<title>Metal Facades in Chandigarh</title>

<![CDATA[ <p data-sourcepos="3:1-3:118;75-192">I don't usually write about architecture on here, but a recent trip back to Chandigarh made me want to jot this down.</p><p data-sourcepos="5:1-5:512;194-705">I grew up visiting relatives in the sector bungalows — the wide plots, the quiet roads, the very specific Chandigarh look that Le Corbusier basically designed into the city's DNA. What struck me this time was how many of those old houses have new skins. Painted walls that I remember being repainted every few years are now covered in flat, precise metal panels. It's a real shift in <strong>Chandigarh facade design</strong>, and once you notice it, you see it everywhere — Sector 9, Sector 15, all along the wider avenues.</p><p data-sourcepos="7:1-7:498;707-1204">Turns out this isn't just a random aesthetic choice.
