100 yrs & 1000 yrs 「百年を生き、千年の木を植える」

人生は短いと言えど、今風に言えば100年。その間にはいろいろな変化が存在する。個人的な経験で言えば、自分の子供の頃と現在の気候のあり方は世界中で違うし、社会的、技術的な問題で言えば、チャットGTPや量子コンピューターが存在する世界に生きている。

多分これから先にも、何十年か前には信じられなかったような変化が目の前におきながら、人間は生きていくことになる。

ネガティブな部分に目を向ければ、すべての人が自分が生きている間にも、人類が犯したいろいろな間違いのダメージを受けながら、個人的な人生を生きていかなければならない。

基本的に、動物としての人間は、100年や1000年と言う長い時間のスパンで物事を考えることができないようになっている。野生動物で、そのような長い期間をイメージしながら生きていく動物がいないように。

しかし、人間には、偶然にも大きな前頭前野や理性が与えられているので、そのような長いスパンに何が起こるかをある程度考えることができるようになっている。

このブログでは、人間のあり方やサスティナビリティを中心にいろいろな観点で物事を考えて文章を書いていこうと思っている。それが何かの役に立つものなのか、ただの表現に過ぎないのかは、自分が評価するものでもないかと思う。

Although life is short, in modern terms, it spans about 100 years. During this time, there are many changes. From my personal experience, the climate during my childhood is very different from what it is now, and in terms of social and technological issues, we live in a world with chatbots like GPT and quantum computers.

In the future, we will likely encounter changes that would have been unimaginable a few decades ago, and humans will continue to live through these transformations.

If we focus on the negative aspects, each person will have to navigate their own lives while dealing with the damage caused by various mistakes humanity has made.

Essentially, as animals, humans are not equipped to think in terms of long spans like 100 or 1000 years. Just as there are no wild animals that live with such a long-term perspective.

However, humans have been given large frontal lobes and reason by chance, which allows us to consider what might happen over such extended periods.

In this blog, I plan to explore various perspectives on human nature and sustainability. Whether this writing will be useful or just a form of expression is something I will not judge.
