I started to write this blog in English for my BF, but since I'm moving to the States, I would like to write my blog in Japanese for my family and friends.

This is not a really sophisticated restaurant, but very relaxing atmosphere.

There is a beach right in front of the restaurant. The view is very amazing.

We both had a lunch course for 2100 yen.

It comes along with soup, bread, main(meat or fish), dessert and coffee.

It is satisfying. Very simple taste.

This icecream is very good, though.

This dessert makes me want to try other desserts here!

I booked my flight today!

I had been waiting for one more document from the States, but it turned out that I don't need that for entry into the US...

I thought June is not a high season for sight-seeing or anything, but when I asked the availability to several travel agencies, they said the flights on this weekend are all full....

I was so worried if I need to wait another week, but I was lucky. I found an available flight on the internet this morning and booked it!

I'll be leaving on 16.

Well, well. I'll be leaving Japan soon, so I should do this as many times as possible, don't you think?

Today's gourmet tour was taken place in Tokyo.

Me and my friend from ex-work went to this cafe for lunch upon my request.

This cafe is very close to my stupid agency, so this place caught my attention everytime I passed.

The name is "cafe 246". I don't know what this name means, though.

I wanted to have a table in a terrace area, but it is smoking area, so we sat inside.

This is what my friend ordered. I think it was Chinese chicken rice or something.

My lunch is a hamburger, but inside is not meat, this is made of Tofu!

It tasted good, but oh my god.... I was stuffed....

I really like the atmosphere, too. When I passed there, I thought this was not a place for women to eat alone, but it is. No hesitation to go in there and have lunch alone!

There is a book store next to it and this specializes in travel books.

Take a look. It is very interesting.

Then we decided to walk to Roppongi Hills.

My friend wanted to go to Grand Hyatt Tokyo to buy some bread at a cafe in there .

After that, we were looking for somewhere to sit down and have a chat.

We felt like having something Japanese, then chose this cafe called "SADEU".

I have been here before and liked it.

I had this Azuki-Milk-Coffee for 777yen. Bit pricy... isn't it?

There was no clue of coffee to me, though. It was really sweet.

She had Macha-milk and this Anmitsu.

It was satisfying, but I prefer Funawa one .

When we were chatting, I said there was one restaurant I had wanted to go.

It is "Joel Robuchon"

I know it is a very expensive restaurant to have dinner, but I can afford some bread and cakes, so we went there and I bought some.

These are what I bought there.

Looks very sophisticated, right?

I had bites of all kinds.

Hummmmmmm.......good!

These taste very complicated. I mean you can taste various kinds of spices, fruits and flavors.

Also its aftertaste is very refreshing.

It is not too sweet, but very rich. You feel very satisfied with just one. This doesn't make you want another one.

I really would like to try dinner here someday!!

Wherever we go, we eat a lot!

Today's our lunch meeting was taken place at 新錦江 in Yokohama China town.

She reccommended this!

hummmmmmmm...... I especially like this skin! It's thick and firm, but very tender to chew.

These are our lunch sets.

My lunch comes along with rice, soup, pickles and a dessert! It's only 650yen!

Her noodle comes along with 2 pieces of dimsum and a dessert! It's only 750yen!

Cheap!!

Then we walked to Minatomirai for some icecream.

Coldstone Creamery is now in Yokohama!!

The left is Mango and the right is Apple pie flavor.

Me and my friend both agreed that icecream shouldn't be mixed with whippedcream.

We both think that whippedcream ruins richness of icecream.

Ah..... I'm gaining weight before I go to the States!!!!!

The first one is ISOLA blu.

This is an Italian restaurant close to Ginza-icchome station.

Food is good and drink is OK.

What you should try here is desserts!

I went there with my friends, 4 of them and we ordered 4 kinds of desserts.

We had a bite of each dessert and all of them was pretty good!

The other one is a cafe called "Cafe Ohana".

This is in the same building where my hair salon is located.

When I entered the building, I saw the sign in front of the elevator.

So I asked my hair stylist about this cafe and he said the atmosphere is very relaxing and coffee is very delicious.

It opened last March, so faily new.

I paid a visit there after my hair was done.

I think I found a very good cafe.

Drinks are bit pricy, probably it is Ginza-Price.

I had a cake set with iced tea.

Cakes here are from TanteMarie in Yushima.

It was sooooo good!!

I love this cake!

This cafe is like a hiding place. I definitely come here again.

I doubt it just for now.

I'll tell you why.

Because.......

I got my VISA today!!

You know I took the interview yesterday and US goverment issued me Visa within the same day and it was delivered to me this morning!!

I couldn't believe it when I got delivery.

I was expecting to get a receipt from SEVIS, so I thought the delivery was that thing.

But when my mom came over and handed it to me, she said,

"This might be the one!! This is from US Embassy!! Open it quick!!"

I tore it open and found my passports(I submitted 2, my old one and new one) and some documents.

There was nothing else.

Where is my visa?

Any other letters addressed to me?

I opened my passport and found something new on it.

Oh, this is it?

I spent bunch of money just to get this piece of paper on my passport, huh?

I still don't feel like I got it.

But this is really happening now.

I'm going to the States soon!!

I was bit busy with paperwork and preparation for the visa interview.

Yeah, as I announced before, I went to US Embassy for the interview today!!

Here's what I did and what happened today!

I made an appointment at 11:15, but this means not exact time when the interview is taken place.

This means you can go through the entrance gate at this time......

I got to Tameikesanno station at 10:30 and had quick and light lunch because you never know how long it would take and also my friend told me that you can't bring any food nor drinds into the property.

After that, I walked to the Embassy and saw very loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong line along the fence from the security gate.

Oh, no.......!!!!!

Sooooooo many people were already waiting for the security check.....

I got to the Embassy at 10:55 and went through the security check at 12:00.........

It took an hour just to enter the Embassy.

Ah, also, you can't bring any electric items either. You will be asked to put your cellphone, ipod, dictionary and so on in a busket if you have them and leave them at the security gate.

This strict security check made me think that US is so frightened to be attacked by terrorists and also US knows that they have made bunch of enemies all over the world.

Anyway, after I went through the security check, I proceeded into a building.

There were 3 Japanese staffs at the entrance and we need to submit our application form to them.

If your application is not completed, they won't accept it.

Then, I proceeded to the next room.

This is where you have the interview.

It looks like a bank service counter.

There are about 10 windows and we sit on chairs at the front of the counter and just waited to be called.

The funny thing was all staffs at the windows, they speak very fluent and good Japanese.

So when they call us, they say "●●さん、4番窓口まで来てください。" or "これからお呼びする方は6番窓口の前にお並びください。●●さん、▲▲さん、、、、、、、".

Wow..... good job, guys!

My interview was in English, but there are also so many people who want student visa to go to ESL in the States.

It means they can't speak English currently, so their interview is in Japanese!!

Well, I sat there for loooooooooooong time again.

First, they call us to take our fingerprints and say "面接を行いますのでもう少々お待ちください" in Japanese.

When I was called for the interview, I was actually the third last person.

I proceeded to the counter and had the interview.

She asked me a few questions, probably 2 or 3.

That was it.

I mean it took only 2 minutes even though I waited for the interview for 2 hours......

I think I did really good at the interview but my training plan that my host company had made was bit troublesome.

My interviewer said,

"Well, you will learn about Event Planning, right? but this training plan doesn't mention about it so much. Why do you want to be trained at this company?"

Shoot.......

I explained her what kind of Event Planning my host company deals with, but I'm not sure I really convinced her or not.

Why didn't my host company mention about Event Planning more?

I finished the interview around 13:15 and left the Embassy.

I will know the result a week later.

Fingers crossed!!!!

They said the earliest available date for the interview is 14 of June.

I was so shocked......

2 weeks later?????!!!!!!!!

I actually showed my surprise and disappointment in my voice.

The young lady who called me noticed it and said she knows I'm in a hurry but that's the earliest they can do.

I asked her that it is possible to wait for others' cancellation and make my appointment earlier.

She said they will check the website as often as possible and try.

I couldn't just wait at home, so went to US Embassy website and checked the availability by myself.

Yeah, the earliest was on 14.....

But next time when I checked it, it was available for 1 and 9!!

I tried to change my appointment, but didn't know the password given to a person who made an appointment because I wasn't the one who did it first, my agency did.

I called my agency to ask the password, but she was on another line.

When I called her again, it was too late. The open positions for 1 and 9 were taken by someone else already.

I sat at PC and kept clicking "refresh"botton not to miss any new availability info.

You know what.

I'm lucky!!!!!!

A while later, I made the appointment for 31 of May!!!!

YAY!!! Somebody cancelled it!!

I emailed my agency to let them know I changed it.

Oh, my god!

I'm so excited!!

I didn't go out but my mom bought me these sweets

The front ones are Cream Puffs!

The puff is crispy and the cream is so smooth, but thickness is perfect and the flavor is so rich!

The ones behind are "Blancmange of soymilk with Black sugar jelly".

Mmmmmmm.....

It was good, too. Especially the jelly on top.

This is the perfect collaboration with soymilk and black sugar, both Japanese

This restaurant is located at very countryside, but these taste is very sophisticated.
