRESENTED BY PATRÓN

Because there are limited access roads around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, a number of parking options were created to make it easier for fans to get to and from this year's American Le Mans Series Monterey presented by Patrón.

FREE On-Site Parking

Free MST Public Bus Transportation
As with all events at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, fans can ride for free on Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) buses during a race weekend by showing their race ticket or credential. The MST bus stops are within walking distance from most hotels in Monterey County and the buses drop off fans in the Yamaha Marketplace, near Turn 5.

With practice, qualifying and nine races, including the American Le Mans series six hour endurance race on Saturday, you will need a copy of the race schedule to make sure you do not miss one moment of the on-track action.

Race Car Drivers in Montrio's Kitchen
Don't miss this spectacle as drivers racing in the weekend's races hit the kitchen of Montrio Bistro to fix a tasty treat. Race fans are invited to meet the drivers at Montrio Bistro.

Montrio Bistro, 414 Calle Principal, Monterey on Wednesday, May 19 from 11:30-1:00 p.m.

Bicycle with American Le Mans Series Drivers
Cycle enthusiasts can come out and pedal the racetrack along side the American Le Mans Series drivers on Wednesday, May 19 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

This is your opportunity to put your endurance to the test on the 2.238 mile, 11-turn road course under your own pedal power! There is a $10 fee with proceeds benefiting a local charity.

Tech Talks featuring the American Le Mans Series Teams
The race teams are inviting fans to their team transporters for a detailed and entertaining talk about their high-performance race cars. Drayson Racing will host the first Tech Talk Friday, May 21 from 12:30 p.m. and Risi Competizione will host the Saturday Tech Talk at 12:30 p.m.

Tech Chats featuring the American Le Mans Series Teams
The drivers from Team Falken Tire are inviting the fans to come by the transporters on Friday, May 21 at 12:00 p.m. to hear the team chat about their racing and the race cars. BMW Rahal Letterman Racing will host a Tech Chat on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.

Fan Party at The C Restaurant & Bar
Come out and meet the drivers racing in this weekend's American Le Mans Series Monterey presented by Patrón. Enjoy food and beverage specials and prize giveaways at the InterContinental The Clement Monterey, Cannery Row on Friday May 21 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Autograph Sessions
This is your chance to meet and receive autographs from over 50 drivers racing in the American Le Mans Series Monterey presented by Patrón The autograph session will be in front of the team transporters in the paddock on May 22 from 11:15-12:00 p.m.

INDY 500 CHAMPION TO RACE IN THE PLAYBOY MX-5 CUP

It turns out that former Indy 500 Champion Danny Sullivan had more in common with the folks at MAZDASPEED than he knew. Sure, they both loved racing, especially at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, but they discovered that both are active animal advocates interested in the promotion of shelter adoptions.

Members of the public are invited to join "Danny's Pet Crew" on Sunday, May 23rd. In honor of the 105th anniversary of the SPCA for Monterey County, Danny will race car #105. The first 105 people to donate $105 or more will receive, a raceday ticket, a team T-shirt, and an opportunity to meet Danny. For the five people donating the most money, they will watch the race from the Mazda VIP suite above pitlane.
