Takumi-kun Series: Ano Hareta Aozora (movie) ~ 3

Finally, part 3 of my detailed summary of Ano Hareta Aozora! Barring word limits, this should be the last part!

Back in Takumi and Misu's room, Misu returns, disappointed that Gii isn't there, since he wanted to interrupt them flirting after making up from their fight. Takumi is quiet on the subject. He tells Misu he's going out on Sunday - Misu says Takumi doesn't need permission from him. Misu surmises that Takumi and Gii had been fighting because they were going to go on a date on Sunday, but Gii wouldn't be able to because of the tournament. Takumi says it's something like that, and decides to go to bed. He thinks to himself that it was more than just a date, like Misu thinks, but wonders if Gii didn't understand the importance of that day to Takumi, and how much it means to him.

The next day, Misu is in the Student Affairs Office and makes up some excuse about needing to check the list of people who requested leave on Sunday as part of his student council duties for the tournament. The guy says it's fine because Misu is just sooooo smooth. Misu finds Takumi's request, and sees that it wasn't for a date after all, but to visit his brother's grave. He then looks forward a few sheets. Back in their room, Takumi looks out the window at the rain, and then closes the curtain.

Takumi opens the curtain on a new day, where the rain has stopped and the sun is shining. Sunday, June 15. Misu is getting dressed and asks Takumi when he's leaving, and whether he and Gii are still fighting. Takumi says that the fight was mostly just because he got mad. Misu says that he won't let Gii move forward in the snooker tournament. While they talk, there are a few cuts to the start of the tournament itself - we get some REALLY INTENSE ZOOMS as they get ready, and then it is revealed that Gii's opponent in the first round is Misu!

At the same time, Takumi has arrived at the train station, and sits down to wait. Back to the conversation while getting dressed, Misu says that Gii's request for permission (some excuse about needing to go to his father's company) was submitted before Gii asked Takumi if he could go, and has not been redacted. Gii still wants to go no matter what. Misu asks Takumi what train he has to ride, and Takumi says that the latest he can wait is for the train at 11:30, but when it comes, he's getting on it with or without Gii. Misu says he understands, and asks if he can tell Gii about this. Takumi agrees. Misu says this is Gii's third treat.

Back to the snooker tournament/Takumi waiting at the station. Someone asks what snooker is, and Akaike, ever the Exposition-kun, explains that it is similar to billiards/pool. Gii and Misu begin their match.

At the train station, Takumi remembers what happened after he fainted in the flashback with Akaike and the letter (this is directly from June Pride). Takumi is lying on the bed in a light red t-shirt and jeans, unconscious after his anemic fainting spell. Slowly he wakes up and realizes he's in his room. He hears the door open and lies back down, pretending to be asleep. Keep in mind that Takumi fainting comes after the fight he had with Gii, with the both of them in their room late at night and Gii asking why nothing has changed between them. Anyway, Gii comes in with a tray of food and sets it on the desk. Gii approaches Takumi's bed and sits down, murmuring, "Takumi, don't wake up just yet." He leans down and kisses Takumi, who starts to respond. Takumi shoves Gii off of him, asking what Gii has in mind and telling him he doesn't like what Gii's doing. Gii pins him to the bed by his wrists and says that he won't let him say he doesn't like this. He tells Takumi that this is the best and only way (to cure Takumi's phobia), and begins kissing Takumi.

Sakusha opinions

Now, this was the part that made my friend turn to me after the movie and ask, "So... what was up with the part where Gii basically raped Takumi?" I have had to think about it, and cross-reference it with the manga, in order to not be completely horrified by Gii's actions. I think what he does here is wrong, and I think that intentions in no way excuse actions, but I don't think his intention was to hurt or force Takumi.

In the manga, when Gii kisses him, Takumi realizes he slips up, because he responds positively to the kiss. He mentions later in that chapter that he would sometimes respond positively to what Naoto did to him, which was met with Naoto's disgust. It's not that Takumi doesn't want to be physically intimate with Gii, but that he's worried Gii will find out that it is not his first time, and he will have to reveal his past with Naoto, which in his mind will make Gii disgusted with him and leave him. He's more worried that he does enjoy it.

For Gii's point of view, I think it is telling that Gii is so insistent that Takumi doesn't hate people, but is just bad at dealing with them. With that kiss, Gii realized that Takumi does enjoy intimacy, but that his lack of social graces keeps him closed off and unable to express his desires. Since Gii doesn't know of Takumi's past with Naoto forcing himself on Takumi, he probably sees this as immersion therapy - plunging Takumi into physical intimacy in order to cure his phobia, instead of a little at a time. He couldn't know that Takumi would be upset when thinking about his brother and their past.

This is, of course, just what I think is going on. I also do not believe it condones Gii's actions in any way, since the best way would have been talking to Takumi about this when they aren't fighting. But even though I disagree with his actions and think this could have turned out extremely badly, I don't think Gii is a completely horrible person. I think he just made a bad decision (like he does... a lot). Feel free to disagree, of course! Let me know your opinions.

End of sakusha opinions - back to the summary

At the train station, the time is 10:35 and a train has arrived. The doors open, but Takumi does not get on. He continues to wait. Back at the snooker tournament, Misu is kicking ass but Gii seems to be evenly matched, foiling even Misu's more cunning snooker strategies. 11:05, and another train comes and leaves.

Finally, they're down to the last ball. Misu hits it... and it goes in! Misu is the victor! Gii waits all of two seconds for the match to be declared over before bolting out of the room and running faster than Giis can run. Takumi, meanwhile, has stood up and is waiting, since the next train is the last one - he has to ride this train.

In the flashback, Gii and Takumi are in bed, their clothes off, and Takumi is protesting. Gii asks if Takumi really hates being embraced by him that much, and trails kisses down his chest. Takumi protests again with the moe-est little, "I can't-" I have ever heard. Gii leans down and whispers Takumi's name by his ear - which was the complete wrong thing to do, because Takumi has frightening flashback to Naoto whispering his name in just the same way. Takumi tenses up, squeezing his hands into fists.

In the present, the last train is approaching the station. Takumi watches it approach, and his eyes widen in surprise. There is Gii, keeping pace with the train as he runs like wildfire towards the station! Gii makes it through the turnstile in time and runs up to Takumi, yelling his name with a huge smile. Takumi stands there in shock, starting to tear up as Gii grabs his arm and pulls him onto the train.

Takumi is lying beneath Gii in the flashback, tense and panting. Gii sees how scared Takumi is and covers his clenched fist with a hand. Takumi opens his eyes, and Gii smiles down at him, saying, "What a face to make." (Er... not helping my "you don't mean to be creepy" theory there, Gii.)

On the train, an out of breath Gii tells Takumi that his opponent in the tournament was Misu. Takumi remembers saying that Gii was getting his third treat, and realizes that's what he meant (aww, Misu is nice in this movie!). He thanks Gii for keeping his promise to go with him, and rests his head on Gii's shoulder.

"What a face to make." Takumi blinks, wide-eyed, up at Gii, slowly reaching his hands up to touch Gii's shoulder blades, and pulls him down. He realizes the person embracing him is Gii, and immediately relaxes, kissing Gii. The rain outside the dorm slows. "Hayama Naoto." Takumi starts explaining about his brother, nestled in Gii's arms. Naoto was smart and handsome, similar to Gii, despite having a different character, in that he was someone everyone admired. Takumi's parents adored him. But then he got strange. He wanted to touch different parts of Takumi's body. Gii looks genuinely pained when he hears about this, holding Takumi tighter. "Didn't you resist?" he asks. "I didn't... I couldn't. It wasn't just a matter of physical strength... my brother saved me." Mao does a really great job with this scene, quiet and distant but still obviously upset and wounded. Then he tells Gii of that day when his mother came home and Naoto blamed Takumi for everything. That his parents didn't realize the truth until a year later, when Takumi had stopped caring for everything. "Do you resent him? Even now?" Gii asks. "Yeah... probably. But... Gii, do you hate me now?" Gii smiles, holding Takumi close. "Did I not say I love you?"

The flashback changes to the first time Takumi went to visit his brother's grave. Gii walks him to the bus stop and tells him to go. Then Gii notices something, which Takumi sees is a small patch of blue sky after the days and days of rain. A small ray of hope.

In voice over, Takumi says that Gii helped him go to his brother's grave, and it was there that he learned that Naoto wanted to apologize to Takumi for what he had done. The scene shifts between the past - one year ago, when Takumi first visited the grave - and the present - where Takumi and Gii are there together - and shows Takumi laying flowers on Naoto's grave. In voice over he says he doesn't resent Naoto any more. He's there with Gii, with the person he loves now, so Naoto won't have to worry about him either. In the present there are already flowers on the grave, from Takumi's parents. Hayama Naoto: 1989-2008 the marker reads. Takumi and Gii both pray over the grave. When they finish, they stand up and start walking back through the sunlit woods. Gii takes Takumi's hand and promises to come with Takumi to visit the grave every year. Next year, and the year after that, and every year after that. Even if Takumi is able to come with his parents, Gii also wants to go with them. Next year, and the year after that, and every year. Together.

The scene fades out into the credits.

After the credits, Takumi and Gii are riding back on the train. Takumi is sleeping with his head on Gii's shoulder, and he remembers when Gii said that he knew Takumi when Takumi was the real Takumi. And he's loved him ever since that moment. Takumi smiles softly in his sleep and murmurs, "Gii."

The end! Thank you for your patience in reading through all of this. I hope it will be somewhat satisfactory until the movie becomes available on DVD!

Takumi-kun Series: Ano Hareta Aozora (movie) ~ 2

Here is part 2 of my detailed summary of Ano Hareta Aozora. I hope you will enjoy it!

With Takumi's flashback over, we get another one from Gii! Gii, in the present, is sitting in his dorm room studying. He looks out the window briefly before tipping his head back in his chair (Daisuke has a very nice neck). This flashback is definitely fromJune Pride. Takumi and Gii are in their dorm room, and Takumi wakes up in the middle of the night. He hasn't been sleeping well lately, and has had insomnia. Gii and Takumi have a discussion of what it means for Gii to say he loves Takumi - he asks Takumi if he knows what that means. Takumi says, "Oh, this is your 'what man in this world would be satisfied not being able to touch the one he loves' thing again, isn't it?" Gii gets upset, saying that even though Takumi claims he understands, and that he says he loves Gii, Takumi hasn't changed at all. Takumi says that he's changed a lot! Gii, still upset, says they shouldn't be fighting late at night, and tells Takumi to go to sleep. Gii's flashback ends.

In the present, Takumi returns to room 270, where Misu is studying. Misu tells Takumi not to get too close to Shingyouji, revealing how jealous he is of their friendship. Takumi tells Misu he shouldn't have worried Shingyouji about RinRin, and asks why Misu is jealous when he and Shingyouji aren't lovers. He then muses aloud that Shingyouji probably doesn't have anyone but himself to talk to about his adoration for Misu. Misu mentions that Shingyouji is his possession (a line echoed in Pure). Misu decides to take a walk (perhaps to Shingyouji's room??) and Takumi is left alone to change out of school clothes and into an adorable pink sweatshirt.

Takumi looks at the letter from his mother, and the train ticket she included in case he wants to go to his brother's grave. He says, "Well, I guess it's okay," and walks up the stairs to Gii's room. Some freshmen are discussing their tests, and Takumi stands outside of room 300, too nervous to knock. He mentally berates himself for coming that far and then not being able to knock. He wonders if he should just go back to his room. Fortunately, a helpful freshman says that Gii's in his room, he saw him go in there a little while ago! Takumi thanks him, then turns to go, but Helpful Freshman just won't stop being helpful! He knocks on the door and tells Saki-senpai that there's someone to see him! :D Takumi is very flustered. Helpful Freshman leaves, happy in the knowledge that he did a good deed! Gii tells Takumi not to let the freshmen hit on him, and then pushes Takumi into his room.

Minoiwa is in Gii's room, sitting at his couch. He says hello and then suddenly remembers something totally urgent that he simply must attend to right away. Minoiwa, you know how to read a room. XD After he leaves, Gii tells Takumi to sit on the couch and asks if he wants coffee. Before filling the cup, Gii takes off his glasses. He sits next to Takumi on the couch and strokes Takumi's cheek with the back of his hand. Takumi asks if it's really okay for him to be here alone with Gii. Gii says that he was alone with Minoiwa a few moments ago, so it won't seem suspicious - the only suspicious thing will be Gii having so many different visitors (like he's a playboy). Gii mentions that he regretted the kiss in the greenhouse, and then immediately tells Takumi not to misinterpret. What he means is that he has very little self-restraint, so when they kissed in the greenhouse, he was pretty much ready to make love to Takumi right then and there. Takumi asks if Gii isn't mad, then, that he just showed up right now. Gii says of course not, and they kiss.

When they part, Takumi closes his eyes, and Gii tells him to stop looking so inviting. They kiss again, and Gii leans Takumi back on the couch.

Oh look! A gif. :)

Gii says, "Takumi, I won't be in, so I'm going to turn off the lights." He gets off of Takumi, who starts to get up and apologizes, saying he'll go. Gii pushes him back down on the couch and heads for the door. Door locked. Lights off. Takumi bewildered. Gii leans on the edge of the wall, back in view, and asks Takumi which he prefers, the couch or the bed. Takumi says, "Either... one."

The scene transitions to the two of them kissing passionately in bed, which I thought was good, contrary to the other summary of the movie. Lots of gasping and kissing. At one point, they flip so Takumi is sitting on top of Gii, but Gii maneuvers himself back on top. The climax of all this activity of course comes in slow motion, but I don't think it was as awkward as in Bibou no Detail. I loved the sweet, lingering, post-coital kisses they share.

Outside, rain is falling. Takumi and Gii are lying cuddled together in bed, and I was quite satisfied with how comfortable the two of them are with touching each other. There were lots of sweet moments - Gii's hand on Takumi's waist, Takumi touching Gii's chest and shoulder - it all spoke of much more physical comfort than we've seen in the past, which really made the scene sweet for me. Takumi wakes up and wonders when he fell asleep. Gii asks what time it is, and Takumi, realizing how late it is, says he should get back to his room. Gii pulls him close and asks Takumi to be his for tonight. Takumi agrees happily, but then remembers why he wanted to talk to Gii in the first place. Gii asks if it's about the phone call from his mom on Sunday, and then asks if he could go with Takumi to visit his brother's grave (since he remembers the anniversary from last year). Gii claims he doesn't know the correct or Japanese way of asking, so when Takumi sits up, he thinks that he overstepped his bounds and was wrong to ask. They both have adorably ruffled hair.

Takumi says that that was exactly what he wanted to ask Gii, if he'd come with him to visit his brother's grave. He said that he wanted to ask him this whole time, but when he's alone with Gii he can't think. Gii asks Takumi formally, "Can I go with you to visit your brother's grave?" and Takumi says yes. Gii says he wants to leave school together with Takumi instead of meeting at the train station. He wants to do this properly because he feels like he's only been making Takumi cry all year (yes, you have, Gii), and that Takumi's brother would get angry with him if he doesn't start treating Takumi better. Takumi says that Naoto won't be mad, and they share another tender moment holding hands.

Tuesday, June 10. Takumi writes his application to leave school in the Student Affairs Office (remember from Niji Iro no Glassthat students need special permission to leave school). There's a brief moment where Gii and Akaike talk about the upcoming plans for Tanabata (July 7, which is the focus date for Pure), and then an underclassman asks Gii for help with English.

Thursday, June 12. Takumi and Akaike are sitting under a roof while rain pours down behind them, drinking can coffee and talking (note: since they filmed in February, they had to simulate all the rain, and apparently Mao and Takki got soaked doing this scene!). Akaike explains that while the prizes aren't that great, there is a totocalcio (Italian for a betting pool for soccer/football matches - thank you, hibimaosuki, for that information!), so there is real money at stake in the snooker competition. He tells Takumi not to let any teachers know about the totocalcio though! Then Akaike mentions offhandedly that Gii is participating in the tournament, so Takumi should support him. Takumi is shocked, remembering that once nominated, you can't drop out of the tournament (and since Gii is the type of person who doesn't let people down, he probably wouldn't just drop out anyway). Takumi says, "Gii, you promised... you said not to worry... you're cruel," and starts crying. Akaike is surprised and concerned.

There is another flashback to when Takumi was a second year, from June Pride, when he got the letter from his mom (the one he crushed in his hand). That scene continues - Takumi stumbles over to a chair with the letter still in his hand, and hears his brother's voice echo in his ears. "Who would love you, Takumi?" Takumi is breathing very heavily. His mother's voice screams, "You aren't my child!" Takumi covers his ears, wondering who is supposed to forgive who (most likely the letter says that his parents forgive him but he thinks - rightly - that he should be the one to decide when to forgive them or something). Just then Akaike comes down the stairs and asks Takumi what's up. Takumi, clearly upset, asks Akaike if he's ever loved someone so much he doesn't want to lose them (Takumi is worried that if Gii found out the truth about him and Naoto, Gii would leave him). Akaike doesn't give Takumi the answers he wants, and Takumi flips out, unable to breathe, and asks how Akaike could be okay with losing Gii. Before Akaike can answer, Takumi faints to the floor.

Still in the flashback, Takumi is lying on his dorm room bed, unconscious. Gii and Akaike are talking in the doorway in low voices - Takumi fainted because he got anemia from too little sleep (remember Gii commented on his insomnia in an earlier flashback?). Akaike asks if Takumi will be okay, if they should take him to a doctor. Gii says that he will be okay, that Gii knew Takumi from when Takumi was the real Takumi (it... sounds slightly less awkward in Japanese), and that he loved him from then on.

Back in the present, Takumi and Misu are studying in their room (well, Takumi is studying; Misu is reading the same manga Shingyouji was reading earlier) when there's a knock on the door. Misu says he'll answer it-- and sure enough, it is Gii. Misu says, "Oh, what a surprise." Takumi looks at Gii, then turns away angrily. Misu tells Gii that Takumi isn't in a good mood. Gii says he has to talk to Takumi, so Misu tells him this is his second "treat" (the first was not reporting Takumi out with Gii all night on Monday), and that he'll come back in an hour.

Gii starts off by saying that Takumi already knows why he's here-- when he is interrupted by Takumi saying lightly that he's studying and wants to be left alone. Gii tries to explain, saying that he had no choice in the matter, but Takumi says he doesn't want Gii's excuses or his explanations. Gii says he'll lose the tournament right away, and Takumi finally snaps, yelling, "Can you do something like that?!" Gii's talent and abilities are his undoing - he can't lose right away because everyone would think it's strange, and it'd be a mess with the totocalcio (people thinking it was fixed). Takumi says it's okay, don't worry, he'll just go alone. Gii protests, and Takumi says, "This conversation is over. Go away." Gii asks him to wait for him on Sunday, but Takumi says he won't wait. Takumi says that Gii really will be good in the tournament, and that he should go fulfill everyone else's expectations. He says that logically he understands, he knows the circumstances, but he still can't forgive Gii no matter how hard he tries. Gii says that everything Takumi says is right, and that this is all his fault. Takumi hides his eyes from view and keeps writing. Gii leaves, and as soon as he closes the door, Takumi takes his hand away, revealing that despite his anger and cold words, his eyes are filled with tears. He buries his head in his arms and cries.

Gii meanwhile returns to his room, throwing his glasses off and hitting the wall and the door, crying as well. A mini flashback shows him honestly hurt by what Takumi said to him, and feeling extremely guilty.

Takumi-kun Series: Ano Hareta Aozora (movie) ~ 1

The movie draws on the Pure2 manga mostly (the one that has the "Ano Hareta Aozora" story in it), but also looks at scenes from the June Pride manga. I will try to specify when those scenes come in.

The movie opens on a blue sky and the sound of a violin. Takumi is practicing in the greenhouse (though I feel like that would be bad for the violin), and comments in voice over that he has had a lot of time alone lately. The shots switch between Takumi practicing and Gii sitting in his room studying, and (presumably) listening to the violin. Takumi says that he hasn't seen Gii much since "that day we made our promise" (the end of movie 3). Gii goes to the window, and the voice over changes to the last lines of movie 3, when Gii asked Takumi to be his "accomplice".

As the voice over ends, the shots change to the bus stop sign with the school name, and then the school sign, and Takumi's regular introduction of the school and the meeting that changed his destiny.

Takumi is walking down the staircase by the library (if you're familiar with the British Hills layout), sees Gii coming up the stairs surrounded by freshmen, and immediately looks away and avoids him. Of course, when they've passed, Takumi immediately looks back, and there's actually a nice shot of him looking at Gii through the bars of the banister. Voice over explains that he and Gii have to hide their feelings from the freshmen in order to protect Takumi. He says that it is the extreme kindness Gii is showing to him, to want to keep him safe.

The title appears over a blue sky.

Next we are in room 270 (Takumi and Misu's room), and the date appears - Sunday, June 8. Takumi is doing homework and Shingyouji is lying on Misu's bed, reading manga. Takumi smells something and comments that it's started raining again. Shingyouji says it isn't, but Takumi insists that even though you can't hear it or see it through the curtain, it's started raining. Shingyouji opens the window and says that Takumi is right, then asks how he knew. Takumi says that the air suddenly got more humid.

As Shingyouji looks out the window, Takumi tells him to shut it, because he'll get wet. Shingyouji says that an idiot won't catch a cold (a common saying in Japan, because an idiot wouldn't know how to catch a cold). Takumi apologizes, saying he didn't mean that, and that he's the one who wants the window shut. Shingyouji shuts the window, saying that if he got Takumi sick, Gii would make life hell for him this year. Shingyouji starts poking around Misu's things while talking with Takumi about how Takumi and Gii might not be "dating" right now, but they are still totally dating. Takumi, embarrassed, turns the conversation to Shingyouji and Misu.

I should note here that the timeline for the movies is as follows:
Bibou no Detail -> Ano Hareta Aozora -> Pure
I went to the fan event in May, and the director mentioned that since they were making Aozora after Pure, but since it comesbefore Pure timeline-wise, they decided to put in details to make it a logical lead-up to Pure. So there is a good deal of talk about Shingyouji and Misu's relationship, and mention of the Tanabata preparations, setting the stage for Pure. I was pleased they were careful to maintain continuity like this!

Takumi tells Shingyouji not to touch Misu's stuff, since Misu will definitely notice and get angry. Shingyouji says that Misu has been so busy lately that he doesn't have time for Shingyouji, and probably won't notice. They mention that Misu should be back soon, and Shingyouji says he promised to meet him, so he leaves, but takes the manga with him. Takumi is sure he'll be found out after that.

An announcement comes on to tell Takumi that he has a phone call. It is from his mother. They talk about normal things - she asks about school work, says the only thing that changed for them is that Takumi's dad's stomach is getting bigger - and Takumi voice overs saying that he knows the real reason why she called. Sure enough, she asks what he'll do on the 15th. Takumi apologizes and says he can't go (they don't mention where she wants him to go, but we all know).

Takumi hangs up the phone and walks out onto a balcony, looking out at the rain. In voice over he says that he's sure his mother knew that he went to visit his brother's grave last year, but that he's still not ready to go with his parents. In a brief flashback, we see Gii say that if Naoto were alive, he would be the ultimate rival (real... sensitive there, Gii). Voice over says that Gii helped give him the courage to go last year. Takumi then thinks, "One week left until the anniversary of my brother's death."

At the same time, Gii was also looking out the window at the rain (a very common pastime in this movie XD), remembering a moment when he and Takumi were in bed together, and he asked, "Do you resent him? Even now?" Takumi responded, "Yeah... probably." (This scene comes back in later in the movie, so I will explain it then.)

Next Akaike and Takumi are sitting in a lounge area, and Akaike is saying, "You want to meet Gii?" Takumi explains that he feels awkward or lacks the courage to go see Gii himself, so Akaike has to arrange a meeting between them. Akaike agrees, and says he'll send Gii to the greenhouse the next day, since Takumi is planning to practice his violin in there again. Takumi thanks him, and gives a rather charming smile at the thought of seeing Gii again.

The next day is Monday, June 9, and Takumi and Misu are in class. The student council president, Minoiwa, announces the student snooker tournament (Othello tournament in the manga). There is some excitement about it, and the other students pester Misu about the prizes. Minoiwa says that the tournament is on the 15th, which makes Takumi thoughtful (of course).

That afternoon, Takumi is waiting for Gii in the greenhouse (breathless and biting his lip and looking generally adorable). He hears the door open and-- it's Shingyouji. He's wearing hakama - I think in the manga he does kyuudo? - and says that it's horrible! Misu found out! Takumi asks if Shingyouji means about the manga he took. Shingyouji says no, he took the manga on purpose to get Misu's attention. Takumi says, "Oh, so you are dating?" and they think for a bit on Shingyouji and Misu's relationship. Takumi says that if Shingyouji is unhappy, he should break up with Misu, but Shingyouji says he can't do that. Then he returns to his original reason for rushing in - Misu found out about RinRin! RinRin was a stray cat that Shingyouji adopted, who has been with professor Ohashi. Students aren't supposed to have pets, and Misu hates animals, so Shingyouji is worried that Misu would send RinRin to the pound. He asks Takumi to protect RinRin I think until his practice is over? Takumi agrees and Shingyouji leaves.

There is a shot of Gii walking outside with an umbrella. Takumi waits, sitting down and looking like Gii isn't going to show up, when the door opens again. It's Gii! He removes his glasses and gives Takumi a, "Yo." Takumi rushes up and hugs him tightly, exclaiming how happy he is to see Gii, and how worried he was that Gii wasn't going to come. Gii pulls back and cups Takumi's face in his hands, asking, "Did I really make you wait that long? I'm sorry, Takumi." They share a sweet and gentle kiss (this was actually the first scene they shot for Takumi and Gii - since they didn't kiss in Pure, it had been a while for both of them, so it mirrored Takumi and Gii's situation a bit). Takumi starts to speak, but then the door opens! Oh no! It's Ohashi-sensei with RinRin. Gii and Takumi separate and Gii leaves quickly. Takumi makes an excuse for Gii leaving, and warns Ohashi-sensei about Misu wanting to take RinRin to the pound. In the making-of DVD, Mao was happy to pet RinRin, since his cat Roku looks very similar. They talk about how students can't have pets, but teachers sort of can! so RinRin will be safe.

Ohashi-sensei asks Takumi if he's close to Gii, which Takumi answers with the worst lie ever we saw you kissing him, Takumi, don't try to front. Ohashi-sensei says that Gii worries about Takumi.

Takumi walks back to his dorm in the rain (with an umbrella), and looks in his mailbox to find a letter from his mother. His eyes slide down to the mailbox for room 305 (the room he shared with Gii last year), and he has a flashback to the year before, when he received a similar letter.

This flashback is a scene from June Pride. As the camera focuses on the 305 mailbox, flashback Takumi opens it up and sees the letter. There's a strong heartbeat sound and some shaky camera effects. As flasback Takumi crushes the letter in his hand, he says in a voice over that at that time he hated himself and his parents. In order to protect himself, he made a barricade against everyone else - his fear of human contact syndrome.

Another flashback scene is of everyone in the classroom after school in freshman year (?), where two boys harass Takumi, accusing him of skipping out on his turn for library duties. One of these boys is super femme and fabulous ahaha and I think he was in Pure? Anyway, he touches Takumi's shoulder, Takumi freaks out, and then rushes out of the room. Akaike and Gii give the boys a scolding - Gii says that he doesn't think Takumi is the type of person to skip his duties (and that everyone else skips all the time). Akaike comments that maybe Takumi shouldn't be at their school, though, since he hates people so much. Gii says that he doesn't think Takumi hates humans, but that he is really bad at dealing with them. Their words are voice overs as Takumi walks through the hall to the library, and then goes in, proving that he wasn't going to skip his duties at all. Present Takumi says in voice over that Gii was the only one who understood his syndrome and his real feelings.

Friends? Frind? nope... i havent that. Im alone, always like that since im in campus.
bahkan saat semuanya bersama, saya hanya duduk sendiri dibelakang.
Saat semuanya saling curhat saya hanya memendam perasaan saya sendiri.
Saat dia mengucapkan "7? tidak kami hanya ber 6" rasanya seperti dibuang.
Saat seseorang mengatakan "maklum kamu merasa kesepian, ini masih masa perkenalan" itu terdengar seperti omong kosong.
Saat tidak ada yang menyapa saya semua itu terlihat biasa.
Saat tidak ada yang mengingat saya semua itu terlihat wajar.
Saat apa yang disebut keluarga itu sebenarnya hanyalah bentuk formalitas.
Saat akhirnya saya tidak tahan dan memilih untuk pergi.
