He doesnt really like pictures and whenever we take one, he always makes weird faces so...

This was the most decent one that I could find.

Hes not handsome at all and I tell him all the time. haha

He always says we are like the Beauty and the Beast.

But that doesnt matter to me.

Men are all about the inside, not the outside!!

When I was younger, I never belived those words (How shallow! haha)

but now I do.

Thats a good lesson learned.

Anyways!!

Hopefully I have will have better luck from now on getting decent pictures of him!

Marine Day (National Holiday in Japan)

1 year and 3 month anniversary

My BF, Koji, proposed...

There may be people who think its too fast...

But we were real and honest to each other from the start.

No fronts, no pretending.

We kinda knew from the start that this day would come of everything went the way we thought it would go.

There were no doubts, no hestitation, no questioning to myself - He is the one that I want to be with for the rest of my life.

Of course, I love him and adore him.

But not only that, but I admire and respect him.

It is hard to find a person like him and being with him makes me want to be a better person.

We hardly... actually never fight because we can talk to each other before anything can come close to becoming a fight.

I know that it may never always be that way, but at least we know that we can discuss most things through.

Our lifestyles are similar and do not conflict, so there shouldnt be too much stress from that area.

We respect each other's hobbies and interested and dont interfere.

We make each other laugh. We are always laughing when we are together.

We talk to each other everyday since we started dating and we never get bored.

When we started dating, he promised that he would take care of me more than anyone else can.

He tries to make all my little dreams come true.

I want to do the same for him.

I know that things might not always be good...

But I want to share both the good times and bad times with him.

I want to overcome the bad times with this person.

I want to overcome the bad times for this person.

I truly felt so.

And more than anything, I feel happy everyday and felt happy everyday since I started dating Koji.

It wasnt as if I was unhappy before, but with him, I always have a moment each day where I think to myself how happy I am...

I want days like that to continue with him.

Just wanted to let you all know how happy i am!! hehe

Work got busy so I had to stop updating my English blog at work… lol

What a bad worker

I could also update from my cell phone, but I think you can all imagine what a pain it is to type all this from a cell phone

But here I am... updating again because Brandon reminded me to & because it's so slooooooooooow today

I can't believe that I still have 2 more hours to go...

ANYHOOOO… Part 3, Part 3…

So, after karaoke, we went to see them off to their cars… an orange 1970’s Nissan Sunny with pink flames on the side and a yellow 1970’s Sunny pick-up truck

The BF thought that that would be a total turn-off, but I was actually pretty interested… in the cars, that is.

Modern cars all look the same and are boring…

Before driving off, the BF asked for my friend and my numbers.

At the time, I had 2 cell phones (1 as a main line and the other as a cheap sub-line) and I didn’t want to give him my main number, so I gave him my other number and e-mail address.

That one I had free unlimited text messaging, so I thought I wouldn’t have to waste money on him… lol

WHAT A B*TCH lol

(He and I talk about this episode a lot and laugh.)

Anywayz, he e-mailed me the day after we met but I didn’t reply until a week later because I am a lazy-ass (as you all should know!) and because… well… I’M A B*TCH. lol

I finally replied and we sent a couple of text messages back and forth about our shared passion of karaoke and coke, but it ended quite quickly.

That is the story for August 2008.

Soooo... The 6 us went out for drinks...

I wasnt really looking forward to anything and thinking about the crush.

All and all, it really just turned out to be a "drink with friends" kinda get together.

My first impression... I dont really remember... lol

Not so good at first (i didnt think any one was cute or anything) but i remember he was the "mood-maker" of the group and I respected that.

Afterwards 1 girl went home and the rest of us went to karaoke.

I sang FATED and GLITTER (Ayu songs of last summer!) and he seemed impressed with my singing and kept humming FATED afterwards.

It turns out that he has a weak spot girls that can sing... AND half-Japanese girls. lol

And he was good at singing too!

He asked who I liked and of course (as all of you know) I answered "GLAY and Ayu"!!

So he said he would sing GLAY....

Which is a BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG NO-NO to me.

I hate guys who try to appeal to me through GLAY songs because they usually SUCK, sing it wrong (screwing up the details bugs a MAJOR fan like me... If you dont know it, DONT SING IT) and chose cliche songs (enough with HOWEVER and BELOVED and ZUTTO FUTARI DE!! Chose something else!! They have SOOOOO MANY GOO SONGS!!!).

But Wrench surprised me by singing WINTER, AGAIN and HAPPINESS - not the major ballads and he sang them good & without mistakes!!

So he got points from me with that, but I pretty much spent the nite singing songs that reminded me of my crush.

Soooo... how we met...

We actually met last summer in August.

My friend from high school and her co-worker (guy) planned a "get-together" - 3 on 3.

It started because the co-worker said that he had 2 guy friends that totally had no luck with women and because of their jobs, didnt have a chance to talk to any either.

So it was sorta a drinking party between single people - but mostly a pity party for the 2 guy friends.

The only reason I decided to go to this was because my friend and the co-worker were TOTALLY gonna hook-up, so I wanted to see the future BF.

(They hooked up a week later.)

So

as you can probably guess...

Wrench was one of the guy friends that the pity party was thrown for...

So now that the whole situation with the ring is clear,

I guess its time to explain about the BF…

Just to update you all, I was seeing someone for a little bit

(it wasn’t serious AT ALL) and broke-up with him in June, 2007.

So I was single for a while.

There was some guy drama here and there before and after that.

I had a crush last summer, but he ended up going out with another girl

(slut-face that didn’t have a place to live because she broke up with her BF

and was looking for someone else to leech off from)

despite that we went out on a couple of dates.

Back then, I was crushed.

But now all I can say is “Oh well!”

and now I really think it worked out for the best…

But to be honest, for a while I went through a phase where

I was sorta fed up with guys in general.

I felt like all their kindness wasn’t genuine

and was just a way to get to me and take advantage of me.

It was a blend of wanting someone,

but not being able to trust anyone to the point where I would let them in.

I guess i should make it clear about the rings in my other blog because I have been receiving e-mails with all kinds of questions regarding it. lol

First off, the ring that I have is THIS. (right hand:ring finger)

Not THIS (left hand:ring finger) lol

This is my co-worker's engagement ring (Harry Winston) that she got from her BF of 8 years who proposed to her this May

I was just joking around, pretending that it was mine

Any ways, more about my actually ring laters...

(Well, most of you are probably not interested any more now that you know that its not my engagement ring lol)

Then I found out that you were weak.
Keepin' me there, under your thumb 'cause you were scared that I'd become much more than you could handle.
Shining like a chandelier that decorated every room inside the private hell we built, and I dealt with it.

Like a kid I wished I could fly away but instead I kept my tears inside 'cause I knew if I started I'd keep crying for the rest of my life with you.
I finally built up the strength to walk away.
Don't regret it but I still live with the side effects.

Wakin' up scared some nights still dreaming 'bout the violent times.
Still little protective 'bout the people that I let inside.
Still little defensive thinking folks be tryin' to run my life.
Still little depressed inside, I fake a smile and deal with the side effects.

Vacant inside, no one was there.
Couldn't be real, had to keep quiet.
Once in awhile, put up a fight.
It's just too much, night after night.
After awhile I would just lie,
You were dead wrong, said you was right.
Did what I could, just to survive.
Couldn't believe this was my life,
Flickering like a candle, doing my best to handle sleeping with the enemy aware that he was smothering every last part of me.

So I broke away and finally found the strength to breathe...

Forgive but I can't forget.
Every day I deal with this.
I live with the side efffects, but I ain't gonna let them get the best of me...

Haha I TOTALLY need this, because my cat, Chuka, always does this

Are there any cat people out there that suffer from this

Some of you may remember, but I had 2 cats, Tom and Chuka

Tom actually passed away this April

He was 14 years old and we all thought he was going to pass away from age.

We could tell that he was getting weaker, but i think he was in a pretty good condition for a 14 year old cat.

But that was not how he passed away.

He was hit by a car, right in front of our house.

Two ladies, who live in the apartment in front of us, found him and wrapped him up in a towel and were trying to put him in a box.

Right when I was heading out, I saw this and recognized the tail sticking out from underneath the towel.

It hurt that he had to go like that.

It hurt that I had to find him like that.

But I am grateful that I found him after someone was taking care of him.

I am also grateful that I found him before they took him away.

It doesnt make the pain or regrets go away.

But i should be thankful for the fact that Tom was around for 14 years, from when I was in the 4th grade.

To think that he was my first pet.

To think that we spent more than half of my life together...

I also should be thankful that I had that sholder to cry on.

And that sholder is still there, whenever we see a cat on the street who faced the same fate as Tom...

Probably didnt think that his entry would be so heavy from the picture attached, huh

Well, I didnt think so either...

But I guess this was another point in my life that I wanted to let you all know...

Last nite I went to a car gathering with my bf.

He is a BMW mechanic but hates BMWs and looooooooove old cars.

This is his car: a 1973 Nissan Sunnny.

He made his own engine, painted it orange, and put the flames print on the side.

We patrol the Tokyo & Yokohama/Kanagawa area in this car...

Its pretty funny see the reactions of people when we are driving in this car.

Little kids look and point because it looks like a toy.

Old people and foreigners look and point (and also take pictures) because its rare and nostalgic.

(Or maybe its because the car is rare and weird... along with the fact that we usually blast the music real loud...)

I like to wear outfits that TOTALLY do not match this car

I also like the fact that he lets me blast reggae music, Ayu, and Glay if i want to.
