治安も良く住みやすい街です。

Newbury St.では時々馬車が見られます。
東京でいうと表参道のようなところです。

近代的な建物と歴史的な建物が時折混ざっていて風情あります。

赤レンガの建物が多く美しいです。





ダウンタウンにある私の大学

家の近くでは時々リスを見かけます♪

日本では見られない光景がボストンにはたくさんありますね(^^)

一度は観光に来られてみると面白いと思います♪

私は勉学に勤しんでおります(b^-゜)




最近社会人のお友達に薦めていただき、面白い本を発見したので紹介しますね。

「フェルミ推定力」というワードは御存知ですか？





簡単に説明しますね(*^-^)b




私達の周りでは普段数字を頻繁に使います。
例えば、「今年はサメによる被害が2倍！」とか、「今週の宝くじの賞金は1億ドル！」、というものです。
皆さんはこれらの意味を具体的に数字で表せますか？どれ位の数の大きさなのか想像できますか？
数字が世の中のことを理解するために必要なものであることわ間違いありません。


紛らわしい事が多く、時に矛盾することもある、 こうした数字の意味を理解するために必要なものは、たったの2つにすぎません。
（1)大きい数字の意味に対する理解、そして、（2)ほんのわずかな基本技術をもとに大まかで常識的な推定を行う能力です。
これを伝説的な物理学者エンリコ･フェルミにちなんで、「フェルミ推定」とは呼ばれています。

解りましたか？？




では実際に問題を解いてみましょう(・ω・)/


Q）世界中の人口をぎゅうぎゅうに寄せ集めるとどのくらいの広さが必要でしょうか？

ヒントは
･世界人口は約60億人です。
･１平方メートル辺り何人入ると思いますか。（寝たり食べたり遊んだりするスペースは考慮しません）

さらにヒント
･60億=6×10の9乗です。
･はっきりとは言えませんが1平方メートル辺り3~10人だとすると平均6人とします。










ここまでくると後は計算ですね！

答えは、、、


･1平方メートル当たり6人だとすると60億人に必要な広さは、10億平方メートルです。

10億平方メートルをキロメートル単位に換算すると、
10の9乗平方メートルを1キロ平方メートル割る10の6乗平方メートルで掛けるので、10の3乗平方キロメートルとなります。
（1キロメートル=1000メートル=10の3乗、そして1平方キロメートルは10の3乗の正方形=10の6乗となります。）

つまり、1000平方キロメートルの広さが必要となります。こえは1辺が30キロメートル程の正方形です。

これはロサンゼルスやヴァージニアビーチといった大都市の面接です(｀・ω・´)ゞ

I read this book written about an intelligence organization all over the world.
Whenever we hear someone mention"an intelligence organization",we imagine the FBI or CIA. Actually,there are many intelligence organization each country and world history have been greatly influenced by them. Especially, when world warⅡ broke out, they were important key to divide between a victory and defeat.They sent spies into a hostile country many times. Most spies took rigorous training, after that, made a forged passport to invade other countries. Once they invade hostile country, they pass themselve off an inhabitant just like the person who have settled down the community for a long time. If they were arrested for trespass, they are put on the rack to expose a plot or information by a hostile's organization.
So, their duty involves a great risk"life and death". Interestingly,some of them become a double agent. Such the case, they are allured by huge sum of money.It's difficult to perceive whether he is a double agent or not. Always an intelligence organization doesn't relax.
However,in our times, an artificial or computer science help their activity.An artificial located by America can catch the ground to size of person. Also,each intelligence have specialized hacker.They can hack private information from other countries without traces.Bringing up of brilliant agent is very hard, so that an intelligence organization are hoping such as skills.
In Japan, we don't have such like secret agents.Japanese intelligence called "the Public Security Investigation Agency" correspond only an organization that threat in own country. Compared with American CIA,our intelligence follows lawful.So, Japan is called "spy's heven" at one time.
An intelligence organization has a lot of world history. And, they always defend each native countries.

I like this hair style.A beautician who charge of my hair said that you look younger than before because of making a fringe of hair.
In fact,although I am twenty, most people said to me that I have age more than true age.

Firstly we had a lunch and enjoy window shopping in Umeda. We had a plan that we're going to go an aquarium and sightseeing of Doutonbori or Minami.
But, we changed our plans because we found an advertisement of exhibition"Tutankarmen" in SUNTORY hall on our way to go an aquarium. Fortunately, SUNTORY hall was the next to an aquarium. We were having a run of good luck that day!

While we waited for exhibition, we rode a Ferris wheel.It's been a long time since I rode it last. It's so exsited! We could see beautiful Osaka bay illuminated by the sunset with eating takoyaki.

Finaly, It started at 19:30 and finished at 21:00.
And, I got a bus to get back Tokyo at 22:00.


I had very good time during trip. Especially,exhibition of Egypt's Tutankarmen was so good because I usually can't look it transported from Egypt national museum. I have an interest in ancient civilization in the world. The boy called Tutankarmen has a key to solve mystery of pyramid. Many historical records or decorations were in glass case. Also,dear accessories and statue of Tutankarmen made from gold was so beautiful. They fascinated our eyes.
I thought that I want to go to Egypt to explore the pyramid someday.

Usually I can't visit nature places because of liveing in city, so that I could feel relaxation and breathed fresher air.

I asked to Daikokusama that I wish I could transfer the University of Notre Dame Maryland in the U.S.☆
,,,But, it is not better thing to depend on him. As a matter of fact, I need to try hard in my study! :)



After that, we had Kyouryouri.

I love Kyouryouri which has beauty and Japanese heart. I think Kyouryour is the best in the world. I want to eat it everyday!


Also,we rode in a ricksha and enjoyed to see the street in Gionn.

We had a very good time in Kyoto.
Next time when I come, I want to see "maikosann" and to be like a them with kimono, hare and make up!

First day, l arrived at Sannomiya station in Kobe city.

After I enjoyed shopping in Sannomiya, I left for Rokko where my friend live in.
It has been a long time since we met last year.
We went to Motomati which has many places we can enjoy.

We went up a Poat tower by an elevator.
View was so beautiful. Especially, ferris wheel's light in Mozaic illuminated ocean beautifully and light of various colors delighted our eyes.


After that, we went to Oriental hotel's highest floor and had a full-course dinner.

I bought this book in Shibuya yesterday which written by Yoshihisa Nishimura, who set up a English school and worked as translator in past. Also, he recieved an Academy Award of literature in 2008.
Recenty,l was distressed by own English ability. I have an ability of reading, but when I speak English, I can't express better on own words. I thought that I have to do my English over again to a basic. At that time, I found this book by chance.
I haven't comprehended a root of prepositin over many years and I have merely known English sentenses by heart and repeated. But I can reconize that English has two important things on deepen understanding.
First, we need to undetstand a sence of cause and effect.（原因と結果）
Secand,we need to imagine circumstances:judge from variety situations when we use English words.（情景発想）

I don't write more about this book over.(*_*) If you were interest in, why don't you refer to?(^-^)/
