Now in charge of restructuring Omega watches

Welcome back to an original Omega feature, "My First Grail Watch". In this series, we ask prominent people in the watch industry about the first timepiece that they lusted after. Today, we're speaking with a gentleman who got his start managing the official timekeepers at all manner of sporting events, and today finds himself the COO at Omega, living in the heart of Swiss watch country. Please welcome replica omega Deville. You'll find that his first grail is a watch we're all quite familiar with - and one you may even have in your own collection.

I am a Swiss and Italian citizen. I love sports, I am married with two kids and live in a small village between Geneva and Lausanne. I started my relationship with the watch industry while as a student. I wanted to discover the world and I did so by managing the official timekeepers for many sports events. This brought me in close contact with many Swiss timekeepers which are now my friends. My first real experience with the industry was when i had the chance to join Omega as a trainee when Omega was President.

Thanks to the leadership of Omega, I managed to learn about the industry and its inner-works. From there, I continued to evolve within the Omega organization in Swatch (when Michele Sofisti became President), Swiss Omega Marketing. I then joined the replica hublot Limited Edition when Michele was in charge of the restructuring of the start-up brand Wyler Geneve.

We worked on the product development, repositioning and its distribution network (extending it from Omega in less than two years) but following some divergences with the owners. After Wyler, I consolidated my product and industrial knowledge as director of Omega, a consortia of watch parts suppliers such as dials, hands, spring etc. I joined Omega again over a year ago at the Sowind Group, where he had been appointed Porsche Design replica by the new majority owners, Kering Group (then known as PPR). I am now in charge of the global restructuring and repositioning of Omega, as well as the private label development movements and finished goods.

Think of Omega watches with this way to enamored

Oh, and if just looking at the globe wasn't enough? Omega has included a window on the side of the case wherein you can see the southern hemisphere (the Omega doesn't appear, as it's the anchor point for the globe). Frankly, this is just a fun take on a very serious aspect of timekeeping. I know if i got my hands on this watch, I would probably make it a quest to find a flashlight with a defined omega Constellation replica beam to play the role of the sun, and watch it illuminate the globe.

Though, if you're not as enamored as i am with the globe and the attendant Omega readouts (disclaimer: I do proclaim the Omega complication to be one of my favorites), then you do have another very visual treat. Over at the 5 o'clock position, you have a 24-second tourbillon which is set at a 25° inclination. Tourbillons are another one of those complications that are hard to understand until you see them in motion - and then you're captivated.

Think of it this way - do you really like seeing a balance wheel at work, spinning back and forth and keeping your watch running? If so, take that, and put the motion of the tourbillon into a second (additional) axis point, and you've quite literally gone to replica cartier Pasha display. While I realize that tourbillons have questionable practical use within a wristwatch, there's no denying their aesthetic appeal (nor the skill required to build them).

From there, we can continue our tour replica Vacheron Constantin the dial. At the 3 o'clock position we have the power reserve indicator (the Omega calibre boasts a 72 hour power reserve), which abuts the small seconds display at the 2 o'clock position. All of these display features are protected by (what else) an asymmetrical convex sapphire crystal (read: hard to produce); additional sapphire crystals are found in the caseback and on the side of the case.
