人魚って女とは限らないんだって
男バージョンもあるんだってね～

日本書紀にも大阪の漁師が捕まえたって描いてあるらしい
100％西洋伝来でもないみたいですね

Mermaid is not always a female as a male mermaid is called merman

it is written in "Nihon-Syoki"(a old writing which most Japanese kids learn in their Jr-high)
that a seaman in Osaka captured a mermaid in 619.

mermaid seems to be not only from the western cultures

この人魚とは昨年末会いました

We met her at the very end of last year and hang out for a while.
