SAN DIEGO (AP) Quarterback Quinn Kaehler threw a 10 yard touchdown pass to Colin Lockett just inside the right pylon as San Diego State beat Boise State, 34 31, in overtime, Saturday night.

It was the Aztecs fourth overtime game this season, the most in the FBS and tied for most in FBS history. They are 3 1 in overtime this season, 7 2 all time.

Boise State's Dan Goodale, who missed a 43 yard field goal as time expired in regulation, booted a 35 yard field goal giving Boise State a 31 28 lead on the first set of downs in the overtime.

"We had chances, we definitely did," said Boise State coach Chris Tramon Williams Authentic Jersey Petersen. "We played poorly on offense certainly in the first half (49 total yards) and gave them a defensive touchdown. When you play an evenly matches team, those things are going to crush you."

The Aztecs moved down the field behind the running of Adam Muema before Kaehler hooked up with Locklett for the game winning score.

Lockett fumbled a kickoff that led to a Boise State touchdown that gave the Broncos a 21 14 lead in the third quarter.

"We just focus on things like that in workouts and on the practice field," Lockett said. Both teams are 7 4 on the season. San Diego State is 6 1 in the West Division of the Mountain West Conference that was won by Fresno State earlier in the day. Boise State is 5 2 in the Mountain Division, a game behind Utah State.

"I said earlier that (San Diego State) is probably the hottest team in the (Mountain West) right now," Peterson said. "They lost the first three (games) and then they go on a tear. They're a good team and made a play or two more than us."

When your professional team is pretty much the whole reason for your town (OK, let be fair, Green Bay does have one heck of an awesome cooking store), it more likely that you going to have an abundance of these restaurants.

When that the case, you need to have something that makes you stand out, whether it tradition, a gimmick, an athlete name attached to it or an all out dedication to your local team. Champions Bar and Grill, located in the shadow of Lambeau Field, goes with the last one. The large restaurant is covered with Packer jerseys and replica trophies, and it has made itself one of the premier places for fans who aren into tailgating, just want to be part of the atmosphere on a Packers gameday or want to head someplace nearby after watching the green and gold.

From the time you walk into the parking lot, you know you at a restaurant that focuses on football. The sign at Champions is set up to appear like it on a goal post, which is probably a necessary touch, given that it located almost next door to Brett Favre restaurant and it on Tony Canadeo Run. For those who have never been to Green Bay, almost every street within a mile of Lambeau Field is named after a former Packer, and the greatest honor a Packer can receive is to have a street named for him.

Near Tony Canadeo Run, which is named for a legendary Packers back from the 1940 you have Reggie White Way, Holmgren Way, Brett Favre Pass and of course,Vince Lombardi Avenue. No word on when Aaron Rodgers Drive gets put in, but that probably coming within the next 15 years.

Strangely, however, that no longer continues on the menu. At the time of my visit a few months ago, Champions named its burgers and other entrees after Packers greats, referencing their numbers with the meals. It was common to find entrees named after players like Bart Starr and Herb Adderley in the past, and Champions signature Packer Burger had Ray Nitschke 66 attached A.J. Hawk Green Jersey to it, saying would have destroyed this one! only one left now is Gilbert Brown Gravedigger Burger, which pretty much has Aaron Rodgers Womens Jersey to stay on after the fame it gained from Man vs. Food attempting to take down the 93 ounce behemoth, named for the massive lineman jersey number. If you haven had ham on a burger, it definitely worth trying out. Two different kinds of meat wouldn seem to work that well together on the sandwich, but it really does. The ham adds another layer of flavor and provides more juice than its cousin of bacon.

Juice isn a problem at Champions, however, because the burger is very juicy on its own. When you have a burger, juiciness is an important quality, because if it too dry, it going to rob it of its flavor and you be reaching for your drink after every bite, which ruins the taste. Not so at Champions. The tastes work well together, resulting in a burger worthy of the Packer name. Even a Bears fan could enjoy this one.

Besides the burgers, Champions features mostly standard sports bar fare, offering pizzas, sandwiches, soups, salads, appetizers and plenty of beers (this is Wisconsin, after all). They broken into categories with football terms, such as first downs (appetizers) and tackles (entrees), but again, all of them have standard names.

It kind of a shame that Champions seems to be having an identity crisis since owner Ron Enke gave way to new management, because it totally unnecessary. It a good restaurant loaded with Packers memorabilia that can own its status as a Packer bar, but it appears to be trying to split the difference between Packer haven and quality restaurant. Just let the food stand for itself and allow the creativity with the names, guys. You got a good product A.J. Hawk Youth Jersey here.

Last month, adjuncts at Tufts became the latest to join the 2.1 millionmember Service Employees International Union, which has been aggressively targeting college instructors. Adjuncts at Georgetown formed a union with SEIU in May, and parttime instructors at nearby American University joined the union last year.

SEIU now represents more than 18,000 members at 10 colleges and universities, compared with 14,000 five years ago. The union is preparing to file for elections at more colleges in the Los Angeles, Seattle and Boston areas.

Adjunct professors now make up more than half of all college faculty nationwide; in the 1970s, about 70 percent of college instructors were tenured professors or on a track to tenure.

Unlike full professors, most adjuncts earn just a few thousand dollars per class, with scant benefits and little job security.

"What started out decades ago as a way to supplement experience on college campuses by using adjunct professors has flipped," said Malini Cadambi, SEIU's national director of higher education. He earns less than $23,000 a year teaching three classes at GWU. By contrast, a full professor at the university earns an average salary of $156,000 a year, according to data compiled by the American Association of University Professors.

Lornell says conditions have improved since GWU adjuncts formed a union in 2006 and won a contract two years later. Salaries are 20 percent higher, and the university now pays minimum rates of $3,500 or $4,030, per 3credit course, depending on the lecturer's degree. The university also now has to go through certain procedures before deciding not to bring an instructor back.

"There's no question it's because of the union contract," Lornell said.

Higher education has been a rare bright spot in labor organizing in recent years Anthony Barr Purple Jersey as union membership has dwindled to 11.3 percent of the overall workforce and 6.6 percent in the private sector.

The American Federation of Teachers has added more than 50,000 new members in higher education since 2000. The majority of that growth has come in "contingent faculty," a category that includes parttime adjuncts, graduate assistants and fulltime nontenured faculty.

"We've identified this as one area we're going to put significant resources into," said Craig Smith, AFT's director of higher education.

Unions say they are not seeing quite as much pushback from colleges as they do in many privatesector union campaigns.

At Georgetown, administrators at the Jesuit university decided to take a neutral position on the union vote. But there was more resistance at Bentley University in Boston, where SEIU lost a unionization vote this month, 10098.

"We made it clear in our statement and in communications with faculty that Johnny Manziel Women Jersey we do not feel it is necessary to unionize," Bentley spokeswoman Johnny Manziel Kids Jersey Michele Walsh said. "We encouraged those faculty who agreed with this stance to vote accordingly."

Universities used to call on adjunct professors in mostly technical fields such as allied health, journalism or business to bring students more practical training. Many adjuncts still have fulltime jobs and teach a class on the side. But as tenuretrack positions decline, those who want to make teaching a fulltime career have to cobble together jobs at multiple colleges and universities to make ends meet.

Colleges are relying more on adjuncts to teach basic classes as cashstrapped state governments have reduced funding for public universities, said Adrianna Kezar, a professor of education at the University of Southern California who studies the role of adjunct faculty.

Private universities also are under pressure to keep skyrocketing tuition levels down. Universities like the flexibility that adjuncts offer to deal with the uncertainty of predicting student enrollment.

Bill Shimer, a parttime lecturer in management and organizational development at Northeastern University in Boston, said he never imagined being part of the union movement. "It's not that people want to unionize, but we really don't see any other way. There's nowhere to turn and nobody is looking out for us," said Shimer, who teaches five classes at Northeastern and two at another local university.

The university has responded by hiring a prominent law firm used by many corporations to discourage union organizing. Northeastern's provost, Stephen Director, sent a letter last summer warning parttime faculty about the impact of "ceding your rights" to negotiate with the university to "an outside organization which is unfamiliar with our culture."

Kezar said critics of labor unions argue that they aren't always supportive of evaluations, which play an important role at many schools in the decision to rehire. Unions consider protecting teachers' interests first, and don't always consider student interests as strongly, she said.

Unions argue that having wellcompensated faculty with more training leads to better education for students.
