Time for tea? Yes, always!

Hi! I'm Paul (ポールルイス), a tea drinker at M&P's in Japan, and I want to tell you all about the wonderful world of tea. You can contact me via email.

Yes, it's always tea time in our house. How often do I drink tea? I guess it's around 20 cups a day! Does that sound a lot? Well, it's a pot or two in the morning, and then continual pots all through the day.

The nicest thing about tea is that there are so many flavours that it's easy to choose a different one to match your mood.

For example, a great breakfast tea might be Assam, then some Ceylon Dimbula at 11am with biscuits.

After that, have an Uva at lunch, and then Darjeeling in the afternoon with cake.

In the evening, I personally like Earl Greys. They are sophisticated teas and go well with a firesidechat. Finally, after dinner, a good Keemun or other Chinese tea is excellent.

Recently, I am enjoying Facebook. There are lots of nice tea pages there, and I recommend you join it. I'm sorry, I don't use Twitter, Netbook, or Mixi. But the tea community is everywhere, online and offline.
Paul ポールルイス talks about fruit teas

Paul (ポールルイス) Talks About Fruit Teas for M&P's!

Hi! I'm Paul (ポールルイス), a tea drinker at M&P's in Japan, and I want to tell you all about the wonderful world of tea. You can contact me via <paul@mptea.com></paul@mptea.com>

One of the most popular teas is fruit tea... Here is some information but for more details, send me an email at M&P's Tea!

First, let's find out what a fruit tea actually is...

Tisane is not really a fruit tea.. it's an infusion of herb, vegetable, spice, or fruit matters but normally does not contain any actual "tea" in the sense of the leaf of the camelia plant. Saying that, a tisane can be most relaxing and refreshing, and is enjoyed by millions of people all around the world.

Flavoured teas include fruit teas but also have spices such as cinnamon or ginger.

Most traditional fruit or flavoured teas are based on a normal tea with some fruit essences added. This can be done in various ways. For example, the original fruit tea was Jasmine tea, made in China. Fresh green leaves were left in a stone room and heaps of jasmine flowers added. As the flower buds opened, small amounts of jasmine flavour migrated to the tea which gradually took on the essence of the flower. This was repeated many times and the result was a delicate and exotic flavoured tea.

More recent technology means that most fruit teas these days are made in something like a tumble drier; warm air is blown through the tea leaves in a drum as a vapourised oil is passed through; almost any flavour can be added this way and it creates a very pleasing and interesting tea.

There are dozens of fruit and flavoured teas out there, so make the most of them and try some. Visit the mptea.com homepage for more information. You can also visit mptea.net.

Enjoy your teas from M&P's!

Paul (ポールルイス)

Hey everyone, my name is Paul from M&P's Tea and this is my tea blog.

Tea isn't really connected that much to Christmas, but it's a warm drink that is popular at this time.
Nuwara Eliya

Hey everyone, my name is Paul from M&P's Tea and this is my tea blog.

Today, I want to talk about Nuwara Eliya. It comes from high up in the central mountains of the island of Sri Lanka and is a beautiful place. It's very British in character, and is cool and a little damp, but verdant and thriving, quite overrun with life.

When I last visited, I stayed in an old planter's house, from the Victorian era. The garden had the most wonderful jasmine flowers and the smell was amazing. I can recommend a visit.

Nuwara Eliya tea is pale and astringent, which is always good in a tea. It is best drunk without milk, and has a wonderful "high grown" taste that lingers on the palate. It's quite hard to find this tea nowadays, but I can recommend trying it if you can find it. And of course, if you can actually go there, the tea tastes the best!

This is Paul signing off: Enjoy your M&P's Tea everyone!

Here is a translation from software, but I don't know if it's good or not!!!!

M&P's Tea

Thanks also to eaccess for the help!

Keeping warm in winter

Hey everyone, I want to write about tea. My name is Paul from M&P's Tea and this is my tea blog.

As winter sets in, things get cold. What's the best solution? One good answer is to use a spicy tea to keep good circulation, and ginger tea is excellent for this.

Especially for old people, ginger tea can really help keep them comfortable. A great way to make it is to boil up some small leaf tea, such as Ceylon BOP, in a pan with some milk and add ginger or other spices, such as cinnamon. (In fact, this is a kind of chai!) It's very warming. Ginger has been used for generations to help keep people's systems moving in cold weather.

Everyone gets old, and these days, there are more and more elderly people. How will you cope when you get old and cannot move easily? Are you prepared for it?

I hope that one solution may be a spicy tea for your circulation!

Enjoy your M&P's Tea everyone!

M&P's ポールルイス M&P's Tea

M%26P%27s%E3%80%80TEA

Did you know that Assam was a jungle before they started to cultivate teas? It was very thick and nobody could go through it. So many workers were employed to cut through the jungle.

In fact, many of these people died. There were illnesses and mosquitos, snakes, and tigers.
Winter teas

I recommend a good Assam tea in this weather, the best ones are known as Malty Assams, and they have a nuance of bitter chocolate and malt. Drink them with milk during the day. If you want to sleep, it is not always a good idea to drink them at night as they may stop you sleeping.

I recommend using a good tea cozy to keep the tea warm during this cold season. The best ones come from Sri Lanka and are made of duck down!
