配送が希望時間通りにやってきて、さらに取り付け作業も丁寧で感動。　さすが大手、アメリカだってやればできるのよね。

政府の仕事も民間を見習ってほしいわ。だんなに愚痴ったら、政府にそれを期待するのは無理。なんせユニオンが強いからだと。

まあ、とにかく新しい冷蔵庫がきてよかったわ。でも最近のはとってもちゃちな作りなので、息子たちに優しく扱うように指導。１０年もちますように。　

ちなみに買ったのこれ。　今なら政府のエコリベート付き。（どこの国もやることは同じ。）

初めて作品公開日に行ったら、びっくりしたわ。どのブロジェクトもすばらしくて。私は子供に任せていたので、息子のはそこその出来。他のはどれもお見事！でもね言っては何だけど、これは親の作品、まるで親のプロジェクトのようだった。まるで親が採点されてる？　

宿題は親と一緒に、プロジェクトを完成させるという前提だったのね。だから私も手伝う事にした。ママ友に相談したけど、学校の方針に文句言いつつも、やっぱり手伝っているし。

でもね、これよくないの。息子は私を当てにするから。

親としては自分でやって、自立心を身につけて欲しいのだけど。。。でも彼が一人でやるとそこそこの出来だし。

そんなジレンマの中、今週末提出のアメリカの大統領のプロジェクトがあって、はーぁ。。。。ため息がでる。

My younger son is 4th grade at an elementary school. His teacher gives her students so many projects. 15 projects per year!!
Each one requires all sorts of different activities such as researching, writing, drawing, or making crafts. I thought projects are done by kids alone. No, no, no, not at his school.

When I went to his school fair for the first time, I was surprised to find out that all of the projects were exquisite. As for my son's work, it was just OK. I could tell that these were not done by kids alone but with parents' help. I saw parents' ego displayed behind each project. I also felt like parents were graded by teachers such that how much you were serious about your kids' school work. So I decided to help him just like other parents.

Of course, some of my mother friends are complaining about the parents' involvement but they still help.

Now, he counts on me all the time. It is a very bad habit. I want my son to be independent and finish it by himself. But if so, it won't be as nice as others.

What should I do? I should help him or not? My dilemma continues. In the mean time, another project about the US Presidents will be due this weekend. Sigh.....

やっぱり中耳炎。先生いわく　

この状態では何も出来ないから、抗生物質をと鼻スプレーを使ってください。次３週間後に来てねだって。

私、右耳聞こえないんですが。。。耳の水が自然になくなるのを待つんだって。

I had a pain in my ears on Friday afternoon. I took some Advil but it did not help. Unfortunately, it happed on weekend, so my primary care doctor’s office was closed. Next day, I could not take a pain anymore so I called my doctor up for help. Luckily, he called me back in a half hour and left a prescription at a pharmacy. The doctor said that bacteria are causing an ear pain. I lost my hearing on my right ear.

最近、気がついたんだけれど、なんか味覚と嗅覚を失なったみたい。食べ物が美味しくない。おやつも食べたくない。(←ここグットポイント）

試しにチョコを１つ食べてみたが、やっぱり味がしない。

うーーーーーー悲しーーーーい。でもやせたらいいか？

そんな事言ってられず、きのうから耳も痛くなったので、月曜日に病院に行きます。

About two weeks ago, my older son got a cold because he went sledding in brutally cold weather. And Of course, I caught the cold from him.

I have a runny nose and a slight headache. Recently I’ve noticed that I’ve lost my sense of smell and taste for food. Nothing tastes good. I can’t taste if it is sweet, salty nor bitter. Now, I don’t even have a craving for junk food. (This is a good thing.)

Yesterday, I ate one piece of chocolates and it tasted nothing.
Woooo, I am so sad. Well, in the mean time, I hope I loose some weight!
Now, I have an ear pain so I will see a doctor on Monday.

６時半ごろ無事帰宅。クラスメイトのお父さんが、家まで送ってくれた。私は雪道を運転するのが大の苦手なので、親切なお父さんに感謝。

その夜、その母さんに電話したら、”プロジェクトは一時間で終わってねぇ、その後ずーとWiiやら何やらで、楽しそうに遊んでたわ。”　

やっぱねぇ。

夕食後は補習校の宿題をやる約束なのに無理、そのまま歯も磨かずにバタンキュー。　

そうとう楽しかったんだね。

My son went to his friend’s house to do a social study project.

He was so happy about going to his house after school.

He regarded as a play date.

He came home around six thirty. It was nice of his friend’s father to drive him home.
I was afraid of driving in the snow because my car is a two wheel drive.

I spoke to his friend's mother on the phone and she told me that the project was done in one hour and they played with wii. I figured that.

After dinner, he was supposed to do Saturday school homework but he could not say up. He went to sleep without brushing his teeth.

He must have lot of fun with his friend.
