Yes, that's Isla Fisher appearing in two of the first major films of the summer-movie season: the latest adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's "The Great Gatsby" as well as the crime caper "Now You See Me."

"It's really exciting," Fisher says. "I guess I don't feel any pressure because I'm not the lead in either movie."

In "Gatsby," she's the ill-fated Myrtle Wilson logging precious, but little, screen time. In "Now You See Me," Fisher plays one of a quartet of magicians who use their talents to take back money from immoral millionaires and return it to the people they bilked. The film boasts an all-star cast, including Morgan Freeman and Woody Harrelson. "And Mark Ruffalo is chasing after us, and Melanie Laurent and Michael Caine," she added in a recent interview. "(It's) basically a lot of people nominated for Oscars and then me, a SAG member, committing these heists."

During filming of "Now You See Me," Fisher (whose first name is pronounced "EYE"-luh) had a close call.

"I was chained under water," the 37-year-old Australian-raised actress recalled. "I had a quick release on my wrists and a quick release on my feet, but the chain that was tying my wrists to my ankles ... It got looped around the bottom of the tank. I'd already been under for two-and-a-half minutes, and I couldn't get up for air. And I did have a moment of, just, 'Oh my gosh. Not in a swimming costume. No one wants to go in a swimming costume."

Fisher, who has two children with actor-husband Sacha Baron Cohen, seemed poised for name-above-the-title stardom after a breakout performance in the 2005 comedy "Wedding Crashers" and headlining the 2010 comedy "Confessions of a Shopaholic," which grossed more than $100 million worldwide.

But that success did not catapult her to leading-lady stardom. Instead, she's stayed steadily employed as a working character actress. "I naturally gravitate towards people who don't mind getting ugly," FIsher responded. "That's why I think I've not really enjoyed the 'ingenue' road, or at least it has not been offered to me, because I'm willing to pull a bad face, and to sweat a bit. Or glow."

"The Great Gatsby" opened Friday. "Now You See Me" opens May 31.

The FDA said on Monday it was taking a "fresh look" at the issue in response to the launch of a caffeinated gum, "and if necessary, will take appropriate action."

While the FDA did not name the gum in its statement, Wrigley launched the product this month. One piece of the gum contains 40 milligrams of caffeine, about as much as a half-cup of coffee, according to Wrigley, which is owned by privately held Mars Inc.

The company said it markets the gum as an energy product for adults aged 25 and older, and that it exceeds current regulatory requirements on labeling and disclosure. The gum has a more bitter taste that does not appeal to children, a higher price, and packaging that clearly separates it from other gums, she said.

"As the FDA refines its approach to caffeine, we welcome the opportunity to work with them on this important topic," a Wrigley spokeswoman said in an email.

The FDA seeks to protect consumers from unsafe foods. In addition to research and inspections, the agency has the power to recall and seize unsafe products and stop companies from producing them.

"The only time that FDA explicitly approved the added use of caffeine in a food was for cola and that was in the 1950s," Michael Taylor, FDA deputy commissioner for foods and veterinary medicine, said in a statement on its website on Monday.

"Today, the environment has changed. Children and adolescents may be exposed to caffeine beyond those foods in which caffeine is naturally found and beyond anything the FDA envisioned when it made the determination regarding caffeine in cola," he said.

Wrigley is not the first to market gum with energizing properties. Mondelez International Inc sells a line of Trident Vitality gums, with ingredients like ginseng, green tea and Vitamin C, and Stride Spark gum in "Kinetic Mint" and "Kinetic Fruit" flavors that have Vitamins B6 and B12 added.

A Mondelez spokesman said none of the company's gums contain caffeine.

NEW DELHI (Reuters) - POSCO'splanned $12 billion steel project in India moved a step forward on Friday after a court handed a decision on a mining license to the federal government, raising the South Korean firm's chances of getting preferential access to iron ore.

The world's fourth-largest steel producer has waited eight years to get necessary clearances, land and an iron ore mining license to start work on the project, billed as India's largest foreign direct investment.

While the project planned in eastern Odisha state may still face hurdles from protesters and over issues such as land ownership, a supportive federal government is expected to clear the path for POSCO's top concern - a captive mine that will give it steelmaking raw material iron ore.

"This is positive for the company because the central government has been supporting this project," said Rakesh Arora, a metals expert and head of research at Macquarie Capital Securities (India). "There's no doubt that without iron ore, this project was not starting at all."

India was concerned about the delays and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh himself is monitoring the project's progress, Trade Minister Anand Sharma had said in January.

In Friday's order, Justice Sudhansu Jyoti Mukhopadhaya of India's Supreme Court also quashed a lower court's ruling that prohibited POSCO from mining iron ore.

Shares of POSCO, which counts billionaire investor Warren Buffett as a shareholder, cut their losses after the news to end down 1.24 percent, in a wider Seoul marketthat closed 1.8 percent lower.

"We believe that this will significantly help to expedite the project," Y. W. Yoon, chairman and managing director of POSCO India, said in a statement. "We are happy that it has come at a time when there has been significant progress on the land clearance work for the project."

The company signed an agreement with Odisha in June 2005 to set up the steel plant on 4,004 acres of land. It is seeking 2,700 acres to begin the project's first stage, which involves setting up two 4-million-tonne plants in two phases.

So far the company has been able to get physical possession of just 1,700 acres.

POSCO says that if it gets the required land in the current year, the first-phase of the plant may be commissioned sometime in 2018. At full production of 12 million metric tons, POSCO's project would have accounted for 16 percent of India's total current annual steel output of 76.7 million metric tons.

HURDLES REMAIN

The court order notwithstanding, the project could still face hurdles. A decision is unlikely to be made soon by the government, which is mired in various allegations of corruption in a pre-election year.

And POSCO is expected to face further protests from rights activists, environmentalists and former politicians.

"At no cost would POSCO be allowed to enter into the hills. We will not allow any mining," said Jual Oram, a former federal tribal affairs minister from the Bharatiya Janata Party, the main opposition party in New Delhi. Oram has been leading the fight against the company's mining plan.

POSCO, though, has hedged its bets and raised its investment in other emerging countries such as Indonesia to make up for its slow progress in India.

The project is one of several in Odisha facing protests and delays. Investment plans of ArcelorMittaland Vedanta Resourcesin the state have been similarly delayed.

The BBC, NPR, CBS, and the Associated Press have all been  in recent weeks. Most notably, the SAE claimed credit for sending alast week that claimed President Obama had been wounded in an attack on the White House. That tweet sent stock markets tumbling, albeit briefly, as investors scrambled to verify whether bombs had, in fact, erupted in the White House.

Formed in 2011, the SAE has a nebulous relationship with the Assad regime. The SAEas "a group of enthusiastic Syrian youths who could not stay passive towards the massive distortion of facts about the recent uprising in Syria."

However, there's little hard evidence to tie the group directly to Assad. One researcher who has followed the SAE since its inceptionit clearly seemed like the two had some link, though he cautioned that the relationship was mostly one of "tacit support." 

While social media has increasingly played a role as unrest continues in the Middle East, the SAE is unique in that it is working to defend the government, not to topple it.

With a victory Saturday, the No. 3-seeded Sharapova would plug one of the few holes in her resume. She completed a career Grand Slam by winning the French Open last year but has never won the tournament near downtown Miami.

"It would mean so much to me," the Russian said. "I absolutely love this city. It's the first city I landed in when I came to the United States as a little girl."

Sharapova will face the winner of Thursday night's match between five-time champion Serena Williams and defending champ Agnieszka Radwanska.

Andy Murray, the 2009 champion and runner-up last year, advanced to the semifinals by beating No. 9 Marin Cilic 6-4, 6-3. Murray has yet to drop a set, and his path is made easier because Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer skipped the tournament, and Novak Djokovic lost in the fourth round.

"Obviously if they aren't there, then you don't have to play against two or three of the best players that have played the game," Murray said. "So it's not as challenging. I always enjoy playing against them because it's good for me. It's a good test of my game."

Murray's opponent Friday night will No. 8-seeded Richard Gasquet, who beat No. 4 Tomas Berdych 6-3, 6-3. The other semifinal will match No. 3 David Ferrer against 34-year-old Tommy Haas, who upset Djokovic.

On a sunny, mild afternoon, Sharapova won seven consecutive games during one stretch against the No. 22-seeded Jankovic. Sharapova committed only 10 unforced errors from the baseline in 88 points while breaking serve six times.

Sharapova took the Indian Wells title two weeks ago and has won 22 consecutive sets, a career best, while winning 11 matches in a row. But she endured a sloppy quarterfinal against Sara Errani, winning despite 57 unforced errors, including 13 double-faults.

She double-faulted only three times against Jankovic and won 23 of 25 points on her first serve.

"I just really thought I needed to step it up from my last match and play a little better," she said. "I was really happy with the way I focused."

Jankovic, playing for the second time in less than 18 hours, was repeatedly a step late trying to reach Sharapova's shots.

"I wasn't moving," she said. "I felt heavy on the court. I felt really tired and exhausted."

Jankovic questioned scheduling that forced her to play in consecutive sessions while Williams and Radwanska had a day off before the semifinals.

"Kind of crazy," she said. "I had a couple of hours of sleep, and then I had to be back on the court."

Sharapova looked fresh even though she has played a lot of tennis lately. She's bidding to become the third woman to win Indian Wells and Key Biscayne in the same year.

Steffi Graf did it in 1994 and 1996, and Kim Clijsters won both in 2005.

"Winning a title on its own, whether it's here or Indian Wells, is a great achievement," Sharapova said. "To be able to come back from that and recover in just a few days and come back to the final here, it's great. Physically, many years ago I wouldn't be able to do that, so I'm very proud of the way I have recovered."

Sharapova has lost the Key Biscayne final to four different players Clijsters in 2005, Svetlana Kuznetsova in '06, Victoria Azarenka in '11 and Radwanska last year.

The first attack took place in Baghdad's eastern suburb of Huaasinya when a parked car bomb went off early in the morning, killing four civilians, two police officials said.

Twelve people, including four policemen working at a nearby checkpoint, were wounded in the bombing, the officials said. The Shiite-dominated district is located some 25 kilometers (15 miles) east of the center of the Iraqi capital.

Around noon, another parked car bomb exploded near a group of anti-al-Qaida Sunni fighters near the former insurgent stronghold of Fallujah, 65 kilometers (40 miles) west of Baghdad.

The pro-government militiamen had gathered outside a military post to receive their salaries. The explosion killed three of the fighters and one civilian, two police officers said. The blast also wounded 15 people, the officers added.

The group, known as Sahwa, is made up of Sunni Arabs who joined forces with the U.S. military to fight al-Qaida at the height of Iraq's insurgency. They have since been regularly targeted by Sunni insurgents who see them as traitors.

Four medical officials confirmed the casualty figures. All officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk to the media.

Violence in Iraq has spiked since April 23, when security forces tried to make arrests at a Sunni Muslim protest camp in the northern city of Hawija. In April, the death toll in Iraq hit 402, up from the previous month's toll that stood at 254.
