生まれた時からアトピー性皮膚炎を

患っている次女（１７歳）が

最近、本気で治そうとして

食事にも気を付け始めました。


その次女から、「ジャンクフード」なる言葉を

初めて聞きました。


意味が分からなかったのですが

「ジャンク」とはもしや、「がらくた」の意味？


リサイクルショップのオフハウスで

特定の人にしか価値を見出せない品物を

激安価格で

「ジャンク」として売っていますよね？


「ジャンクフード」という言葉を初めて聞いた時

「がらくた食べ物？？」

というようなことを想像しました。

ジャンクフード（junk food）とは、


エネルギー（カロリー）は高いが、

他の栄養素であるビタミンやミネラルや食物繊維が

あまり含まれない食品のこと。

「ジャンク」とは、「がらくた」・「屑」の意。
