　このまつりは１９９２年に「地元らしい特色あるものを」と始められ、今年で２３回目。いたるところで歴史に名を残した小田原ちょうちんをシンボルに使用している。

　今年は特別企画として、石垣を含めて高さ４０メートル近い天守閣に色鮮やかな光を当て、万華鏡の世界のような模様を映し出す「デジタル掛軸（かけじく）」を、両日とも日没から午後１０時まで実施した。いつもとは趣の異なるきらびやかな天守閣が夜空に出現し、観客を魅了した。

川崎市宮前区水沢の市立稗原小学校で二十日、児童の父親たちが主催する恒例の「ひえばらキャンプ」があり、児童や保護者約三百五十人が参加した。

　防災について考えてもらう狙いで今年で七回目。宮前消防署の協力による起震車や煙ハウスに加え、牛乳パックを使って調理するサバイバル術の体験も。また、電気の配線や料理など随所にお父さんたちのスキルがいかされるイベントだ。

　ＮＰＯ法人「あかい屋根」や学校後援会「ひえばら会」も協力し、プール遊びや縁日、校舎を使った肝試しもある盛りだくさんな内容。大人も子どもも夢中になって遊んだ。

　「プールが楽しかった」と一年生の南條楓太君（６つ）。父親の英典さん（４３）は「子どもと一緒に参加できるのでとても楽しい」と話していた。希望者は、体育館などで避難所宿泊体験もした。

　キャンプの様子を見ながら、植平公子校長は「父親と母親の両方で学校を支えてくださっている。いろいろな人が子どもを見守ってくれるので、安心感があり、とてもありがたい」と感謝していた。

　　反省しているつもりが、いつの間にか自分を責めていることに転じてしまう悩み方もあまり生産的とは言えない。逆に、責任を誰かにすぐ転嫁しようとする人がいる。そういう人は自分が理詰めでものを考えていると錯覚しているから、なおのこと質が悪い。

　　考える力を身につけるには、まず、物事をありのままに受け入れる姿勢を養わなければならない。次に感情に流されずに、原因を冷静に見極める必要がある。そのためには、多角的な視点から物事をとらえる癖をつけなければならない。

　月給関係の調査では、希望の平均月収が4357元だったのに対し、実際の契約額は平均3945元と、希望額を412元下回った。13年と比べると、希望額はやや減少しているのに対し、実際の額はやや上昇している。

　しかし、同じく今年の卒業予定者を対象にした「月給に関する希望はかないましたか？」という調査で、「光栄にもかなった」との回答はわずか 5.75％にとどまり、37％が「足を引っ張ってしまった」と答えた。また、57.25％が「卒業後数年たっても希望平均額に達していない人は悲しすぎ る」との見方を示している。

　専門家「学習期間に3-7年の幅を」

　中国社会科学院社会学研究所の研究員、李春玲氏は、「卒業予定者に人気がある業界のうち、IT関係は、長年上位にランクされている。また、近 年、銀行や保険、証券などの金融業界も人気を集めるようになっている。これは、中国経済が転換期にあり、金融関係に発展の見込みがあることと関係がある」 と分析している。

　一方、横浜市に次いで物価が高いのは東京都区部の１０５・９だった。

　日本では宮崎猛創価大教職研究科教授の研究室が事務局となり、ゼミ学生らが大会運営や高校生への助言を担った。今回は二校が参加し、一校四人のチームで練り上げたアイデアを発表した。

　都立練馬高校（練馬区春日町）は、区内の保育園や幼稚園と連携し、地域内で親子が一緒にごみ拾いをして、終了後に親睦会を開くというイベントを提案。地域の美化に対する意識が高まり、住民同士の交流も進むといった効果があるとした。

　都立国際高校（目黒区駒場）は、フィリピンで初等教育の中退率が高いことに着目し、貧困家庭の子どもは満足な昼食を取れないことも中退の一因と考えた。そこで飲料メーカーに協力を求め、消費者が野菜ジュースを買うと、収益の一部がフィリピンで農作物を栽培する資金に充てられ、収穫した農作物を学校給食へ提供するというプランを示した。

　宮崎教授は「高校生の主体性を大事にして場と環境を与えれば、あれだけのことができることが分かりました」と振り返った。また、高校生たちを支援してきた宮崎ゼミＯＧの本多由佳さん（２２）は「未知のことへ挑戦する勇気が得られました」と満足そうに話した。

　「最近は費用を抑えたいとの思いから、家族葬が増えている」と話すのは、葬祭業者でつくる全日本葬祭業協同組合連合会の浜名雅一副会長。家族葬は祭壇を小さくしたり、料理を減らしたりすることで費用は少額になる。ただ、町内会などに周知する一般的な葬儀と違い、寄せられる香典が少なく、収支がマイナスになることもあるという。

　浜名さんによると、父親と母親を続けて亡くした依頼者は、父親の葬儀は町内会に周知したが、母親の時は知らせず、祭壇も半分にした。結局は母親の時の方が負担は多かったという。「相互扶助で成り立つ本来の日本の葬儀は、合理的にできている」と話す。

　さらに周知しないと、訃報を知った人がばらばらの時間に弔問に来るため、ずっと家にいる必要が出てくる。浜名さんは各家庭の事情に合わせ、いろいろな業者に事前相談するよう勧めている。

　日消協は一月、葬儀についてのアンケート結果を公表した。全国の千六百十八人から回答を得た。通夜や告別式をせず、火葬のみとする「直葬」の考え方では、「故人の希望なら仕方ない」（３８・９％）と、「あまりにも味気ない」（３８・６％）が、ほぼ同じくらいあった。故人の思いを優先したい一方で、「それでいいのだろうか」という思いも垣間見える。

　自由記述の回答では、家族葬が増えて亡くなったことを地域の人たちが知らされないこともあり、「近所のつながりが薄らいでいく寂しさを感じる」との意見もあった。

　このほか「葬儀を経験して困ったこと（重複回答）」について、「心付けやお布施の額」（３７％）、「通夜・告別式の接待の仕方や手配」（２６・６％）、「葬儀の手順がわからなかった」（２５・７％）の順で多かった。
