この時期が一番ええかもね～
日が沈むと（白夜やからかなり遅いけど）まだまだ寒くなるので何か羽織るもんは持ってった方が良いですよ～

ArkenとLouisianaの両現代美術館へ。
着いた水曜日は美術館の閉館時間が遅いので、仕事終わってからでも十分に時間があって助かりました！

Arken
は以前来た時よりも改築が進んで、ほんとに良い現代美術館になってました。
作品はオラファー・エリアソンはもちろん、ダミアン・ハーストやクリスチャン・ボルタンスキーと言った日本でも有名なヨーロッパベースの作家の作品を多く展示しています。




Louisiana
は古き良き現代美術を集めた美術館です。
場所も海岸沿いの丘にあり景色も雰囲気も良くてのんびりできる良い美術館。
館内の海が見える庭に面したレストランでは旨いビュッフェも食べれますよ～！




あわよくば、電車で橋を渡って直ぐのスウェーデンのMalmoって街にある真っ赤な現代美術館Moderna Museet Malmoにも行きたかったんですけど、ここはまた次の機会に～






It was such a perfect day.
One of the best season to visit Scandinavian countries gotta be now!
However bringing something long sleeves is still a good idea for after sunset which is quite late because of the midnight sun around this area. It's still getting pretty chilly afterward.

I went to two famous modern art museums in Copenhagen area.
Majority of museums are closed late on Wednesday, the day I arrived, so I could have enough time to see the museums!


Arken
has become a great museum after the reconstruction!
The leading artist is of course Olafur Eliasson. They also have the works by Damien Hirst and Christian Boltanski etc…


Louisiana
is a venerable modern art museum.
The location is also great! The museum facility is on a hill near by coast line which creates a comfortable atmosphere to relax.
The restaurant in the museum facing a garden also serves a great buffet menu~!


If the time allowed me, I wanted to go to a red museum, Moderna Museet Malmo located Sweden side just crossing the bridge by train.. I will try this next time~

まだ５月やのに。
中東で外に出歩くのはそろそろ危険な季節になってきました。

その前にってことで、最近新しく出来た現代美術館へ。

Arab Museum of Modern Art



今ここでは
蔡國強 - Cai Guo-Qiang -
saraab "mirage"

の展覧会が行われています。
有名な火薬アート、スゴいですよ！

また作品は言うまでもなく、美術館内の展示や映像を見るためのソファもイスラムっぽさと現代表現が交ざってええ感じでした！


期間は5/26まで～

Ego

もまだ会期中で6/24まで。
個展のサイズとしてはかなり大きな展覧会です。
会場はI. M. Pei設計のMuseum of Islamic Artの隣にあるAl Riwaq Exhibition Hall。
いろんな作風が見れて面白いですよ～




ここまで来ると、もう１つ。
ここから海沿いを歩いてMuseum of Islamic Artの裏側に歩くと、リチャード・セラ - Richard Serra - のオブジェ "7" もあります。




最近は噂のムンクの『叫び』の1枚がカタールの王族の一人によってサザビーズで落札されたとか？？
確かに上の３つを統括するQATAR MUSEUMS AUTHORITYの会長は王族の１人ですし。。

カタールがこれから中東でのアートの中心になって行くんでしょうか～？

てか、熱い。。

Before it's getting really hot, I went to newly opened

Arab Museum of Modern Art

蔡國強 - Cai Guo-Qiang
sarrab "mirage"

is taking place.
His famous "Gun Powder" art is great!!

Not to mention about his works, the atmosphere in the museum is also good. I liked a modern cozy room with some islamic taste mattresses and cushions to watch the description video for his work.
The exhibition lasts until May 26.


Takashi Murakami
"Ego"

His huge solo exhibition is also taking place at Al Riwaq Exhibition Hall until June 24.
The location is next to the Museum of Islamic Art, a great symbol of Doha designed by I. M. Pei.
A variety of his interesting styles of art expression you can see here.


Furthermore, there is a sculpture by Richard Serra, "7" is also here in Doha.
It's located in only a few minutes walking distance at the back side of the Museum of Islamic Art.


An internet news said a piece of world famous Norwegian Edvard Munch's iconic painting "The Scream" series was sold to Qatar.
Actually the chairman of QATAR MUSEUMS AUTHORITY which is the organizer of the above three exhibitions is one of the royal family members of Qatar.

Is Qatar going to be a leader of art scene in the Middle East??

Anyway, it's too hot out here..

GWを関西でゴロゴロしている人は行ってみてください！
残念なのは風営法なるもんで、今年は例年よりかなり早く1時までですけど、始まりも早いですし、くそ面白い事は保証します！

In addition to the missing of visiting Lehmann Maupin last week, this is also a near miss again for me..

I strongly recommend to participate in this party if you have nothing to do and just hang around nearby your home in Osaka area!
The party this year only lasts until 1AM which is way earlier than usual due to a local ordinance though, the doors are also opened early, and I guarantee that the party is outstanding and so much fun!

春になって気温もええ感じに上がってました～

今回はチェルシーとロウワー・イーストにあるLehmann Maupinが一番の目的！。。


だったんですが、残念ながらニアミスで新しいギルバート＆ジョージ（GILBERT & GEORGE）の展覧会、London Picturesに間に合いませんでした。。


行ける方は是非～！
今は他のギャラリーでも当たらし展覧会が始まってますよ！



あまり時間も無く、まぁいくらあってもお金と時間は足りないNYやけど、Giginoで晩飯食えて、Brownで朝飯も食えて、ギャラリーも回れて、買いもんも出来て。

それでも友達に頼まれてたもん、スターバックスのコーヒー、その他もろもろ買えなかったもんが。。

また行かんと～！






Almost a half year ago was the last time to visit NY where I always love to go!
Spring has come to the city and the temperature is in the middle 60's °F.

The main purpose of visit this time is going to an art gallery, Lehmann Maupin located Chelsea and Lower East Side to see the new exhibition London Pictures by GILBERT & GEORGE!!…


However I couldn't stay just one day longer to see them unfortunately..


If you are there, I recommend to go see them!
Other many art galleries in NY also have just started new exhibition last week!



I didn't have enough time, actually there always are no enough time and money in NY for me though, I could enjoy the time staying in NY to have a nice dinner at Gigino a breakfast at Brown, and to visit some galleys and shopping!


Even then I couldn't have done what I was asked from my friend, and buying a bag of coffee beans from Starbucks etc..

I gotta go back to NY~!

行った島はダウンタウンのあるマーレから近い、Kuda Bandos。



リゾート言うてもここは歩いて20分ぐらいで1週できるぐらいの小さな島で、ちょっとした飯が食えるお店（食事は12時半から。。）が１つとマリンスポーツを扱う店が１つ。
放ったらかしっぽい誰も泊まってなさそうなバンガローが何軒か。。
たぶん家がある外国人駐在員とかが日帰りで遊びに来るのには丁度良い、市民プールぐらいな感覚の場所な感じ。

リゾートフィーと言うなの入島料もたったの$11！
ここに来るまでにボートをチャーターしたものの、同僚とたまたまホテルに泊まってた同業者の人らも一緒に行ったので、足代も格安で済みました～

海ももちろんキレイで白い砂浜！
遠浅で波も穏やか。珊瑚礁もあります！






ムスリムの国であるモルディブなのでアルコールを買って持ち込む事はできませんが、島にあるお店でビールは売ってましたよ～！

1日しかおらんし、彼女と来てる訳でもなし、リゾートを満喫するには十二分な場所！
天気も良かったし！






Obviously I went to Maldives for my business trip though, there was pretty of free time afterwork, so I and my colleague, plus some people who are in the same line of business went to a resort island!


The name of island is Kuda Bandos.

It's is obviously a great resort island though, it's a very small island like walking around the island will take only 20 mins.
There is a simple restaurant where you can barely order some meals and drinks at certain times not anytime, and a shop for marine sports.
There are some almost run-down bungalows which don't seem that someone is staying in..
I assume this is the best day trip island for resident employee who has own accommodation just like going to a public swimming pool.

The entrance fee is only $11!
We chartered a speed boat though, we had many people to share the cost, so total price per person was extremely cheap to visit a great island!

Unbelievable clear water with white sand beach!
Calm waves and shallow beach with coral reef!
Maldives is a Muslim country so, you ain't be able to purchase alcohol from the local shop even from duty free shopping onboard to bring in to the island though, at least beer is available at the shop on the island~!

I had only one day w/o girlfriend, so this island was perfect for me this time!!
And it was such a perfect day also!

先輩と言うかいつもお世話になりっ放しの友達と運良く滞在日が重なり、日本人料理長が作る中華をごちそうに！
行ったお店は、

頼んだもん全部旨かった～！
日本人好みの味付けやし、値段も丁度ええぐらい。
エビチリと天津飯が最高でした！

いつも出張と駐在の日本人で込み合ってるらしいので、知ってる人は知ってるお店みたいです。
上海に行かれる方は是非～






I haven't been to Shanghai for a while.
A friend of mine who is like my senior collegue took me out for dinner to a nice Chinese restaurant owned by Japanese chef!

All the menus we ordered were very good!
They are flavored with what Japanese prefer, and they are reasonable.
I liked sweet and sour fried shrimp and Ten Shin Han; vegetable omelette with sweet sticky sauce over rice the most among the menus!

This restaurant is popular for Japanese businessmen and their family everyday.
If you visit Shanghai, try this restaurant!

ドバイに変わって、ネパールのカトマンズに行ってくれと。。
次の日もイヤな仕事があってのでカトマンズに行くと同日に帰って来られへんからええかなぁ思いながら、出社するとまた電話。。ベニスに行ってくれと～
ラッキーやったけど、あんまり寝てなかったからキツかった～

やっぱりベニスはええとこ。
肌寒かったけど、その分観光客も少なめやし、天気も良かったし。
16時頃から自由時間。
PUNTA DELLA DOGANAに行って閉館時間聞くと19時。
ほなそこから歩いて10分ぐらいの18時に閉まる先にPeggy Guggenheim Collectionに行こうと。

んで18時ちょっと過ぎにPUTA DELLA DOGANAに戻ると、閉館。。

セキュリティのおっさんがチケットオフィスは18時に閉まると。。てかそんな事言わんかったやん～！
前に一度来た事あったから良かったけど、これが初めてやったらどないしてくれんねん。。
ホームページには閉館時間しか書いてないので、行かれる方は気を付けて～




帰りに寄ったワインバー



サンタルチア駅を出たら左にひたすら歩いて、15分ぐらい３本目の橋にあります。
ワイン、アンティパストの種類も豊富！
奥にテーブル席、手前にベンチ席。
一人旅のちょいと一杯にはええ場所ですよ!






Although I was scheduled to go to Dubai in that morning, I got a call from my company and they said I am now going to Kathmandu, Nepal..
It was OK with Kathmandu for 2 days instead of going to Dubai, because I didn't wanna go to another job on the next day.
When I got the office, I got another call, and they said I am now going to Venice, Italy~
I was lucky and love to go to Venice anytime though, I didn't sleep well on that day, so it was quite tough to go to Venice.

I like Venice, I can say no one hates Venice.
It was still cold there, on the other hand less tourists which is good, and it was such a nice day!
I got my free time after 4 PM.
PUNTA DELLA DOGANA was my destination and when I got there, a staff told me the museum is closed at 7 PM, so I headed to Peggy Guggenheim Collection which is located only 10 mins away first because it's closed at 6 PM.
When I came back to PUNTA DELLA DOGANA at just a few minutes after 6 PM, the ticket office has been CLOSED..
A guard said the ticket office is closed at 6 PM.. I wasn't told that!!
I've been there once before, so it's was still OK though, what if it was my first time to visit..
Please be reminded about this if you wanna go in the last minutes. The homepage also just says "7 PM".

I stopped over at a wine bar.
It is about 15 mins away from the Santa Lucia train station toward west, right before the 3rd bridge.
There are a lot of kinds of wine and antipasto!
There are table seatings inside, and a long bench in front of the counter.
This is a great place for single traveler for a drink!

行き方はそれぞれやけど、一番便利なのはパリ東駅からのTGVで1.5時間ぐらい。

でもう１つ、ここパリに来た目的は！





ガゴシアン・ギャラリーが始めたスタンプラリー！

たぶんこんなんできるのは海外に支店がたくさんあるガゴシアンだけやろうな～
全部集めると、ダミアン・ハーストの作品が達成者のためだけに！
開催期間は短いですが、とりあえずLAXに住んでて、香港に仕事がありそうな人はチャンスが大きいですよ！

達成したいんやけども、LAXが手強いです。。
後は何とか仕事とプライベートを駆使すれば行けるかも～
どないしよ～！！






For visiting a new modern art museum,

Centre Pompidou - Metz

which is the first branch of famous Centre Pompidou - Paris opened 2010.
There are several ways to get there. I suggest that taking TGV from Paris East which will take only 1.5 hours.

One more reason to come to Paris was this!!






World famous art gallery, Gagosian Gallery has started a great global project!

Only Gagosian Gallery which has a lot of branches all over the world can make this happen!
If you complete this project, you will receive a signed spot print by Damien Hirst, dedicated personally to you.
The earliest deadline is approaching next week though, if you are living in Los Angeles and having a business trip to Hong Kong, you will probably still have a chance to complete!

I really wanna complete this challenge though, LAX is the toughest destination for me..
Other than LAX, I might be able to visit using days off and business trip…

日本から３時間ほどで行けるのに、以外と今まで行った事がなかった国。
仕事があったのであまり時間はなかったですけど、行きたかった現代美術館Leeumにも行く事ができました！

Museum1はMuseum２に別れる建物は、その展示作品によって分けられています。
Museum1は国宝、宝物など歴史的古美術が集められています。
Museum2には国内外の現代美術を展示しています。


現代美術が好きなもんで、Museum1はさーっと見ようと思ってエントランスに行くとドナルド・ジャッドの作品が。。急いでて行かなかったら完全に見をとしてました。。
Museum2には今の現代美術を代表する作品の数々が、ナム・ジュン・パイクやリ・ウーファンはもちろん、マーク・ロスコ、ゲルハルト・リヒターからジェフ・クーンズ、ダミアン・ハーストまで。

美術の教科書があれば絶対にかかせない作家の作品が展示されています。
現代美術の歴史上、重要な作家とその作品が展示されてる良い美術館でした！


めちゃくちゃ寒かったけど、本場のサムギョプサルも食べて、現地のええ感じのカフェやギャラリーエリアにも行けてほんまにええ滞在でした！

　








My first time to visit Soul.
It takes only 3 hours from Japan to Seoul though, I haven't have chance to visit..
I had a job to do, so there was not enough time to see much but I could go to Leeum, a museum I really wanted to go!

There are 2 buildings at the museum which are classified by the works exhibiting.
Museum 1 is exclusively for historical works such as national treasures.
Museum 2 is particularly for modern and contemporary art.


I like contemporary art better, so I just tied to work through Museum 1 though, I also could see a work by Donald Judd at the hallway! I almost missed it..
Museum 2 has a lot of great works by world famous modern and contemporary artists such as Mark Rothko, Gerhard Richter, Jeff Koons, and Damien Hirst etc… Not to mention there are also works by Nam June Paik and Lee U-Fan.

If we have a textbook for art, these works should be on it!
Overall Leeum is an outstanding museum for modern and contemporary art!


It was very cold there though, I really enjoyed a stay in Seoul! I had famous Samgyeopsal, pork BBQ, visited some art galleries and cafes. I like Soul!!

今までApple Store Onlineでしか買われへん言うてたはずのアップグレード版！日本だとEnglishキーボードにするのもオンラインで別注しないといけないので、LAでこれを見つけて即買い！
持ってたMacBook Proも友達に譲る予定やったし、良かった良かった。

軽い！

起動が速い！

でもちょっとファンがうるさい。。

仕様なんやろうか。。

ドット抜けもないし、そこは一安心やけど。


IncaseもSpeckも赤いクリアケースを作ってなかったので困ってたんですが、他の会社で良いのを買う事もできました！

Finally I've got it!

I was told that fully upgraded MacBook Air is available at Apple Store Online only though, I could buy one in LA! I told my friend to resale a MacBook Pro which I was using, so it's also good for him.

Light!

A bit noisy when the fun is running..

It may be normal I hope..

No dead pixels. That's a good thing.


Neither Incase nor Speck made red clear case for MacBook Air though, I've finally got good one from another company!
