Mini Bio of Actress Marina Tokinashi

Marina Tokinashi is an actress signed with Egg Star, Inc., a public entertainment office in Japan.

She was born 1991 in Kobe, Hyogo prefecture, in western Japan.
She has been interested in acting and singing from an early age and became inspired by movies she has watched since she was a teenager.
At the age of 23, she started appearing in movies, TV dramas, stage productions and advertisements.
In 2017, she started singing and dancing as part of the 6-member idol group Otogi-Boshi ("Fairy Star" in Japanese. Otogo-Boshi has now 4 members since 2 members have left the grpup.).

She will appear / has appeared in:

Films: "Leon" (2018) / "Detective in the Bar"(2017) / "No Longer Heroine" (2015) / "Messiah" (2014)
TV drama: "Izakaya Fuji" (2017)
TV drama: "Library Wars: Book of Memories" (2015)

「おとぎ星は、日本の美意識「和」のテーストを持った新しいアイドルグループです。

日本の武士の文化である刀剣と、古来の文化である「籠目」形をシンボルにしています。

籠目は正三角形を組み合わせた六芒星で、いわゆるダビデの星と似ていますが、日本に古くからあるデザインの一つであって、日本の文化の一つを表しています」

「西洋の方にとっては、かごめの印はダビデの星とよく似て見えますが、両者の直接のつながりはありません」

Otogi-Boshi is a new idol group which has taste of "Wa" , a sense of Japanese beauty.

Its symbol logo consists of Japanese sword (a symbol of Samurai culture) and the Kagome crest (it comes from the kagome (Japanese basket used since the ancient) lattice design). Kagome crest is a star shaped (hexagram) crest and resembles to the Star of David.

But it is one of the old design of shape and is expressing one of the Japanese culture.

To Western people the Kagome crest as religious symbol perhaps most closely resembles the Star of David, however any direct connection between the two is not exist.
