Historycally, Japan has relationship with Hawaii for long time. Around 1900, a lot of Japanese moved to Hawaii as migrant workers. They both from island and have same way of thinking. Japanese and Hawaiian both believe every one of existence like woods, rivers, oceans has a God's spirit. We have same spirit which is harmony with nature.I guess they feel similarity and comfortable about Hawaiian culture.

Addtionally, The dance style is very similar with Japanese one. Hula dance need to bend knees a little bit, keep the center of the body low and tell the story by using hand motion. That is very similar to Japanese traditional dance.

In Japan, devorced people are recognized as lacking patient. Patience is one of most important virtues for Japanse. So people back-bite devorced people. My granma always complains like "young couple don't have enough patience, when I was youg..." Additionally, people who divorce are seen as loosers in Japan. If someone divorces once, we call them one-cross. If he divorces twice we call him double-cross. I disagree with that. So we have quite a negatibe impression about divorce.

Most Japanese think marrige should be one time in their life, and de facto marrige is not really accepted and common. I think Japanese are more consevative about marrige than people from other advanced countries. The way of thinking and people's attitude has been changing gradually because of globalization though, they still don't accept divorce as disirable.

I don't want to diorce though, I disagree with the way of thinking that we see devorced people as loser or lacking of patience. I understand there are differnt reasons among devorced couples. We shouldn't decide their personality only because of divorce. I don't think it is fair.
