Italian sausage leftovers: 10 Recipes that go be

(Image:http://www.jecicadress.com/evening-dresses-dublin-c_13/)

One of my absolute favorite ways to save money when shopping for groceries is to take a look at the weekly deals. I'm not one to buy something just because it's on sale, but I turn into a giddy mess when one of my favorite products is up for grabs.

Which is why, of course, I ended up with a few too many packages of sweet Italian sausage this week. As I'm sure you would too, the first thing I opted to make was a sausage and pasta dish. And man, did my sausage and broccoli rabe bowties pasta turn out well! But now what?

When it comes to using up my leftover Italian sausage, I didn't really want to go for another pasta dish. And although I'm a big fan of freezing certain foods to help them last longer, I wanted to have my sausage fresh. Typically I love to use sausage in breakfast dishes, like an egg and potato scramble or some paleo-friendly sausage and egg muffins. But I didn't want to wait until the weekend to make something special. No, I needed a great (and easy) weeknight recipe today.

First, I remembered a friend telling me about a cheesy sweet potato casserole with vegetarian sausage, which I would, of course, substitute with my sweet Italian sausage instead. Then, briefly, I considered making something a little healthier, like a quinoa, green bean and sausage bake or maybe a spinach and sausage couscous dish. I even considered making some super-simple skinny Italian sausage and peppers but ultimately decided I wanted something heartier.

At first I thought about making some sausage cheddar balls. How good would those be served on some skewers with grilled veggies? But ultimately it's not quite the season for them. Then I drooled over sausage-stuffed kabocha squash. Though with squash not being in season at the moment, I opted to bookmark this recipe for later. In the end, I knew exactly what I was craving: sausage pizza tacos!

Seriously, who doesn't love tacos?

I think I could eat them all day, every day, and I love that this is a creative way to combine Italian flavors in a Mexican dish. Food mashups can often be the best part of cooking, and these sausage pizza tacos are sure to be nothing short of amazing.

At the very least, I know I won't get bored with all my sweet Italian sausage leftovers. And I know you won't either.

James Corden's crazy laugh and 5 more things Twi

(Image:Jecicadress Evening Dresses Dublin)

James Corden may have been a relative unknown in the United States before being chosen to host the Late Late Show, but now that he's made his big debut, the internet is abuzz over him as the delightful new presence on late-night TV.

Corden's first night as Craig Ferguson's replacement proved to be wildly entertaining, and Twitter has dubbed it a success. While we don't always hold the same opinion as Twitter users, we're going to have to go ahead and agree with them on this one.

Here are some of the things people are raving about from Monday's show, and evidence to back up the claims of Corden's greatness.

1. He's humble
While introducing himself, Corden talked sweetly about his family (mom's impending boob job and all), thanked his new bandleader, Reggie Watts, and seemed very genuine while expressing his appreciation for being picked to host the show. He also managed to say confident yet unpretentious through the remainder of the taping.

2. He held his own next to Tom Hanks
Being that Hanks is one of the most beloved actors of his time, accompanying him through a journey of all his most famous roles in eight minutes had to be at least a little bit intimidating. Corden hilariously whizzed through the bit and even gave Jimmy Kimmel, who is known for working the stage like a madman, a run for his money in the cardio endurance department.

3. He's got potential
While it's common knowledge that most late-night fans are still mourning the loss of Ferguson's exit from the show, many Twitter users agreed they found some consolation in the fact that Corden seems to be the right person to fill Ferguson's shoes. Judging by the star-studded skit explaining how he got chosen as host, Twitter users aren't the only ones who are confident in Corden. I mean, he's even got Meryl Streep's blessing, for crying out loud.

4. He already scored a major scoop
Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are known for keeping things private, but somehow Corden pretty much got Kunis to admit that she and Kutcher already tied the knot. The words on her lips might have been "maybe," but the look in her eye screamed, "Yes, I'm married." Kunis must have felt comfortable with Corden to even allude to the fact that she had a secret wedding.

5. He's got a voice
To end the night, Corden bid adieu to his audience by singing an enchanting little ditty. What more could you ask for after a wonderful evening with Tom Hanks and Mila Kunis?

6. That laugh
While some Twitter users found Corden's laugh to be like nails on a chalkboard, most found it amazing, and we're reminded of the cackle of another British treasure, Ricky Gervais. The similarity is uncanny.

12 Of the most subtly infuriating things your ki

But there is another wise saying that rings true about parenthood: No one can drive you crazy like your kids.

I've been parenting two toddler boys for a little over three years, and I am fully aware that I am slowly going crazy. On the one hand, I know that these are the best years of my life and I'm trying to enjoy every moment. On the other hand, I'm fairly sure my kids know what they are doing when they push my buttons.

Some may call it coincidence, but there are 12 specific times when your child will make your blood boil.

1. Ask the same question 21 times in a row without stopping
Any parent can tell you — you wait years for your new baby to talk, and when he finally does, he'll never shut up again.

2. Look you straight in the eye as they throw food on the floor
My kids are so, so good at this one. Every meal I have cooked from scratch has ended up on the floor as my toddler stares me down from his high chair.

3. Insist on eating only carrots for a week and then suddenly change their mind
Now what am I going to do with 3 pounds of carrots? Carrot cake, anyone?

4. Get sick on your birthday
The one day that is all about me, ruined by a bug passed around at day care.

5. Get you sick on your birthday
Laid up in bed with tissues stuffed in my nose is not how I pictured I would spend most birthdays in my 30s. Thanks a lot, kids.

6. Rub their snotty face on your shirt as they give you a hug
How can you be mad when your kids are giving you a hug? It seems even more suspicious when they want to hug you when there isn't any Kleenex around.

7. "Lose" your favorite necklace
My kids have a penchant for dropping things off the porch. Pretty sure every item I've ever loved is under there right now.

8. Only scream when you are on the phone
Here's the scene: Playing quietly with LEGOs all afternoon until the dentist calls to confirm my appointment. In those 30 seconds, I can't hear myself think.

9. Conveniently forget to tell you about homework, cupcakes or another assignment due that day
Safe to say that there has been no kid in the history of ever who has remembered to tell his parent about a deadline on time. Yes, you'll probably be that mom checking out the day-old baked goods rack at Walmart at 2 a.m. at least once in your life.

10. Accidentally deprogram all of your prime-time shows on the DVR
If you make me miss American Idol one more time, there will be hell to pay.

11. Poop in the bath and splash water on you
This is one of the most hated things my children have ever done to me. The worst part is, it has happened more than once. The very worst part is, they think it's hilarious.

12. Slip through your arms like a greased pig after you put lotion on them at bath time
Getting both of my sons to bed after oiling them up at bath time has become a superhuman feat. I never imagined that every evening of my parenting life would be spent trying to catch my slippery kids and throw them into bed.

10 rules to eating healthy without annoying all

(Image:http://www.jecicadress.com/evening-dresses-dublin-c_13/)

Hello, my name is Bethany, and I am a clean eater. There is one important thing I have learned in my years of #cleaneating, and it is not how to live to the age of 100. It is how not to piss off your friends with your annoying healthy lifestyle.

Here's the thing. I am borderline obsessed with clean eating, exercise and supplements because I love how they make me feel and how easy it has been to lose post-baby weight. But, just like any other fundamental religion, I know by now that most people don't want to hear it — especially when they are about to bite into a nice, juicy burger.

If you are a fellow health fanatic, here are 10 ways to live clean without turning everyone against you:

1. Follow the rules of Fight Club
The first rule of clean eating is: You do not talk about clean eating. No matter what unholy, processed pile of crap your friend puts in her mouth, you keep your trap shut.

2. Do not talk about kale
This will give you away immediately. I love kale so much that I drink three green smoothies a day, but do you think anyone in my life wants to hear about it? Kale screams superiority. Keep this "clean" little secret to yourself.

3. Do not talk about what's "in that"
"Do you know what's in that?" Most people are well aware that hot dogs are made of chicken lips and pig buttholes, but they eat 'em anyway because it makes them happy. Pick your battles.

4. Do not "like" the Cooking Quinoa Facebook page
Don't you know that all of your friends see your Facebook activity? Cooking Quinoa already has over 100,000 likes. They will survive without you.

5. Do not humble brag on social media
Here's the perfect litmus test: If your post includes #cleaneating, you've gone too far.

6. Do not invite your friends to a juicing seminar
This is the equivalent of inviting a friend of a different religion to your church on Sunday — again and again and again. Clean eating evangelism is not a good look.

7. Refrain from taking pictures of your food
This is a tempting one, since everyone and their mom snaps shots of what's for dinner. But, line up your tofu kelp salad next to your bestie's Hamburger Helper on Instagram and you have essentially gifted her a cloak of shame.

8. Be open minded about where you eat
Your friends are going to straight up murder you if you make them eat at a vegan restaurant again. Eat before you go out, check nutrition facts online or plan a cheat meal once a week. Everybody wins.

9. Wipe that smug smile off your face
Clean eating makes me feel smug too — I get it. Practice using a normal facial expression when nibbling on gluten-free pizza or get used to eating lunch alone.

10. Join a support group
By now, you are saying: "But, surely there is a time and a place to talk about clean eating? If I can't share my secret healthy lifestyle with my loved ones, then who can I talk to?" The answer is — the internet. There are literally thousands of forums on clean living, health, bodybuilding, you name it. Join one and pester people who really care.

New injectables promise to super charge your sex

(Image:Jecicadress Evening Dresses Dublin)

A new injection available for both men and women promises to turbo charge the sensation in a man's penis and a woman's clitoris, promising better sex than ever. If you can stomach doing it.

The Priapus shot costs about $1,500 and is supposed to initiate tissue and blood vessel growth that brings greater sensation to the area. Read: Better orgasms. The treatment takes about half an hour and is supposed to be permanent. Not bad, right?

The shots are becoming so popular, they were even in the gift baskets given out at the Academy Awards. Weird, but kind of cool, right? They also promise to make penises even bigger.

Generally speaking, I think plastic surgery and injectables are a bad thing. After all, why not just be happy with ourselves as we are? We were made this way for a reason. But in this case, I can kind of support it. Because sexual dysfunction is a serious problem.

The inability to orgasm (or difficulty in doing so) would affect every aspect of one's life. In marriage, it might mean less sex, which could lead to less happiness overall. Sex is a stress reliever, an anti-aging shot and an anti-depressant. And it's not just about intercourse. The orgasm is part of it.

Sadly, for many people, getting to orgasm is difficult to impossible. So why not give those people a little boost? If someone's life can be improved by a simple shot, I say why not?

Most happy couples credit this for how they met

(Image:Evening Dresses Dublin)

If you think every other couple you meet has met online, then it only seems that way. A new study from Mic shows that even though it seems like everyone and their brother is on Tinder, people are actually meeting more the old fashioned way. Cool, right?

The Mic study took a look at 2,373 people and found that, among 18- to 34-year-olds, 39 percent met their significant others "through friends in common," closely followed by 22 percent who said they met "out in a social setting." This means that old-fashioned chemistry is still a lot more powerful than online words.

But who didn't already know this?

I am a couple years older than the older end of that spectrum, but I met my husband back in elementary school. When we got back together in our 20's, it was really the perfect time. Our relationship moved much faster because we were already somewhat enmeshed. We'd known each other for years. So when it came time to get engaged and married, we probably moved at a faster clip than most. But why not?

Chemistry is something that can't be faked over the Internet. We all know that. But many couples who met online are happy. So does this mean that there is one superior way to meet? I don't think so. But it does mean that chemistry is still something that happens more in person.

Besides, a friend of a friend is a friend, indeed.

Chloë Sevigny throws major shade at Jennifer Law

(Image:http://www.jecicadress.com/evening-dresses-dublin-c_13/)

Apparently, Chloë Sevigny is not a fan of the saying, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all," because the actress was quick to put Jennifer Lawrence down in a recent interview.

Sevigny made it clear she isn't on the JLaw train during her interview in the spring issue of V magazine.

The Hunger Games starlet came up in conversation because Sevigny was discussing how she believes you need to have a "big personality" in order to make it in Hollywood, which is why she could never be an "A-lister." (But with an Oscar nomination and a host of TV and movie roles under her belt, including Big Love and American Horror Story, we'd say the actress is doing just fine. But, I digress...)

In Sevigny's defense, she started on a positive note, "I love when a movie star is a great movie star," she told the magazine. "I think Angelina Jolie is a great movie star."

She also added that she loves Emma Stone because "whenever she's herself, she's really cute."

But when it comes to Lawrence, Sevigny isn't feeling it. At all.

"Jennifer Lawrence I find annoying," Sevigny explained. "Too crass."

It's unclear if Sevigny is talking generally about what she's seen in the actress during public appearances and movies or if she's actually met Lawrence before.

Ironically, Sevigny recognizes that she doesn't have what it takes to make everyone love her, saying it's probably why she "never reached another level" in her career.

"They'll have a really peppy funny girl on the talk show rounds, and everybody adores her and loves her and wants to be her or f*** her, and then so many more people want to watch the movie or TV show."

And while Lawrence may not be Sevigny's cup of tea, she seems to fit the above quote just perfectly, so we're not exactly sure the point Sevigny was trying to make other than to just make it clear she isn't a JLaw fan.

Key and Peele want to see a female nighttime tal

They had a lot to say about women in comedy and why political satire is important.

You may remember Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele from their years on Mad TV, but now they're starring in the fifth season of their hit sketch show Key and Peele. Both comedians are highly intelligent and love to break the rules every chance they get. It's their sharp wit and willingness to tackle controversial topics such as President Obama and jihadists that make them stand out.

We spoke to the duo on the red carpet of Paleyfest's Salute to Comedy Central in Hollywood. We asked the pair why Dakota Johnson got called out for doing an SNL sketch about joining ISIS when Key and Peele satirize terrorism all the time. Though they're not sure why Johnson got so battered in the media, Key commended Johnson's bravery and thinks addressing these difficult topics through comedy is very important — but it can also be tricky.

"Everybody processes information differently. Some people need that kind of edgy comedy as a salve, and other people are never going to get the joke. Some people still say, 'You can't tell a joke about Kennedy.' That's one of the comedy rules — no jokes about Kennedy, ever."

But Key also thinks that some audiences really appreciate looking at such an intense topic from another point of view. "Some people can say, 'Oh, I never thought about looking at it that other way. The terrorists are misled, deranged, but what's weird is that they are humans,'" said Key, before making a quick aside about how he's probably going to get grief for calling terrorists "human." He clarified his statement.

"Well, they do have an endocrine system and cerebellums, so they're actually humans, but that's not anything anyone's thinking about. My hope would be that the people who can get something from [this type of comedy] do — other people, the moment they're being offended, they should just walk away and find another way to deal with this scourge that's come into our world."

With their comedy career on the rise, we had to ask Key and Peele when they think we'll see a woman host a late-night talk show.

"If it were up to me, it would be yesterday," said Key. He continued, "I think somehow, and I hate to say it, but it's monetary. When networks stop saying women don't make them as much money — but they are making them as much money! The networks just aren't paying them as much money. But someone has got to figure out women are making them as much money. So, it's prejudice."

I'm very, very happy for her… [But] it's a little disheartening to know that there are only two of us."

You'd be wrong if you thought that the reason Ferrera was upset was based purely on award shows, though; it's something much more serious that she takes issue with: She believes Hollywood still fails to see the diversity that exists in the world we live in.

"The problem isn't in the awards. It's not a Golden Globes problem, it's not an award ceremony problem," Ferrera explained. "It's a creation of content issue. We need more in art and entertainment that is reflective of the world that we live in. And there's just not enough reflection in it for women, for people of color. There's still a huge amount of stories that have yet to be told, and we need those voices to find those platforms so that they can share those experiences."

Ferrera went on to explain that as someone who watches entertainment shows, she takes the lack of diversity very personally.

"As an audience member, I take it very personally. I take it extremely personally when I watch," she said "I'm a huge lover of television and of film — I have been my whole life — and when there's too much of the same thing and not enough to reflect the world that I live in, I take it personally."

Ferrera makes some very thought-provoking points, which were similar to Michelle Rodriguez's comments last week about Hollywood being lazy.
