諸説ありますが、Judeはジョンレノンの前妻との息子がモデルになっていて、ポールマッカートニーが彼に向けて書いた曲だと解釈してる人が多いようです。herは彼のお母さんを指しています。「世界を自分の肩だけに背負い込むな、でもその後の行動を決めるのは自分自身なんだ」と歳の離れた友人の支えとなり勇気づけている曲です。

つまづいた時、それを全部自分一人の問題として抱え込まず、誰かに一緒に荷を持ってもらいながら、でも誰のでもない自分の人生を正面から生きよう、そんな普遍的なメッセージが受け取れます。

2. 仮定法過去（Second Conditional)：現在、未来の起こりえない仮定

If の条件節は過去形、主節も過去形

If you came to my party tomorrow, I would be so happy.

もし明日パーティーに来れたら、嬉しいんだけどな。

（可能性がない時、非現実的）

If you were here now, I would be so happy.

今ここにいてくれたら、嬉しいのに。

(条件節は事実と反すること、・実際は今はここにいない・主節は仮定している）

3. 仮定法過去完了（Third Conditional)：過去の起こらなかったことに対しての仮定

Ifの条件節は過去完了系、主節は助動詞の過去＋過去完了形

If you had come to my party yesterday, I would have been so happy. 

昨日来てくれたら嬉しかったのに。

（条件節は事実と反すること、・実際は来れなかった・主節は仮定している）

4. 事実を述べる仮定法（Zero Conditional)：事実を述べる時（if=when）

If の条件節、主節共に現在形

If you don’t water flowers, they get dry.

もし花に水をあげなかったら、花は枯れる。（根拠がある普遍的な真実をいう時）

仮定法は時制（tense)を細かく考えるより、可能性で考えると理解しやすいと思います。
