と何回言っても

何回でも出しっぱなし。

「何で使った物を元の場所に戻せないの⁉️ 何回言ったら分かるの⁉️」

とキレつつ、このセリフは子どもの頃に母から何百回と言われたなぁ、こうやってこの先何世代も、このセリフは受け継がれてゆくのかな…などと実はしみじみと未来の子々孫々を想っている。

そんな夫は💩の後にもちろんトイレの窓を開けない。

何度言っても開けてくれない。

だからトイレに入った瞬間に

ウワァくさッ

おい❗️また💩の後にトイレの窓を開けなかっただろ❗️ふざけんな❗️おもっきし嗅いじゃったじゃんか‼️

とキレても、

そのにおい好きかなと思って

とか全く面白くないジョークを言ってヘラヘラ笑ってやがると本気でイラッとする。

果たしてどんな味がするのだろうか…‼️

KFC味だからKFCの味がするんだろうけども。

車で30分ほどの距離に住む彼らとは、ほぼ毎週のように会うし時々お泊まりもするし、頻繁に電話をしてクソしょーもない長話するヒマあるなら子どもの面倒みてくれや日常の仔細な変化を逐一報告し合っている。

特に長男。

彼はそもそも人懐っこい性格で、若干5歳にしてだいたいの人間とはうまくやれるやり手ボーイなのだが、特にジイジへの懐き方が尋常でない。

もしかしてキミの前前前世から探し続けてたんじゃないの…⁉️とか思っちゃうくらい、新生児の時からジイジが来るとキャハキャハ笑い、そのまま変わらず5年間ずっとずっとジイジのことを愛してやまない。

あんなに懐かれたらそりゃあかわゆうてかわゆうてたまらんやろなぁと思う。

一方次男は元々あんまり社交的なタイプではなく、生後1年間くらいは、義両親と会うたびに、

「えーと…     だれだっけ？」

みたいな訝しげな顔をして彼らを見ていたので、彼らのほうも、西洋絵画の天使かよみたいなお顔をしていてる次男ちゃまにさほどハートを射抜かれている様子はなかったが、

とにかく、そんな彼らがロックダウン中に愛しのボーイズ3人組に全く会えなくて、そうとう寂しかったご様子。

ロックダウンが緩和された瞬間から、ひと目で良いから可愛い僕ちゃんたちのお顔を見せておくれと、我が家にお越しになった。

離乳食の頃には何でも食べていたのに、一歳を過ぎたあたりから少しずつ食べないものが増え、最近では私が作った料理にほとんど手をつけないこともある。

My four years old son wanted to touch the dog. I have faced to the same situations for a several times during the lockdown and I was always wondering if the 2m social distance rule applys to between human beings and dogs too. Anyway I told him not to touch the dog but then a middle aged guy who owns the dog said

 “Come and stroke her. She will be very happy.” 

I thought 

“I will disappoint her if get my son to decline the offer” 

and let my son go for it. The possibility that COVID-19 is attached on the dog’s back should be very low.

The dog’s name was Jojo.

The guy started explaining how to tell if dogs are happy to be stroked or not by the status of their fur while my son was happily stroking Jojo’s back.

He kept talking about Jojo and said “She is inquisitive”.

“Inquisitive?” I said.

“Inquisitive” He said.

I didn’t know what “inquisitive” meant but didn’t want to bother him to explain what “inquisitive” means.

On the way back home I kept muttering “inquisitive inquisitive inquisitive inquisitive....” not to forget the word so that I can ask my husband what it means.

In Japan- we normally don’t expect foreigners to speak Japanese. One of the reasons is because  the number of the immigrants in Japan is much smaller than the one in the the uk and people often see foreigners as visitors but not residents.

If we have to talk to a stranger who obviously is from a foregin country we would start with “Hello...?” or “Excuse me...?” and see how he / she responds to check if he / she speaks Japanese. However people in the uk just talk to me without doubting whether I can understand English or not. On top of that they speak so fast. Sometimes people just suddenly tell me a joke and start laughing without confirming whether I understood it or not. If they start laughing I lose chance to beg their pardon because it ruins their joke. I just have to laugh with him / her wondering what he / she was saying

Racism has been mattering all over the world. I do have experiences to be discriminated since I came to the uk. On the other hand there are people who don’t care where I am from and just talk to me. Every time it happens I feel that I am regarded as one of them.

My husband’s parents visited us this afternoon and we had lovely a BBQ lunch.

We cooked marinated chicken, king prawns, sweet corns, portobello mushrooms with cheese on top, etc.

My mother in law gave me a compliment on a baked potato, which I just put in the oven. 

I would have to make much more effort to please mother in law when serving food if I was with Japanese husband.

They left shortly after the lunch as it seemed to be raining soon. My son was very sad and cried. He watched the yellow submarine dvd to cheer him up.

Actually it did start raining as soon as they left.

The Beatles is popular とかMr.Children is popularとかいうのが正しい。

と返信がきた。

たしかに。

日本語だと「風邪が流行る」と「ミスチルが流行る」って、同じ「流行る」だけど、

英語のpopularは「人気がある」という意味でしかないんだな…

て今さらこんな間違いするのってヤバくねぇか私…？！と思った在英8年目の冬であった。
