The past October 27th was the Harajuku Fashion Walk #4 in Monterrey

We started the Harajuku Walk in an area called "Morelos", it's very similar to Takeshita Street, there are many clothing stores, food and other shop varieties.

It was a fun day with harajuku lovers friends!

Harajuku Fashion Day Monterrey 2017

Hello! I'm the event planner of the harajuku walks in my city

In July of 2017, it was the second Harajuku Fashion Day in Monterrey

We started the Harajuku Walk in an area called "Morelos", it's very similar to Takeshita Street, there are many clothing stores, food and other shop varieties.

We walk until we reach the event venue "Patio Barrio" is a place that has a small coffee shop and space to hold events. There were local exhibitors selling various items, stickers, harajuku-kawaii accessories, notebooks, clothes...

And there were also two special guests: Mike Montalvo. Blogger and collector of Monster High dolls, who is also a fan of Harajuku Fashion.

And Roxy Doria, who founded the Mexican cosmetics brand "Glamourama"

Mike gave a talk about his collection of dolls and Roxy a small makeup tutorial.
And there was a Harajuku fashion show and some guys danced during the event.
Without forgetting the presence of the DJ CYO Style.

And at the end of the event there was an award for the best outfit.

Harajuku Fashion Day Monterrey 2016

Hello! I'm the event planner of the harajuku walks in my city

In July of 2016, the first edition of the harajuku fashion walk was held in my city. In Monterrey city there had never been a harajuku walk.

I always liked Japanese fashion, especially "harajuku"
A few years ago I knew about harajuku walks because in Mexico City is where the largest community of followers of harajuku fashion in my country. They already had time doing fashion walks, but I didn't know there was an international fashion walk. So it seemed like a good idea for my city to come together to make a Harajuku Fashion Walk for the first time.
In Monterrey there had always been followers of Japanese fashion. So I set about organizing everything to do the first Japanese fashion walk in Monterrey.

We started the Harajuku Walk in an street called "Morelos", it's very similar to Takeshita Street.

We walk until we reach the place of the event called "Centro Cultural BAM" located in the famous zone of "Barrio Antiguo" in my city.

Was a small free event so that people know a little more about Japanese fashion.

Where there was a conference that I gave about Harajuku Fashion.

Kawaii! Bomb! Fest! 2017 Kyary Edition!

One of my events: Kawaii! Bomb! Fest!
It's called like that because I like the kawaii concept very much, not only visually also historically, socially and philosophically, I'm interested in the meaning of the word kawaii. Therefore, I decided to create an event that was dedicated especially to everything kawaii in my city. For example, there are mexican brands in my city that are dedicated to making beautiful accessories inspired in fairy kei or harajuku style, or just kawaii concept. I don't want to make the explanation so long, so in a short summary, my event is dedicated to the dissemination of culture and the kawaii concept of Japan in my city.

Kawaii! Bomb! Fest! 2017 Kyary Edition!

The second edition of this event was in November of 2017 in a place called "Epicentro". This time I decided to dedicate the event to Kyary Pamyu Pamyu because I think she is a great icon of the kawaii concept in Japan.

Hey! i'm Damien from Monterrey Mexico! Nice to meet you!
I'm studying at the Facultad de Filosofía y Letras of my city Monterrey, at the state of Nuevo León on México.
I like photography, i'm not very good at it yet regarding techniques and editing, because i honestly don't want to focus on the work of photography, i like it a lot, but as a hobby, it relaxes me (compared to drawing because if i don't get out, i get too stressed) I love taking pictures of the flowers, whenever i loaded my camera i know that the last one will be full of pictures of flowers.

I'm not very good, i'm not interested in becoming a professional in photography, at least not for the moment, i have a semi-professional camera and i'm happy with it, i know it can not be compared to other cameras at the level of photographic quality and manual mode, but i'm happy with the results it has given me so far, as i have said, it is more a hobby, not so much wanting to make the perfect photo, capture the moment and remember it in a photograph...

I like to draw, but i have not done it lately because i feel that i'm not able to draw again like i did a long time ago; i have a small collection of colors Prismacolor and Faber Castell, honestly i get much better Prismacolor. i also have another small collection of pencils and pen especially for drawing.

Since i was eleven years old i like to write, although in those days i wrote fictional stories about ...
I have no idea, i only remember that a story was about a girl that an anthropomorphic being visited and terrified every night, and after that they became friends ...
Currently i don't have projects regarding writing, that is, i don't have a story to write or something like that, but it's something that i really like, although it requires practice if you want to be an expert or write very well without misspellings, syntax and so on.
I don't really travel much, in fact i don't travel haha! My first and few trips were when i was a little kid. The most recent was in 2015, Campeche and Merida (México), was an experience that was given thanks to my brother and sister-in-law, and i really discovered that traveling is something wonderful, because you know the people of the place where you go, people who are very different from the place where you live, the culture, the gastronomy, the speech, everything is different and it is great to know it, among one of my life plans is definitely to travel around the world if i can.

I would never finish everything about myself, so... I will leave a little list with some data that i consider curious about me:
1. I'm very anxious and stressed person
2. I don't like vomit, i detest it, but the funny thing is that: i can see others throw up without feeling disgust.
3. I really love like to live in Japan, Thailand or Singapore in a future.
4. As a child i was very afraid of bees, they made me cry
5. I love spiders and tarantulas
6. I love cats, i always chase them but, they ignore me...
7. I like political themes.
8. I'm a very serious person, quiet and difficult to socialize, but everything depends on what situation and circumstance i find, in fact, the only place where I have that dificulty is in the university, outside of there is fine.
9. I really like makeup, although I don't make-up every day. I like to buy lipsticks, shadows, false eyelashes...
10. I would like to have a lot of money and have some association that supports people.
11. I love Harajuku Fashion and Kawaii concept.
12. I organize japanese cultural events in my city.
