Griffiths hits late winner to

LANCE WORTHINGTON was able to celebrate victory in his first game in sole charge of Dartmouth as they beat Elburton Villa 4-3 on the opening Saturday of the season at Longcross.

"I know it's an old cliche but this was a game of two halves," explained the Darts boss after his side had kick-started their season at the first time of asking.

"We started sharply, which was something I drilled into the lads in the close season, and we got our early reward," he added, referring to the Darts taking a 10th minute lead.

John Barrow's precise cross, from out wide on the right, found the head of central defender Richie Hammett and he powered the ball into the visiting net from six yards.

The Darts needed another 10 minutes to break through again after being awarded a free-kick in their own half, from which Sam Churchill launched the ball forward.

The Elburton defence failed to deal with the ball, leaving Shane Shobbrook to celebrate his debut by heading past Villa goalkeeper Dean Smith from six yards.

The points looked to be in the bag on the half-hour as 18-year- old Jake Ellis released Shobbrook, who turned his marker on the edge handbags u of the area before firing in a shot that was deflected past Smith by the onrushing Churchill.

Darts keeper Nathan Murphy was a virtual spectator for most of the first half and his first real job was to pick the ball out of the back of the net after Villa had been awarded a 40th minute penalty.

Jason Trott was bundled over by Stuart Rickard for Paul Baker to confidently convert the spot-kick and put his side back into the game.

Elburton brought on the imposing Ryan Williams up front and it was the visitors who proceeded to take the second half mantle.

They had reduced the deficit to just one goal on the hour when Stevie Weekes brought down Baker in the area, and the Villa striker converted his second spot-kick of the game.

Dartmouth were now firmly on the back foot, and the scores were level five minutes later as Williams took on the home defence before firing low past Murphy from 18 yards.

Worthington proceeded to change things around by bringing on the influential Dan Griffiths for Rob Fricker.

Five minutes from time the substitute played a neat one-two with Churchill before round Smith and slotting home the winning goal into an empty net.

. BUCKLAND Athletic were made to work hard for their opening victory of the season as they began the defence of their title with a 2-1 victory at Pennygillam over a determined Launceston outfit.

The closeness of the final scoreline suggested a struggle for the Bucks but assistant manager Jamie Carwardine was convinced the word 'struggle' did not apply to this game.

"I would not look at the result as a struggle, just as a competitive game in which our quality and professionalism shone through in the end," he said.

"Launceston are a good side who are very well organised, work hard and they will cause a few upsets this season.

"It was an important start for us to get three points on the board, as we lost at Launceston last season and that was our last league defeat, so already we are points up on the last campaign.

"It's an awkward game out of the way and one thing you do at your peril in this league is to underestimate any
Other articles:
http://www.saxmusic.net/Blog/View/?2496
http://xsdfghkl.bokee.com/viewdiary.225124062.html

Group clash in Odhav over stra

AHMEDABAD: It was a herd of stray cows that triggered a group clash in Odhav on Sunday afternoon. Members of two communities came at blows as three persons were injured and shifted to a private hospital. According to Odhav police station officials, cross-complaints have been filed in the case.
                                                             watches z
According to Odhav police station officials, Kadva Patidar Patel yuvak mandal had organised a blood donation camp in rememberance of martyr Major Rishikesh Ramani in Odhav. A motorcycle rally followed the programme that was going towards Khodiarnagar from Viratnagar at 4 pm on Sunday.

"When the youths were driving, a herd of stray cows came on the road and did not budge even when some of them tried to herd them out of the road. When they started beating them to move them away, a group of local Rabari youths protested against it and after verbal exchange, started pelting stones on the rally," said an Odhav police station official.

What ensued was confusion and chaos as the members of the rally in the back could not understand why it got stopped and started congregating on the road, blocking other traffic. Some of the youths were also injured in the incident, said police.

"As it was a major programme, we had deployed police along the Mulberry Handbags route of the rally and it helped us averting any major incident. Sensing the trouble, we had asked for personnel from two nearby police station who rushed to the spot and dispersed the crowd and set the rally in motion again. As per our report, three persons have been injured in stone-pelting and few others have got bruises. The situation is under control as on Sunday evening," said MS Sindha, inspector of Odhav police station.

Late on Sunday evening, both the parties approached police station to lodge a complaint against each other.

For Reprint Rights: timescontent.com

Other articles:
http://www.shuhuajiaoliu.cn/Blog/View/?774
http://www.nfrxw.com/Blog/View/?59

EX-BOCA 'PROBLEM SOLVER' WINS$

Lamar Powell remembers watching in amazement as his young son took apart home appliances and put them back together.

"Mike, how do you know how to do that?" he would ask.

"I just know," Michael would answer.

Later, when Michael began dabbling with electricity, his father was concerned.

"Mike, that stuff can hurt you," he warned.

"Don't worry, Dad. I know what I'm doing," was the response.

Always impressed with his son's mechanical wizardry, the Hobe Sound retiree said he has never been prouder than when he watched him take on hardware giant Home Depot to get recognition for his work. Not to mention a $23.9million verdict.

Michael Powell sloughs off accolades. A devout Christian, he said he simply did what he thought was right.

"The Lord had given me this idea. He helped me come up with this," the 53-year-old former Boca Raton resident said of his invention. "When it was stolen from me, he told me to pursue Home Depot."

And, he said, it wasn't just about him.

"It's for all the other guys out there," he said. "How many vendors out there lost contracts after years of service and had no idea why?"

Luckily, for Powell, he had more than an idea.
   Pulsar Watch Replica
In what U.S. District Judge Daniel Hurley said illustrated Home Depot's arrogance and greed, the company took pictures of executives standing over the device Powell invented. Armed with pencils and tablets, they took measurements so they could duplicate it.

"How much clearer could it be?" Hurley said last month, upholding a jury's $15 million verdict and tacking on nearly $9 million in punitive damages and attorney fees. "It is sad to say, but Home Depot literally organized the theft of the Powell invention. Big, wealthy Home Depot just blew off Michael Powell."

And, Powell said, it didn't have to be that way.

   Safe Hands ripped off

A former microwave repairman who had branched out into all types of machine repair, he had a contract with Home Depot for years to fix machines in its stores, first in Florida and then across the country. So he wanted to help when he learned radial saws used to cut wood for customers also had a nasty habit of taking A. Lange & Sohne Replica Watch off employees' fingers -- and worse.

Top executives knew the service gave the chain a competitive edge. But the mounting lost fingers were driving up workers compensation costs. If the problem wasn't fixed, the saws would be yanked.

Within days of learning about the problem on May 4, 2004, Powell had come up with a way to solve it. A saw guard he dubbed Safe Hands would keep workers' fingers from getting under the blade. Further, he invented a dust collection system to solve a companion problem that also threatened the wood-cutting service. A vacuum kept sawdust from fouling the air and collecting under the saw, where it became a fire hazard.

Impressed, Home Depot asked him to build prototypes for eight stores in Georgia and California. While the saw guard and dust collectors worked, the two sides couldn't agree on price. Home Depot offered to pay $1,200 a unit -- less than it cost Powell to produce them. Then they just went away.

Other articles:
http://ameblo.jp/xsdfghkl/entry-10603307375.html
http://jq169.net/Blog/View/?379

THE war against the motorist ended today when the new Transport Secretary outed himself as a keen Jaguar driver who is too nervous to cycle on London's busy streets.
                           Germany
Philip Hammond freely admitted to the Evening Standard that he loves being at the wheel of his diesel-powered Jaguar XJ, a luxurious car capable of surging along at 140mph while gobbling 35 miles of fuel to the gallon.

The minister even owned up to having three points on his licence for speeding at 62mph on a 50mph stretch of the A3 on a quiet night heading home to his Runnymede constituency.

"Yes, I like driving," he confessed. "I don't much like driving in London but I do like it out on the open road."

His comments mark a contrast with bike-loving London Mayor Boris Johnson and Lord Adonis, Mr Hammond's Labour predecessor, who was a bicycle and train enthusiast. But the Transport Secretary is keen to reassure the public that he is no "petrolhead", and that he takes safety and the environment deeply seriously. His car was "the greenest in its class" when he bought it.

"I'm not a fan of Top Gear... My children say I drive like an old man." But he does not seem keen on walking to work, pointing out that his Horseferry Road ministerial office, half a mile from the Commons, is "a good 10 minutes' hoof" to Westminster Tube station.
                       jewelry-d
Since his appointment, Mr Hammond has been picked up by a government driver in a Honda Civic from home in Pimlico, a 30- minute walk from his office. Could he cycle in? "I've never actually cycled in London," he said. "I'd have to take a deep breath. I think you need to know what you are doing to cycle in London."
       http://www.wubags.com/handbags-s/
The married father of three, 54, wants cycling made safer. "Cyclists need to be more aware of the risks around them. It frightens me to death when I see them pull out around other cyclists, completely unaware there is a car behind. Maybe they need wing mirrors."

He added: "For 20 years I have said to my wife I'd love to be Transport Secretary. Like everybody else I've sat in traffic jams and said, 'If I was Secretary of State I'd sort this out'. Of course, what you learn is that it's not quite so straightforward as that because there's always someone else..." He meant the legions of private companies, devolved powers and state regulators his department has to deal with.

He smiled and recalled: "My 11-year-old said to me, after I had been in the job two days, 'So if it's Network Rail's fault when the trains are late, and if it's the Mayor's fault when roadworks close the streets, what exactly is the point of your job?'"

Other articles:
http://www.qhdxx.cn/Blog/View/?1053
http://www.xg198.com/Blog/View/?2078

My first Test wicket at Lord's

Steven Finn has probably lost count of the number of wickets he has taken at Lord's, but he will never forget his first on his home ground in Test cricket.
                                                               Replica Oris Watches
The 21-year-old Middlesex seamer provided the only success for an England bowler on a tough second day of the series against Bangladesh, which closed with the tourists on 172-2 in reply to 505.

Tamim Iqbal and Junaid Siddique both hit half-centuries as Bangladesh fought back following Jonathan Trott's 226.

But Finn found extra bounce in his second spell from his favoured pavilion end to see off opener Imrul Kayes.

"It was a fantastic feeling to get my first (Test) wicket at Lord's in front of that crowd and the atmosphere," he said.
          Jacob & Co. All Case
"Initially, I wasn't sure whether he had gloved it or it came off his forearm or what, but I was excited to see it go through like that."

Finn accepts there is likely to be much hard work ahead on a slow pitch before England can celebrate the expected victory here and in the second Test at Old Trafford.

"At the moment it looks like a battle of attrition, us again trying to limit their Replica Audemars Piguet Watches boundary options and being clever with field- setting and able to attack at the right time," he added.

"We're still 300 odd runs ahead, so if we can get a couple of quick wickets that's going to be in the back of their minds that they could potentially be following on within a session."

Other articles:
http://ertyhvcfs.blogspot.es/1282286481/governor-general-announces-the/
http://xsdfghkl.canalblog.com/archives/2010/06/28/18442581.html

Diamonds shine brightly to den

A weakened Rebels side were beaten by a Newcastle outfit who are looking stronger than in previous years.

Somerset were without Cory Gathercole and Christian Hefenbrock, who were competing in the Grand Prix qualification series in Italy, but failed to secure places in next year's competition, finishing 13th and 14th respectively.
                     Body Glove Replica Watches
The Rebels suffered a major setback in the opening heat, for the second meeting running, as Kenni Larsen and Derek Sneddon flew from the gate to lead at the first turn. Despite a challenge from Ritchie Hawkins, the Diamonds duo held on for a full house.

Dakota North put the track knowledge he has gained when guesting for the Rebels to good use in heat two, when he took the lead on the way into the second bend and held on to take victory from James Holder.

Heat three should have been a chance for the Rebels to close the gap, as Rene Bach was excluded for delaying the start, after jumping the gun on the original running, and again in the restart.

However, Sam Masters returned to the pits and failed to return in time, so was excluded himself. After a brief conference, the Rebels decided to replace Masters with Holder, rather than having their initial rider start 15 metres back, alongside Bach.

Former Rebel Jason King took the heat, with Holder second and Bach third.

Two shared heats followed, with yet another former Rebel, Mark Lemon, taking heat four with a wide outside run on the first turn. Shane Parker was second and Jake Anderson third.

Heat five saw Larsen claim his second win, despite a strong challenge from Masters, while Hawkins finished third.

Parker became the first Rebel to win a heat as he took the next race. Lemon and Jordan Frampton battled hard for second place, with Lemon eventually coming out on top to restrict the Rebels to a 4-2 success.

However, the Rebels gave up a 4-2 in the next heat. The lead changed hands several times between Parker and Bach before the Diamonds man came out on top, with King third.

Frampton came out on top in a Rebels 4-2 in heat eight, having been given the ride as a rider replacement for Hefenbrock.

Sneddon came second after seeing off Holder.

Heat nine was shared, as Lemon took the win for the visitors. Masters pressured the Diamonds' rider, switching his line from outside to in and back again, but Lemon denied the youngster the opportunity to overtake. Hawkins followed Masters home to ensure a share of the points.

Four points adrift, the hosts' chances took a massive blow in heat 10, as the Newcastle side took maximum points.

Masters flew into the lead from the tapes, but Bach lost control of his bike and caused Frampton and King to crash. All three Breitling Replica riders ended up on the floor, and King sustained a thumb injury, which meant he had to be replaced by North in the rerun.

Referee Paul Carrington did not see anything wrong with Bach's riding, meaning the rerun took place with a full complement of riders.

In the rerun, the inevitable happened, and the Diamonds pair, led by the errant Bach, flew from the tapes to take the honours. Masters finished third, with Frampton struggling.

The Rebels hit back in the next two heats, with Parker leading them
Other articles:
http://www.qhdxx.cn/Blog/View/?687
http://ameblo.jp/xsdfghkl/entry-10584835726.html

Diamonds are Dubai's best frie

Millions of dollars of diamonds are on display at The Bride Show Dubai this week and one lucky bride-to-be could even go home with a 50 carat fancy intense yellow radiant diamond engagement ring, so long as her fianc has $2million (AED7.34million) to hand.

South African Jewels is taking part in the largest bridal exhibition in the Middle East for the second time to sell some of the world's most Giverchy Bags Replica exquisite diamonds to Dubai's elite at wholesale price, some 50 per cent less than retail prices. The company's decision to sell at wholesale was made because Dubai customers still typically pay in cash and upfront.

Following on from their participation in The Bride Show Abu Dhabi in February, where they displayed a $1million (AED3.67million) 25 carat yellow diamond engagement ring, South African Jewels has brought a number of pieces guaranteed to drop jaws and pop eyes. Upon request, the company will bring the 50 carat engagement ring, worth a staggering $2million (AED7.34million), which has a prestigious Gemological Institute of America certificate, from South Africa to Dubai for a personal viewing.

At The Bride Show Dubai visitors Replica Audemars Piguet Watch are being drawn to a diamond necklace carrying 60 carats of diamonds, which retails for $390,000 (AED1.43million) but is being sold at the show for $195,000 (AED716,225) and a 9.5 carat white diamond engagement ring which would set men preparing to pop the question back $400,000 (AED1.46million) from any retailer but which is available for sale until Saturday 10 April for $200,000 (AED734,589).

"We do not solely cater for the most expensive tastes; our diamonds range from $20 (AED73) to $500million (AED1.84bn) with any kind of certification," said Gary Shuster, owner of South African Jewels.
