I'll introduce how Finland is from Japanese point of view ja trip to Helsinki It took about 5h from Kuopio to Helsinki by bus, and i took the first bus of the day at 5am.

I arrived in Helsinki at 10:00.

Helsinki is said to be the biggest city in Finland, but for me it's still small and quiet city.( compared with Tokyo)

Weather was so nice, so I enjoyed my trip for whole days.

Finland is famous for its own designed stuffs, like Marimekko, Ittala and so on.

I really like the design of Ittala. In Helsinki, there is a factory of Ittala, and you can join the factory tour. But it's so expensive that I couldn't join it at that time.

This is Kammpi church, it's made in wood.

I saw this church on Japanese TV before I came to Finland, and I was interested in it, so im happy to visit there. The atomosphete was kinda unique, and i like its shape.

Also i went to Suomenlinna, its a world heritage island. It takes about 15min from Helsinki.

Once it's conquered by Russia, but it's returned to Finland after WWⅡ.

Sunset was so beautiful!!

I have lots of things which I want to write about Helsinki, but it's too much so I'll write it next time.

Although I'm in Finland, I got lots of German friends and Dutch friends.

I spend most of my time with exchange students, so it's difficult to meet Finnish students here.

but Finnsh students give some opportunities to make friends with Finns, and also other exchange students.

They held lots of parties last week.

I found that Finns become crazy if they get drunk.

When party was held, some Finns were naked in public.

also Finns hold games which are related to sexual things. But I heard that it's sometimes normal in Europe.

I also went to night club in Kuopio.

At that day, students could enter the club for free.

Tonight I'm gonna have BBQ with roommates.

It might have lots of Dutch students there.

I already got used to the life in Finland.

Today I'm gonna show some pictures of my apartment.

This is my apartment, and this place is called Juontotie.

("tie" means street in Finnish)

This place is famous for international students, because there are no Finnish residents around here. Usually Finnish dislike noisy sounds, so if students make some loud voice and music, Finnish might call police. But here we don't have to worry about such kind of things.

I also have toilet in my room:)

So far my room looks good.

I'm afraid my room will getting messy.

I share 1 flat with 3 people.

My roommates are Dutch, Italian and Chinese.

All of them are so nice, and we get to know each other well.

Although I took this photo at 19:00, sun was still there. Summer is so great in Finland, but I don't want to think about winter.😂

Yesterday I went to the city center in Kuopio.

A attractions called harvest festivals were held there, and they are lots of markets, food and people.

I bought "kalakukko", it's a traditional bread of Kuopio.

In old days, when people go to forests and work to cut trees, they brought kalakukko and ate it in forests.

Inside the bread, fishes are contained.

The taste is...I can't explain it anymore

After that I took a walk around city center, and I found many shops for clothes, furniture and food. (There are too many supermarkets!!!)

Of course, Finland is famous for Moomin.

This is a candy store.

"Salmiakki" is famous Finnish candy.

You must find salmiakki anywhere if you come to Finland.

Finns say "Salmiakki is the best candy in the world" but if you aren't Finns, you say "it's the worst candy in the world" for sure.

It's like Natto in Japan. Japanese like Natto but foreign people don't like it. They need to get used to the taste. I'm trying to like Salmiakki right now.

On Sunday, many shops are closed in Finalnd. It's prohibited to work too much here.

I asked some Finns how to spend time on Sundays and they said that they just go to forests or lakes and stay relax. What a great life!

So today(Sunday) some Japanese friends and I went to a lake next to my university, and had picnic!

Weather looks good, but actually it's getting colder these days.

I want to swim in lakes but I'm afraid that I have fever. But Tomorrow is the last chance to swim because it will be getting much colder and I'll be much busier. I'm stil thinking whether I should swim or not:)
