羅林茲（Jimmy Rollins）與鄧恩（Adam Dunn）兩支全壘打、奧斯華（RoyOswalt）四局五次三振無失分的表現，幫助美國隊在世界棒球經典賽（World Baseball Classic）第二輪八強複賽9比3擊敗荷蘭。

美國獲勝後，17日將迎戰明天波多黎各與委內瑞拉之戰的敗隊，獲勝就晉級，落敗就重演上屆第二輪即遭淘汰的命運。

羅柏茲（Brian Roberts）第一局就靠著萊特（David Wright）的高飛犧牲打回本壘先馳得點；羅林茲二局下在兩出局後敲出右外野兩分全壘打，美國3比0領先。

四局下，羅林茲與羅柏茲接連打出帶有一分打點的三壘安打，羅柏茲再趁著尤克里斯（Kevin Youkilis）打出的滾地球奔回本壘，美國6比0遙遙領先。

羅林茲第五局靠著犧牲打為美國再添一分，鄧恩六局的陽春彈一舉把比分拉開到8比0。

荷蘭七局展開反攻，靠著迪卡斯特（Yurendell deCaster）二壘安打追回一分，八局上安傑哈德（BryanEngelhardt）陽春全壘打建功，史庫普（SharlonSchoop）再以一支高飛犧牲打打回一分，把比數追到3比8；不過美國八局下馬上靠著麥坎（Brian McCann）二壘打再進補一分，終場美國就以9比3獲勝。

第一輪爆冷淘汰多明尼加的荷蘭隊，今天敗給美國後也打包回家。

冬天冷，但是比起老爸當年的「明尼小蘇打」那簡直是小巫見大巫，

我們零下四度，人家是零下四十度。XD

下雪？對不起，UW Seattle 校區十年來沒放過雪假，

（學校的八字硬到讓人無法想像的程度，下雨淹不到，大雪埋不了。XD）

所以比起東岸那種動不動就暴風雪的冬天，我很喜歡這裡。

夏天不熱這我就不用說了，

米國哪一個角落的七月盛夏還有可能出現華氏 55 度的氣溫？

（華氏 60 大約是攝氏 16。）



說到西雅圖，大概大家馬上想到縱橫全世界的咖啡大魔頭 Starbucks。

姑且不論他們家的咖啡與速食文化的界線到底有多遠，

很奇妙的是，來到這裡你就會不自覺想喝咖啡，不自覺地走進 Starbucks，

然後就像酒鬼走進酒吧裡一樣，在腦內說服自己今天喝一杯沒關係XD

夏天熱了我不會想去找甜死人不償命的珍珠奶茶，

反而願意多走幾步路，去大魔頭的分店買一杯最愛的 Hazelnut Latte 來喝。

冬天，肩上背著背包，手上抱著原文書，嘴裡還不忘咒罵著迎面吹來的冷風時，

也會想說在回家的路上去為大魔頭進貢點什麼。



我在台灣是個從小把茶當水喝的茶壺小孩，

偏偏到了西雅圖成了非受迫性 Starbucks 信徒，

但是在一離開美國境內回到台灣卻又會重拾茶壺的身分。

連我自己都覺得奇怪。



我覺得大魔頭賣的咖啡一定有下咒。

就像晴明跟博雅老是沒辦法討論出所以然的那個「咒」一樣。

會讓你在用吸管吸著星冰樂的同時，開始認為這個才叫咖啡。

然後當你去另一個街角的 Tully's 買同樣的產品時，

會覺得吸管吸起來的東西不叫咖啡，而是某種你說不出名字的東西。

或是手裡如果拿的不是 S 牌的白色紙杯，裡面裝的液體就會變得索然無味了。



因為經濟拮据，因為背負著「手再怎樣也不能抖」的不成文責任，

所以縱使已經從台灣茶壺變成半調子的大魔頭信徒，

我還是常常在路過綠色的「神壇」前告誡自己，改天等到良辰吉日了再來進貢。

只不過「莫使金樽空對月，千金散盡還復來」，

我有時候還是會忍不住轉個九十度，忍不住推開了大門，忍不住告訴自己：

「好吧，其實今天喝一杯沒關係。」



然後再默默地掏出儲值卡付了今天的香油錢。XD





話說重度 S 牌中毒患者心中的聖地：Pike Place Market 的第一間分店，

我來這裡整整兩年內都不知道去過多少次了，

可是每次都沒進去「來一杯」，更不用說去搜括紀念品。

所以想當個「忠實的信眾」這個念頭說歸說，

現在還不是只有一個 Seattle 的隨行杯。XD"


不誇張，如果麥加是回教徒一生必去朝聖的聖地，

那麼 Pike Place Market 那間分店在諸多信徒的心中地位就大概是那樣了。XDDD
