Bad habit

I have a bad habit. If you have read my previous blog, you would say "Yes, that's smoking!'

But that's is not what I am smoker

Biting my nail is my bad habit. When I was a kid, I didn't care to bite my nails in front of people but I would be often told off by my mom or sister about that.

When I was teenager, I was getting interested in painting my nails. but since my nails were awful by biting, it really didn't looks good.

I would always stare longingly at women's hands who had a beautiful nails.

I am old enough to be someone's mom now, I can control myself.

But the embarrassing thing is that I still bite my nails sometimes, especially when I have too much stress.

I found the way to avoid to bite my nails. That's I do nail polish, especially dark colors. If it's light pink color, I might bite! No, maybe not

So I do my nails almost everyday.
My younget friend

If you have Facebook and play some games on that, you may have "Game friends" to help clear the quests or give energy each other.

About 2years ago, my sister became friends with a very nice and friendly American lady. My sister introduced her to me as the game friends. We sometimes have chat on the game and sometimes we have chat on the messanger as well. And we finally became friends with her mother, husband and two lovely sons on the Facebook. Which was so interesting for us.

One day, one of her son sent me a message. I was soo surprised to get it. Because I didn't expect to get it from him. He's American teenager boy so I had no idea how I could talk with him.

Anyway, I just asked him basic questions like school, friends etc I just thought he would get bored to chat with me sooner or later. But he kept texting me almost everyday. I asked him what made him to text me suddenly. He said he just wanted to chat with Japanese people and I was the only Japanese he knows who speak English. That's makes sense. But he didn't think my age was close to his mother. That was so funny though.

We still enjoy chatting. I like to learn anything I've never known. So to talk with him, I can understand what teenager think every day life and learn 'Young American English"

If I have chance to meet him in person in the future I am sure I will be happy.

Of course there's no romance between him and me. I am giving him some advice to meet a nice girl.

It seem not work though lol Trust me, I never tell his mother about that lol

If you have such a friend who accidently became friends, I hope you keep in touch with him/her.

ps This is not today's topic but NADESHIKO beats England!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I like England but sorry ladies, I 100% support NADESHIKO

English

If you read my blog, you Probably speak English or learn English. As you know, my English is not perfect but I'm happy if you still enjoy my blog.
Today I'd like to share with you about what made me learn English.
When I was a teenager, Madonna was very popular. I was fan of her. So naturally, I would sing her songs and check all lyrics. So English was very familiar to me.
After graduated high school, I started working at the beauty salon. Female staff had to take Kimono-wearing class. And I found it's more interesting than to cut someone's hair. I decided to become Kimono master. I got a license and looked for a job. But there's no permanent job. I finally got a part time job which was just a couple of hours and only weekends. That's for wedding ceremony. I was not satisfied because I couldn't earn enough money and what I did at work was just support a master. Now I do understand this system. But I was too young, I couldn't stand it lol
Then, something came to my mind. That's "I will tell foreigners how wonderful Kimono is!" Since that, I started studying English.
Now am I doing that job? NO, I'm not lol I couldn't find the way to start it.
Now I use my English at work now. Although my life plan has changed, I still like to learn English.
I'm studying to get Grade Pre-1. Very difficult, can't remember words! Even if it takes me a long time to get it, I will do my best!

Is she lucky?

My mother got car accident yesterday. When she waited for the traffic light turns to be green, suddenly a car bumped into her car from left side and scratched the left side of her car.
She's ok, that guy apologized her and excused her that the car slipped by the rain.
After they'd done everything with the police, she drove to the car dealer to have her car fix . Her car is Prius but a car which they ready for her was very old Kei-car. My car is Kei-car and like it. But my mother was not happy with that. Maybe she got used to drive a Prius, she can't accept Kei-car anymore!
Anyway, after that, when she got off the car, she hit her head of the edge of the door!
Poor my mother! But my sister suggested her to buy a lottery. According to my sister, mother is lucky because she got hit two times a day. Yes "hit", we say "Ataru" in Japanese. I was laughing but my mother didn't buy one.
I wanted her to buy one to see it's true or supestition!
Everybody drive safe:)

Chick Power!

I'm off today. When I flick through the channels, I found that woman's world cup matches on the air.
Honestly, I don't really know about the rules but like to watch the game. I prefer Nadeshiko. Sawa-san is absolutely wonderful woman. Sometimes I see her on the TV show. Although she's excellent football player, she's nice and very friendly:)

So Japan beats the Netherlands! Congratulations! Ariyoshi-san and Sakaguchi-san, you guys did really good. And kaihori-san, you might made careless miss at the last minutes but you did great job on the game. I'm really proud of all members! They're absolutely cool! Yey, Chick Power!

Boxing Exercise

I am not exerciser. But I want to go to boxing gym. Because I like to watch boxing and one of my favorite movies is Rocky :) And my belly is getting awful because my age!
If I start going to the boxing gym, I will update about that.
Honestly, I don't have stamina at all. Maybe I should build up my stamina before I join to the gym.
I believe that walking is the easiest way to reduce your weight. Ofcourse you need to keep doing. I do that whenever I have enough time for that. But Actually I HAVE TO make time for that, like wake up earlier etc. I know...

I hope everybody is in good health:)

paid vacation

I've been working for the company for almost 4years. And Ofcourse I have some days' paid vacation. But I've never used this great benefits.
Actually, maybe I could say "I'm not allowed to take that anyway" Probably you do understand what I mean because you may be in the same situation with me!
I work in service industry, so It's not weekends off. Someone said to me that if I take 5days' paid vacation, What's going to happen at work place? Everybody have to keep working while I'm on the vacation.
I just think this is ridiculous. If everybody took paid vacation in turn, that'd be fair. But this person who said to me also seemed like that she knew this is ridiculous.
I've stayed in the U.K before. British people have a holiday every year, maybe several times for a year. It's not only the U.K but European countries too.
I hope Japan will be like that in the future.
Ofcourse Japan has something else we can proud of!
