ディ ベート形式；英語ディベートにはイギリス式と北米式がありますが、当ディベートでは北米式を採用します。何か一つお題を選んで賛成 （proposition)反対(opposition)の２チームに分かれて、1番手はお題(topic)の定義を明確に説明していくつかのポイントを 示し、2番手は1番手の説明を補い、リサーチをできるだけ多く出して、3番手以降は相手側に反論します。最後に結論を出して終わりです。

参加するには？；基本的に週一回程度で自由参加型です。Facebookアカウントがある方は人数を把握するためそちらから連絡お願いします。福生市内もしくは立川市内の図書館の一室を借りようと考えています。場所が決まり次第、現地集合です。交通費出ません。

誰が参加できるの？；英語がある程度喋られればどなたでも参加出来ます。TOEICやTOEFLの点数ははっきりいって気にしません。会話力重視です。カナダベースなのでクラブ内の会話は英語です。そして、フレンドリーに会話しましょう。

当ディベートクラブ設立の目的；英語の表現力や語彙力を伸ばすことを主な目的としています。さらに英語でディベートをすることは自分の考えを英語で主張できる能力、営業できる能力を伸ばすことにつながります。

The purpose of this debate club is to develop our English communication skills and it's supposed to be a community for fun.But I can't pay for your transport cost etc. I'm planning 1000 yen/each to join NOT FOR SURE, which is paid for experienced moderator whose first language is English.

Otherwise, I'm planning to have an orientation in Tachikawa or Kichijoji or Shinjuku if I can successfully make up member. We're subject to decide the cost to join whether it's free or toll, its style.

The style of debate is usually separated for two-teams of opposition and proposition into 3 on 3, then first speaker must talk about introduction and definition of the topic someone chose, second speaker must support first speaker and show some examples, third speaker must re-battle for opponents, as well as debate club in Canada. On the other hand, I want to mix our experience or opinion to share into the debate. Therefore I hope every each person to choose the topic whatever you like.
