The day after Christmas marked 1&1/2 year anniversary with Mattニコニコ I'm so happy! But that day it was snowing so we couldn't go out for a date, which was okay. It was nice to cuddle and relax after the busy weekend. The day was even more special because my day began with this surprise:

I love Ayu and her friends, MY friends. I truly love them. They are the most real people I've ever met. Peggy is the only person I've opened up to about certain things, and I love her for that. She is honest and has the biggest heart. ドキドキ

Pinkerton and Chikemuri in my mind are the most lively and delightful people to be around. They have such a charming sense of humor that I never want to forget.ニコニコ

I downloaded Ayu's new album, Love Songs. It is really good! I think Ayu's voice sounds really tired, though. I think she needs a break. I love Ayu and her music, but I don't want her to exhaust herself! Poor Ayu, don't get sick! o(TωT )

My initial idea was to try to, somehow through research, make people realize that their preconceived attitudes of Pit bulls are grossly exaggerated and unreal. Right now, Pit bulls are considered the most dangerous domestic animal and over 75 communities have banned ownership of the dogs. Some communities have even been as drastic as to strip owners of their dogs and kill them on the spot. Can you imagine someone taking your dog from you and killing it before your eyes, just because another dog of the same breed attacked a human? Outrageous.

Unfortunately, there is no way that I can get people to think differently. Even with research, I can't prove that anyone thinks Pit bulls are deadly beasts. I was hoping to be able to use an "Implicit Association Test" to uncover a participant's underlying attitudes about certain dog breeds, but even that cannot be found with the IAT.

The IAT strictly measures preference for or against something. So all I can measure with my data, in the end, will be the participant's preference for large or small sized dogs... which isn't what I want to get at all, really. (*￣Oﾉ￣*)

But really, the problem here isn't the dog, it's the human. It's the people who train and force Pits to fight that make them so aggressive. Do you know how they train them to fight? They starve them, and whoever wins the fight gets to eat. Wouldn't you become violent in that situation? Humans needs to stop blaming the breed and take responsibility for what has happened.

The truth is, Pits are one of the smartest and most loyal dog breeds out there. They are exceptionally good and gentle with children and just want to please their humans. They are used as search-and-rescue dogs because of their strong and resilient bodies, too.

Luckily, there are plenty of rescue groups and Pit lovers like me that can't stand anti-Pit bull legislation. Hopefully soon we can eliminate this ridiculous stereotype and the breed can finally get the positive recognition it deserves.

Just think, if 10% of Hispanic people kill somebody, does that mean we should kill all Hispanic people? Of course not! That is ridiculous!
